BACKGROUND : Justin Kye was banished from his pure-blood, Slytherin family after he was sorted into Gryffindor and married a muggle. His dad vowed to torment any member of their family that set foot in Hogwarts to no end, so Callie and Justin fled to Toronto to protect their future children. Jonathan and Jennifer grew up to be extremely skilled at magic and were sorted into the Thunderbird and Horned Serpent houses, respectively. Jennifer became an auror and was transferred to London for her job, and she was never heard from or seen again. A year later, Jonathan, who was a seeker for the Stonewall Stormers, was in an accident that resulted in him losing his life. Ivy was very close to both of her older siblings, and she lost both of them before she turned five. Her parents became very alarmed and shielded Ivy from all magic, covering up the real reason for her siblings’ deaths. They homeschooled her and cut her off from the world. Her parents moved the family from apartment to apartment, never staying in the same place for more than a year. She became quiet and antisocial and rarely talked to anyone other than her parents. The year of her eleventh birthday was fast approaching, and her parents moved even more frequently. They hoped that the letter would never come. Living next door to their current apartment at the time was one of Justin’s cousins. His cousin, Daniel, knew that Ivy would be in grave danger if she went to Ilvermony, so he warned the family and offered to take Ivy to “study abroad”. Although wary, Ivy’s parents took Daniel up on the offer and sent her off to London with him. A few days after her birthday, her letter arrived and Daniel took her to buy her supplies. Ivy was amazed at everything she saw in Diagon Alley, and didn’t stop asking questions; the first time in five years she said more than one sentence. Although she was a bit mad about her parents never telling her about her abilities, she understood that it was out of love. Daniel taught Ivy the basics of the wizarding world and on the day she was to leave on the Hogwarts Express, he warned her to watch out for her relatives. The Sorting Hat gave her a choice between Ravenclaw and Slytherin and she picked Slytherin, because something about the house called to her. On that same day, she received and owl from her uncle saying that her parents were found dead in their apartment and warned her to never come back for holidays or breaks so that she would be safe.

PERSONALITY : Ivy is a complete mystery to many people at Hogwarts. Everyone knows her, but at the same time, they don’t. She blends into the background only speaks when answering a question from the teacher. She always supplies the right answers in class and many wonder if she should have been put in Ravenclaw. Most people at Hogwarts don’t about her family or why she doesn't go home for holidays, they don’t even know what blood she is. Many rumors and much gossip have been stirred up about her mainly due to her cousin, Ben, who also torments and bullies her to no end. He also cracks jokes about her family and how she’ll be seeing them soon. She doesn’t give two f’s about it though and remains emotionless and cold on the outside, never letting him see her feelings. The only thing Ben never dares speak of is her blood, as it would bring embarrassment to him as well, so no one knows she’s the only Half-Blood in Slytherin. While she’s the infamous Ice Queen to most people at Hogwarts, to her friends, she’s a completely different person. When she is with her friends, and only with her friends, the girl behind the frozen mask comes out. Inside, she’s a total tomboy and sometimes acts like a boy, but she is also very childish and inocent and naive. She wouldn’t get a crude joke if it slapped her in the face, and eats faster than she runs away from water. If she sees anything that is cute and/or blue, she will immediately try to touch it. She is still extremely curious about the wizarding world and always has a question to ask about it. Her friends will always try to answer to the best of their abilities. She treats her friends as family, well, they basically are her family, and she will go crazy lengths for them and to keep them safe. She’s not exactly the mother because that’s Your Song’s job, but she makes sure they stay out of trouble, especially Zig Zag and Polaris. She really annoys The Voice with her “improper and unwomanly” ways because she always goofs off with the guys. Even though Ivy is very open to her friends, she has not told them about where her family is or why she runs away from water, thinking that they would reject her if she did. She likes to prank her friends with her powers by freezing their drinks and such, knowing no one would be suspicious of her. If you get her mad, god bless your soul.

PATRONUS : Arctic Fox- That’s the form she takes as an animagus. Also because she was born in Canada and is resistant to the cold. The arctic fox also has a thick fur and layers of fat to protect itself from the cold, similar to how she has an ice cold mask that doesn’t let the rumors and tormenting get to her.


OTHER :
She's a semi-mer- The family moved to Hawaii when she was in fourth grade. She only remembers swimming in the ocean and finding a cave, then everything was black and she woke up in her bed, thinking it was just a dream. Ever since, she does her best to avoid water at all costs, and will go to some pretty crazy lengths to do so. It does come with perks though, and she has the ability to freeze, heat, and move the water and has an angelic singing voice. Her mermaid form resembles that of a siren, not the merpeople of the Black Lake, and she has a dark blue tail with gold specks.
She’s also an animagus (registered of course). Her uncle taught her how to, in case she was in danger. She takes the form of an arctic fox, which is a little funny to her because of her natural resistance to the cold, similar to the fox. She uses her fox form to follow her friends sometimes, as her coat provides camouflage in both warm and cold seasons if she’s suspicious of them getting into trouble. You can tell it’s her because of the blue-tipped tail she has, just like her blue-tipped hair. When she’s in fox-form, she doesn’t sprout a tail when she gets wet.

