The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Bulgaria presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and has honour to inform that Azerbaijan’s State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under President launched ASAN Visa portal on December 16.

The ASAN visa portal designed to simplify procedures for issuing visas to foreigners and stateless persons visiting Azerbaijan. The portal, which was operating in test mode from December 16, will be fully put into operation starting January 10, 2017.

Foreigners will be able to apply for visas and obtain them without waiting in the queue and collecting documents. As the type of visa is an "electronic tourist visa", it is required to pay for at least one tourist service in order to apply for e-Visa.

People with dual nationality should choose the nationality according to the passport to be used for the travel. If the country of travel document registered on the e-visa is different than the passport carried, the e-Visa will be invalid. Passports are meant as travel documents. Other travel documents are not acceptable for an e-Visa application.

Based on this government rule, The ASAN visa portal have prepared two options: Simple package and Full package. However, citizens of some countries are not eligible to apply for simple package. In order to know your eligibility, it is necessary to press Apply now button, select country of travel document from the drop down menu and applicant will see which package is available for him/her.

Simple package
Applicants need to choose Simple package, if they have already booked their hotel through any other company. The price of Simple package is 71 USD. This price is included e-Visa Government fee (20 USD) and "Old City Baku" walking tour (51 USD).

Full package
Applicants need to choose Full package, if they are going to book their hotel during the e-Visa application process. The price of Full package is 20 USD+hotel amount. This price is included e-Visa Government fee (20 USD) and the Hotel which applicants will select during the application process.

The government fee of the e-Visa is 20 USD. According to online payment rules of Azerbaijan, the system automatically converted the price to the Azerbaijan national currency based on the currency rate of Central Bank of The Republic of Azerbaijan.

Applicants are advised to apply for an e-Visa, at least, 6 business days before departure from their country.
