西暦2021年 南極大陸日本領…
MART(多国籍南極氷床下調査隊)本部にて
人型兵器ディーダリオンのテストが行われた。
In the year A.D. 2021, in the Japanese territory of Antarctica... A test was conducted on the humanoid weapon, Didarion, at MART (Multinational Antarctic Research Team) Headquarters.


その最中、謎の巨人が突如現れ、
ディーダリオンを襲撃。深手を負った彼は
秘められた力を解放し、並行世界への扉を開いた。
In the midst of this, two mysterious titans suddenly emerged and assaulted Didarion. Severely wounded, he unleashed his hidden power and opened the gate to a parallel world.


そこに居合わせた大門恵留率いるDT (MARTの
人型機動兵器) テストパイロットチームは、
散り散りになって別々の世界へ転移した。
The DT (MART’s humanoid mobile weapons) Test Pilot Team led by Meguru Daimon, that were present at the time of the incident, were scattered to separate parallel worlds.


その中のひとり、ユニス・エアリーが跳ばされた先は
似て非なる地球…
One of the members, Eunice Airy, has been sent to an Earth far different from her own...


かつて、アポロ17号により月面で発見された
古代火星文明の遺産ハイパーゲートは、人類に
火星への移住と開拓の道を開いたが…
A world where the Hypergate, a remnant of ancient Martian civilization, was discovered on the moon’s surface by Apollo 17. This discovery would pave the way for mankind to settle on and terraform Mars.


その結果、火星の遺跡とその古代テクノロジーである
アルドノアの占有を主張するヴァース帝国が出現。
彼らは地球連合へ宣戦を布告した。
As a result, the Vers Empire arose and claimed sole ownership of the Martian ruins, as well as the ancient technology known as Aldnoah. Then, they would declare war on the United Earth.


月面での激しい攻防戦の末、
暴走したハイパーゲートは月そのものを破壊。
地球に甚大な被害が生じ、地球人類の半数が死亡した。
After a fierce battle erupted, the Hypergate went out of control, leading to the destruction of the moon. The consequence of which resulted in extensive damage to the Earth and the death of half of its population.


その後、地球連合と火星ヴァース帝国の間で
休戦協定が結ばれたが、争いの火種は
完全に消えたわけではなかった。
Afterwards, the United Earth and the Martian Vers Empire would agree to a truce, although the flames of conflict did not disappear completely.


そんな中、ヴァース帝国の第一皇女アセイラム・
ヴァース・アリューシアは、親善訪問にて惑星間の
緊張を緩和するべく、地球へ向かっていた…。
During this time, the First Princess of the Vers Empire, Asseylum Vers Allusia, prepared to visit Earth in good faith for the purpose of easing the tension between the two planets...

空も青くて海も青いというけれど、
前から不思議だったんです」
Asseylum: Tell me, Slaine. They say that its skies and seas are both blue, but that always seemed strange to me.

「地球では、水や空気に青い色が
付いているんでしょうか?」
Asseylum: Is there blue coloring in the Earth’s air and water?

スレイン
「いえ、水や空気は透明です。ただ、それが大量に
積み重なると光の屈折とかありまして…
青い色に見える…ってことだと思うんです」
Slaine: No, water and air are transparent. But, when the sun’s light passes through a lot of it at once, it gets refracted, or something like that... And that causes it to look blue to us... I believe that’s the explanation.

「光を歪める程たくさんの水と空気…!
すごいですね、想像もつきません!」
Asseylum: To think there is so much air and water that it bends light...! That’s astounding! I can’t even imagine it!

Slaine: Ahaha...

アセイラム
「私はこれより地球に降りて、親善の務めを果たします。
あなたに教わった様々な知識が
きっと役に立つことでしょう」

誰かが踏み出さねばならないのです」

地球に伝わる魔除けのお守りだと聞いています」

5年前、瀕死の僕と父を救ってくれた…そのお礼です。

Saazbaum: But what can one individual hope to accomplish? Furthermore the man has yet to show himself after he fled from Mars and escaped to Earth.

「彼が地球側へ情報をもたらしていれば、
彼奴らの対応も変わっていたであろう」
Saazbaum: If he had brought valuable information to the Terran’s forces, then they would have taken appropriate action well before now.

「とはいえ、何もせぬつもりだとは思えぬ。
あの男が火星から持ち出したのは、
金塊だけではないのだからな」
Cruhteo: Nevertheless, I cannot believe that he will merely twiddle his thumbs. Gold was not the only thing he took with him during his escape from Mars.

Saazbaum: Yes, but it was not the ability to use Aldnoah technology. Our opposition still cannot use [Kataphraktos] like our own.

Inaho: Ejection seat, functional. IFF confirmed. Tactical datalink, activated.

Inaho: They came just like I thought.

Inaho: It’s acting suspiciously... Must be manned.