PERSONALITY : Tae is known as a bad boy around school. He’s usually the one to go to if something’s vandalised or if food goes flying across the Great Hall. many are amazed at how he hasn’t been expelled. Inside though, he’s a ball of energy and happiness. He is extremely childish, just like Ivy, and never seems to run out of energy. He loves messing with his hyungs and is a star quidditch player for his house. Lots of girls have crushes on him, but he’s completely unaware of it. He’s the type of guy that blocks out everything once he concentrates on something. He’s extremely stubborn and will do what his mind is set on, no matter the consequences.

HOW DID THEY MEET :
On the second day of school, both got lost and were late to Herbology and ran into each other, earning both of them a spot in the infirmary for a day with concussions. Ivy also sprained her ankle, causing her to cry a little, which made her turn into a mermaid. She managed revert to her human form just as the teachers came, but left Tae completely shocked. She told him to promise to not tell a single person, or else he’ll regret it.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS :

HOW DOES HE ACT AROUND HER :
At first, he’s a bit wary of her, she did threaten his life. When he’s with her though, he makes sure that no water touches her, and that sometimes leads to some awkward situations. He is a bit awkward around her, because she's known as the Ice Queen and he doesn’t know how to approach her. When she shows him her inner self, they become really good friends and like doing kiddy stuff together. The others always teased the two and, being the children they are, they ignored them and gave them the silent treatment. This made Tae think though, and he soon didn’t know what his feelings for Ivy were. Tae was the one who gave her the nickname poison ivy, and it’s the only thing he calls her. When Ivy ran out of the classroom when he was talking to one of their female classmates, he didn’t know why and followed her. He found her curled up crying in a broom closet, not even caring that she was in her mermaid form, and was extremely confused and worried about her. He comforted her and asked her why she was crying. She confessed to him and then ran out of the closet, making him absolutely confused. For an entire week, she froze him out, and he was hurt and even more confused as to why she never waited to hear his answer because he returned her feelings. He asks his hyungs and Jungkook what to do in this situation and they tell him they’ll help him plan a confession. On the day the confession is planned, Ivy gets taken by Ben, he’s absolutely devastated and doesn’t rest until Ivy’s found. He finds her unconscious in the basement of Kye manor, he confesses to her, thinking she wouldn’t hear. He confesses to her they way it was planned before and they become a couple. He always gives her hugs and kisses when she least expects them, but only with their friends, and always does aegyo or puppy eyes to convince her to do something because he knows she can’t resist cute things. They fight about little things, then give each other the silent treatment. The next day they're on good terms again, making the others tease them about their childishness.

HOW DOES SHE ACT AROUND HIM :
At first, Ivy’s always teasingly scaring Tae by secretly freezing his drink, or splashing water on him as he is the only one who knows her secret. She’s touched that he tries his best to make sure she doesn’t touch water, but is embarrassed and a little amused about how awkward he can make things trying to do so. She finds it adorable how the school’s bad boy gets really nervous and awkward around her, but keeps her Ice Queen mask on until she can fully trust him. She eventually warms up to him and they become great friends due to their similar personalities that they usually keep hidden during school. She tells him everything about her past and family and promises she’ll tell the others soon. The stuff the others think as “too childish”, they do together. As a result though, they’re always teased by their friends because of it and she earned many glares from jealous girls. Ivy doesn’t think twice about the teasing or the glares and brushes it off. She knows no one would like a weirdo like her and promised herself to never fall in love. She broke that promise when she saw Tae talking to a girl who was clearly liked and was flirting with him, and ran out of the room in tears. She ran into an empty broom closet before she turned into a mermaid in the middle of the hall. When Tae found her curled up in a ball in mermaid form and comforted her, her feelings got more jumbled. She confessed to him and ran out of the closet, thinking that she would be rejected. She was embarrassed about her sudden confession and ignored him for a week, treating him the same way she does to most people at Hogwarts and gave him the cold shoulder. She goes to The Fool for advice and she tells Ivy to hear Tae out. She immediately goes to seek him out and gets knocked out and taken by Ben. Locking her in the basement of the Kye manor, Ben and his family constantly torment and hurt her, telling her she has no right to be alive and that she’ll be seeing her family soon. She was half-conscious when Tae found her and she heard his confession. She was extremely shocked at the confession and even more so at the sweet confession he made when she was fully recovered. They act like two kindergarteners dating, and Tae always does sweet things for her. She does eventually tell everyone else about her family and ability to turn into a mermaid, only because Tae dumped water on her and she was forced to.


RELATIONSHIP : Basically like your average elementary school couple, they act like total kids and argue about random things, and end up forgetting why they were fighting in the first place.

Confession in the Room of Requirement where he sings Beautiful to her with Jungkook, Hobi, and Jimin. (lol I lowkey want this to happen in real life now but I’m gonna be forever alone T-T)

When Tae hears singing coming from an empty classroom, he looks in to see Ivy singing while playing the ukulele. He sits a little ways away and starts singing a harmony part to it. He doesn’t know that she heard him and she pretended that she didn’t.

They were playing truth or dare, and Yoongi dared Hobi to go outside in the snow in only shorts and a tank top for at least five minutes. Hobi, scared to death, doesn’t want to do it, so Ivy volunteers to do it if Hobi will buy her Honeydukes candy and a butterbeer next time they go to Hogsmeade. She runs outside and disappears for an hour, scaring the crap out of everyone, and they all panic trying to find her. She wasn't in any trouble, but had turned into a mermaid due to the fact that she didn’t have shoes on. She turned into her fox-form and followed them around, using her white fur as camouflage and then jumping in front of them, just as they were going to get the teachers.
