Rhotweh Race

 The Rhotweh are a race of amphibian humanoids who come from the Roour Swamps and Marshlands. They have smooth, rubbery skin that comes in shades of green with varying degrees of bumpiness, large lips that come in every color but yellow, and eyes the size of their fists. The average height for a male is 5'7 and the average height for a female is 6'0, though the females are generally wider and more robust as well. Rhotwehs have webbed hands and feet for great swimming ability. Their skin is capable of absorbing air through water, giving them an indefinite amount of time they can spend underwater. They generally prefer to live on land, however. Their preferred climates are those that are humid or moist, and can enable them to get plenty of water. Temperatures above 90F with little moisture in the air, especially that of deserts, and freezing temperatures are doubly dangerous to Rhotwehs compared to other races. The Roour lands are not rich in valuable resources or oddities besides creatures native to the region. Immediately adjacent to them, however, are jungles that are the home of various lizardmen tribes. Lizardmen would often go to the Roour swamps to raid them and capture Rhotwehs to use as slaves, or worse, food. Many Rhotweh slaves would live out their lives in filthy slave pools in between backbreaking labor shifts. Rhotwehs are blessed with a gland in their gut which enables them to expectorate a thick slime which is capable of acting as a powerful adhesive when dried. This natural adhesive is capable of holding together stone given a proper bond and coverage, making them invaluable as laborers.

Age. Rhotwe are capable of living up to 70 years.
Alignment. Rhotwes live in clannish societies which have a political leader based on whoever has the most children through direct bloodline of the father. The spiritual leader is a shaman. Even when slaves, one will be appointed as a shaman to fulfil the role of a doctor and source of guidance. For these reasons, Rhotwes tend towards lawful and/or neutral.
Amphibious. You are capable of breathing air and water.
Slippery Skin. You have advantage on cheks for trying to escape Grapples.
Sticky Tongue. You have a tongue that can extend from your mouth at a range of 10 ft. You may use this to perform the Help action to distract an enemy from up to 10 feet away. This tongue is partially adhesive and may lift an item of up to five pounds, but not manipulate them precisely nor use them for an attack.
Gut Glue. Rhotwehs are capable of producing and expectorating an adhesive. At its thickest and once dried, it is capable of holding an object weighing up to 200 pounds on another surface capable of supporting it. If spread on the floor, it can be spread out in a circle with a diameter of 5 feet which, when first walked into, requires a DC 18 Strength(Athletics) check to be freed from.
