After a long absence due to holiday, we're finally confident enough to reveal to you guys the first character of the Legacy Project. This is Rika Isabelle Sullivan, an astronomer.

Some of you may have seen this picture floating around somewhere before, but we've since changed and added more information regarding her, not all of which am I allowed to reveal in this short introduction. Perhaps this introduction will give readers an insight into Rika more so than the other image that has headlined our blog for quite some time.

In this featured photograph, Rika can be seen wearing the attire that she sports 99% of the time. Her neatly tied labcoat frames a crimson tie and skirt, complete with a nametag, which she proudly wears, always enjoying the recognition that she gets for being tasked with such important duties at such a young age.

Let's take a look at Rika's life:

Rika was born into an incredibly prestigious bloodline. Her mother, a Japanese nuclear scientist, and her father, an up and coming English immunologist decided that the best way to expand their repertoire of scientific outreach was to cultivate a child that was to take a front seat in the increasingly rapid development of intergalactic space travel. This child was Rika.

As the imminent war forced her parents further and further apart, and subsequently; further from her, Rika was regularly left alone with her thoughts. Her educational isolation allowed Rika to develop an increasingly shy attitude towards kids her own age, in addition to an undying, imperishable love of the endless expanse of the universe.

The death of her father as the war draws to a close leaves an enigmatic yet conflicted Rika with more money than she could have ever needed. After catching wind of the recent endeavors of an intergalactic pioneer and celebrated war hero being on track with her own personal research, Rika decides to fund an upcoming mission to an unmarked section of space. Something that could finally be her big break.



Sadly, I cannot yet go beyond this.
