Moving out

Hello,

I have recently been talking a lot about moving out and I just want to write all my thoughts down in one place.

I love living at home and I am so thankful for my parents who are letting me stay with them, but I want to be on my own. I want to experience life for myself and have more responsibility. In no means am I moving because of my parents, but I do feel it is time for them to live on their own as well. I mean, who wants their 23 year old daughter to live with them until she is 30? lol

I've talked about moving to BC since I was about 18. I love the province, I feel like there is more activities for me to do there. The only down side to BC is that it is SUPER expensive. It is the most expensive place to live on the west coast of Canada. I have been thinking more recently about finances and if I will be able to live, and I will. I just have to learn to be really money conscious and some things in my life I will have to put on hold until I am more financially stable (a dog).

With all this being said, I am very scared. I've been the baby of my family and I have had myself taken care of for so long that I am worried I won't be able to handle it. I have been cooking more and learning how to budget efficiently. Small steps towards caring for myself on my own. I also have been feeling that there is this weird judgment for people living at home into their mid 20's and all I have to say to that is, it's expensive to move out and most jobs don't pay enough in order to find decent living space.

I say on my own but I will be living with someone else. I know it may seem like it's too soon, but I honestly don't believe in waiting till a certain point in a relationship to move in, especially since it is long distance. I still have a lot to think about and a lot of growing to do myself, but I think for right now, I am making the best decisions I can with my life. If I don't take a leap now, I won't anytime soon.

If anyone who has moved out wants to give me tips, I would greatly appreciate it.
