- MHXX Style Differences for Greatsword
- Guild - Base
- Striker
- - Loses Strong Charge & Strong Swipe
- - Trying to do one after a Side Slap just does a normal Charge
- - Trying to do one as the 2nd A attack will do nothing
- Aerial
- - Unsheathing Jumping Slash (Forward-X while sheathed)
- - Loses several moves
- - Charge
- - Strong Charge & Strong Swipe
- - Side Slap after a kick (Can still Side Slap after an overhead slash and forward roll)
- - When jumping off of a monster/teammate:
- - Hold X to start an Aerial Charge
- - Has 3 levels which charge very quickly
- - Automatically releases when you reach the ground
- - Does not overcharge
- - Can combo into Strong Swipe (X or A)
- Adept
- - Strong Charge & Strong Swipe only through adept evade
- - After a successful Adept Evade:
- - Press X to do a Dashing Upswing (Chargable as of MHXX)
- - Press and hold X to do a fast-charging Strong Charge
- - Press X a third time (or A) to do a Strong Swipe
- Brave
- - Press Y has new Brave Sheathe
- - Hold down Y to stay in brave stance (drains stamina)
- - X for normal Charge attack
- - A for Side Slash
- - Outside Brave Mode
- - No Draw Charge, Strong Charge, or Strong Swipe
- - Can't combo normally after Side Slash
- - In Brave Mode
- - Draw attack is fast-charging Strong Charge
- - Gain side step evades that can be chained together
- - Can Side Slap after evades (1st A attack after evades to the side only)
- - X with weapon out goes into blue strong charge
- - Combos into blue strong swipe which can combo into Side Slash
- - If you press A instead of releasing X, you can lunge forward with the strong charge attack
- Alchemy
- - No Strong Charge
- - A+A for Side Slash into Strong Swipe (probably only as strong as lv 1 version)
