Follows a group of six teenagers in the Marvel universe - Nico Minoru, Karolina Dean, Molly Hernandez, Chase Stein, Alex Wilder, and Gertrude Yorkes - who discover that their parents are secretly members of a super-villain cabal called The Pride. After deciding they're no longer safe in their own homes, the kids go on the run. In the midst of hiding from their elders, the teens learn about themselves and become a family of their own.
After discovering their parents are super-villains in disguise, a group of teenagers band together to run away from their homes in order to atone for their parents' actions and to discover the secrets of their origins.
Okay, I honestly love how the writers are connecting the nerdy chubby girl Gert and the school jock Chase. I really do. It&#39;s not your typical TV romance. I mean as of now, Chase seems to be interested in Karolina but who knows, maybe he will fold someday and start to like Gert.<br/><br/>But honestly, I wish Gert can be really annoying sometimes. Yeah, sure, Gert can be jealous because Chase broke his promise to study Spanish with her, supposedly to see Karolina, but god, don&#39;t cut off every conversation Chase has with Karolina. And for god&#39;s sake, don&#39;t make Gert use circumstances to manipulate and force Chase into spending time with her. Like Spanish lessons may understandable but Gert uses all the excuses she can so he will spend time with her. What does that communicate to the viewers? Gert can&#39;t be confident enough to win him over without all the manipulation? If the writers are going for romance between Gert and Chase, they better think serious about Gert&#39;s character development, because she is just not lovable, not because of her physical appearance, but the way she is so desperate to win Chase over. Let Gert&#39;s character be charming and confident with her intelligence, someone that Chase can fall for. My god, it is annoying me to my guts how they are portraying Gert. <br/><br/>Storywise, I haven&#39;t read the comics, so I am just riding it out to see how they are going to play out the entire plot with so many characters. But I don&#39;t find the story line that bad.
I won&#39;t lie to you, I wanted to hold off a few more episodes to see what good potential this show had and Its ruined somewhere after the 4th-5th episode. The show has a great premise and it keeps you on the edge for a few episodes. Then all of a sudden, you just stop caring. They never do anything towards their problems, hardly anything gets resolved, everything goes at a snail pace, and all their problems become non-problem problems. <br/><br/>Take all of this and sprinkle in off-putting humor and awkwardness swirled in with some crocodile tear sad scenes that make you realize the milk spoiled 5 episodes ago. With a liberal agenda cherry on top to complete this Banana Sh(i)t.

The much anticipated film adaptation of Marvel Comics &#39;Runaways&#39; is now in the pre-production stages and auditions for the project&#39;s stars is underway.
