  1. >Pinkie had finally got tired of shouting at you, and lied down.
  2. >You zone out until the dinner tray came again.
  3. >Good, you were hungry.
  4. >You go over to the dinner tray, and sort the food again.
  5. >How can she live without any of the other food? Doesn't she need protein?
  6. >You think back to when she specifically called you human.
  7. >She is human, right?
  8. >You hear Pinkie turn over. You look back to her.
  9. >Good. Still not facing you.
  10. >You take your pill, feeling relief, and walk back to the wall.
  11. >You sit only 10 feet away from Pinkie at this point. It was becoming unbearably close, but you stick to it.
  12. >You hoped that she wouldn't notice much. You didn't tell her, but you were still a little scared of her. She would want to hear that from you.
  13. >Pinkie turns to you, seeing you only a short distance away.
  14. Pinkie: What are you doing?
  15. I'm just eating..
  16. >Pinkie sits up, and looks at you.
  17. Pinkie: Why do you keep getting closer to me? What are you trying to do to me?
  18. I'm just trying-
  19. Pinkie: Stop. Stop trying to be my friend. I don't want you as a friend.
  20. But why? Why are you so against me being your friend? Why do you not want a friend?
  21. Pinkie: Because you'll just.. hurt me. Like all of the other humans! You are no different than them!
  22. How am I not different? Every human is different from each other. And why do you specify me as human?
  23. Pinkie: Because! I'm not human! And I don't ever want to be friends with one! They're cruel and mean!
  24. Then what are you?! An alien, or a robot or something?
  25. >You have watched way to many movies.
  26. Pinkie: No! I'm none of those!
  27. Then what is it then? If you're not human, what are you?
  28. Pinkie: It's none of your business Aanon!!
  29. >Pinkie turns your back on you, and you swear you hear her sobbing.
  30. Pinkie, you already know I'm not like the humans here. Have I ever tried to hurt you, at all?
  31. Pinkie: Well.. no..
  32. Have I ever been mean to you, no matter how mean you were to me?
  33. Pinkie: No.. But..
  34. Pinkie, I'm not going to fight you on this. There are a lot of cruel, and heartless humans out there.
  35. >Pinkie scoffs.
  36. But there is also a lot of good humans. Kind humans. Humans that don't want to hurt others.
  37. >You see Pinkie tremble.
  38. You just seemed to have met the wrong ones, and maybe one day, when we get out of here, I could show you the kindness of others.
  39. >You emphasized on the when, hoping to comfort her in any way.
  40. Pinkie: Why do you try so hard Aanon? Why do you want to be friends with someone who has said over and over again that they hate you?
  41. Because, I know that deep down, you don't mean it.
  42. Pinkie: Yes I do.
  43. One day Pinkie, You'll accept my friendship, and my kindness.
  44. Pinkie: And if I don't?
  45. Then I'll just keep waiting.
  46. >Pinkie sighs.
  47. >You walk over to the tray, and slide it over to her, then walk back to your spot.
  48. >It stops directly behind her. You were starting to get good at that.
  49. Hey Pinkie.
  50. Pinkie: What is it now?
  51. Do you want to play a game?
  52. >Pinkie sits up, and looks at the tray.
  53. Pinkie: It better not be that story game.
  54. Don't worry, it's even funner than that.
  55. >Pinkie scoffs again.
  56. >You explain how thumb wrestling goes as she eats.
  57. Pinkie: Another hand holding game? No.
  58. How about we make it more interesting then?
  59. Pinkie: Like what?
  60. Each time I win, you have to.. say something nice about me.
  61. >Pinkie cringes.
  62. Pinkie: And what do I get?
  63. What do you want?
  64. >Pinkie grins. You know exactly what she wants.
  65. Fine. You can slap my hand every time you win.
  66. >Your hand still hasn't swelled back down, so you switch hands, hoping that she won't go as crazy.
  67. >You both lock hands, and you begin the chant.
  68. One, two, three, four, I declare a thumb war.
  69. >You both begin. You put your thumb down, hoping she takes the bait. She does, and at the last second, you slip away and land on top of her thumb.
  70. >She widens her eyes in surprise, and tries to yank her thumb out from underneath yours. She was using her entire body too.
  71. Jeez Pinkie, s-stop y-yanking..
  72. >You quickly count to ten, and win the round.
  73. Well? I'm waiting..
  74. >Pinkie looks like she wants to throw up. It was killing her on the inside.
  75. >She starts to say it through clenched teeth.
  76. Pinkie: You. Are. Very. Smart. Aanon.
  77. Why yes. I am aren't I?
  78. >Pinkie glares at you. You were going to have fun with this, as long as you kept winning.