Inaho: Can you hear my voice?

「並行世界の地球に存在する[MART]という組織が、
南極で巨人型兵器のテストをしていて、
そこに別の巨人が現れた」
Inaho: In a parallel world, an organization called [MART] was conducting a test on a giant humanoid weapon in Antarctica, when different titans suddenly showed up.

伊奈帆
「そして、彼らが引き起こした現象によって
君だけがここへ転移してしまった」
Inaho: And due to the phenomenon they caused, you have been separated from your friends and sent here.

ユニス
「うん…理解が早くて助かるよ、伊奈帆。
あたしだって信じられない話なのに…」
Eunice: Yeah... It’s great how fast you catch on, Inaho. I don’t think I would have believed it myself...

伊奈帆
「古代高度文明ってのは、こっちの世界にもあるしね」
Inaho: Ancient advance civilizations are something that exists in this world as well.

「え…? どういうこと?」
Eunice: Huh...? What do you mean?

伊奈帆
「悪いけど、これ以上話をする時間はない」
Inaho: Sorry, but we don’t have the time to talk any further.

「ちょっと、今度はあたしが質問する番よ!」
Eunice: Hold on, now it’s my turn to ask the questions!

(Eunice’s radar pings.)

「! 何かが接近してくる!」
Eunice: ! Something’s closing in on us!

「…ユニス、僕らは火星の軍隊と戦争をしてる」
Inaho: ...Eunice, we are currently at war with Martian forces.

(Aiais appear.)

「で、あれが敵機。君も狙われてる」
Inaho: Those are the enemy machines. They’ll target you too.

ユニス
「そんな!」
Eunice: Seriously!?

伊奈帆
「僕は避難民が逃げる時間を稼がなきゃならない。
戦えるなら、協力してくれ」
Inaho: I need to buy time for the refugees to escape. If you are willing to fight, please assist me.

ユニス
「い、いきなり実戦…!?」
Eunice: Y-you mean I have to fight a real battle for the first time...!?

「僕もだ」
Inaho: That goes for me as well.

ユニス
「わ、わかった!
こんな所で死ねるもんか!
やってやるわよ!!」
Eunice: I-I got it! I’m not gonna die in a place like this! I’ll take ‘em down!!

Inaho: You got over that fast.

Eunice: You mean more enemies are gonna show up...?

「ああ、僕らも避難しよう」
Inaho: Yes, which is why we should evacuate as well.

「あのいきなりでてきたマシンか。
ありゃ、何なんだ?」
Calm: Yeah, that other machine came out of nowhere. What the heck is it?

Inaho:  Well...

「伊奈帆、さっきの話の続きなんだけど…」
Eunice: Inaho, I wanna continue our talk from earlier but...

Calm: Hold on... The one piloting that thing was just a kid!?

「子供って…。

Eunice: Uh-uh, there’s no way I’m leaving my Grafdin behind!

「グラフ…? あのマシンの名前か?」
Calm: Graf...? Is that the name of your machine?

Okisuke: Who in the world are you?

「それは…説明すると長くなるんだけど」
Eunice: Well... The explanation would be kinda long.

「あの機体を放置するのは良くないか…。
なら、地球連合軍の基地まで連れて行く。
後のことはユキ姉たちに任せよう」
Inaho: I don’t believe leaving the machine unattended is a good idea either... So we’ll take it to the United Forces of Earth’s base. Then we can leave the rest up to Yuki.

Eunice: Yuki?

「僕の姉…軍でカタフラクトに乗ってる」
Inaho: My sister. She’s a soldier piloting a Kataphrakt.

ユニス
(軍の基地なら、情報も集められるわね…。
どういう扱いを受けるか不安だけど、仕方がない)
Eunice: (I could probably gather some intel since it’s a military base... I’m kinda worried how they’ll treat me, but there’s no other choice.)

「いいわよ、基地まで行くわ」
Eunice: Fine, let’s go to the base.

「敵と遭遇する可能性があるから、
僕はスレイプニールで行く。
韻子たちは車を探してくれ」
Inaho: I’ll take the Sleipnir as well, since we might run into enemies. Inko, you and the others go find a car.

「わかったわ」
Inko: On it.

「伊奈帆、俺らも基地へ行くのか」
Okisuke: We’re going to the base too, Inaho?

伊奈帆
「ああ、僕たちは孤立してしまってる。
危険度は高くなるけど、フェリー埠頭より
近い基地に向かった方がいい」
Inaho: Yeah, we’re running the risk of being isolated otherwise. It’ll be dangerous, but we have better odds of reaching a nearby military base than the faraway pier.

Calm: What do we do about these two?

There is a great difference in performance between Earth’s and Mars’s Kataphraktos, due to Martian Kataphraktos being equipped with Aldnoah Drives, which enables just 1 machine to be powerful enough to sway the flow of battle.