  79. >You set up again, and begin.
  80. >Pinkie didn't fall for your dive this time, and pins you in seconds.
  81. >You don't even try to fight back. Pinkie had your thumb already turning purple.
  82. Pinkie: Onetwothreeforfivsixsevneightninten! I win!!
  83. >She puts her arm back, slaps your hand as hard as she could.
  84. >You immediately feel the pain shoot through your hand. So much for taking it easy.
  85. Ow!
  86. >You see her expecting a glare from you. Instead, you grin. She scowls, and prepares for the next round.
  87.
  88. >After about 50 or so rounds, your hand can't take any more. It was pretty even, although you think she may have won a few more than you.
  89. >So far, she's had to call you smart, funny, handsome, awesome, etc. You made sure to tell her how right she was every time.
  90. Okay Pinkie, I can't do anymore. My hand hurts too much.
  91. Pinkie: Oh cmon Aanon! This is fun!!
  92. >She was grinning again.
  93. No, I'm good. Why don't we call it a night?
  94. >There was actually no telling what time it was. The light was always the same in the room.
  95. Pinkie: But-
  96. Don't worry, we can do something tomorrow.
  97. >You get up. You both decided to sit down after a while.
  98. >Both of your hands have swelled up now, and the shackles weren't helping either. It was going to be hard to sleep tonight.
  99. >You start to walk away.
  100. Pinkie: Aanon wait!
  101. >You pause.
  102. I said I'm done. My hand hurts way to much.
  103. Pinkie: But if you win I'll.. I'll let you take off the cuffs.
  104. >She had you there. You think about it, and shake your head.
  105. Pinkie: What?! Why not?!
  106. Because, then it would be the same as me taking them off right now. I want to take them off because you want me to, not because you lost to a bet.
  107. Pinkie: But-
  108. Sorry Pinkie, but I'm not doing that.
  109. >You sit back in your spot.
  110. Pinkie: Then.. what do you want?
  111. >You think about it.
  112. Nah, because then you would have to raise the stakes of the bet on both sides. It would be uneven.
  113. Pinkie: No! We can keep it the same Aanon! I promise!
  114. >She promises? She must really want to keep playing.
  115. I don't think that I want anything Pinkie.
  116. Pinkie: How about.. I give you..
  117. Are you ok Pinkie? You look scared.
  118. >It was true. She was starting to tremble.
  119. Pinkie: I am not!
  120. >Wait a minute. She never slept much, unless she was really bored, and you sort of cured that.
  121. Are you.. afraid of going to sleep?
  122. Pinkie: N-no! Of course not!
  123. >She was lying.
  124. >But why would she have problems now? She always seemed to deal with it.
  125. >Pinkie was obviously distressed, but what could you do about it?
  126. It's okay to be scared Pinkie.
  127. Pinkie: I told you, I'm not scared!
  128. Okay then, I'll just go to sleep now.
  129. Pinkie: Wait! Can't we just.. talk?
  130. No, I'm good. Good night.
  131. >You turn over, and pretend to go to sleep. You can barely hear her whimper.
  132. >It was going to drive you nuts. There was no way you were sleeping.
  133. >What's her deal all of a sudden? She was okay until..
  134. >Your eyes widen.
  135. >Until she had slept next to you.
  136. >Why would that make a difference? Surely it is something else..
  137. >You hear her whimpering again. You have to do something.
  138. >Without saying anything, you get up, walk over to her, and lay down next to her. She had her back turned in the corner, and you see her shaking. She hears you, and turns her head to you. She smiles, but quickly turns it to a frown.
  139. Pinkie: What do you want?
  140. >You can hear the gratefullness in her voice.
  141. Do you mind if I stay here for a few minutes?
  142. Pinkie: Yes.
  143. Ok, I'll get up-
  144. Pinkie: B-but, I'll let it slide.
  145. >She turns her back on you, still shivering slightly.
  146. >Carefully, you put your hand on her shoulder.
  147. >She stops shuddering, and her breathing goes to normal.
  148. >Why is she suddenly afraid? What happened last night when you were asleep?
  149. >You were tired of not knowing things. It's been driving you nuts ever since you came here.
  150. >Pinkie turns over and hugs you, still asleep. Her head was now rested on your chest, her breathing going through your shirt and hitting your skin.
  151. >Uhoh. There was no way you could explain this to her.
  152. >Her breathing was calming, and her warmth was starting to make you drowsy..
  153. >No. You had to get out of this. If she woke up before you.. you would.. get.. in..
  154. >Fuck.
