Perfection of Mana Overcast

After his recent battle with a Kaor, it would seem as if Kyrian had became capable of using the ability of which he had found out. But he was still clueless about naming.

He had used it for such a long period of time and still had it activated, and his body was causing him no stress. It was just the matter of time for this to work as he always used it for simple needs.

' I guess my body has gotten used to it. . . It's becoming easier and easier to use. . . . and my body isn't aching like how it usually does. . . . huh. . .'

He kept on trying to figure out ways to explain how the ability wouldn't stress him out anymore. But he came to conclusion that it was just simply his body getting used to it as he stared at his make-shift leg, It was always weird to walk with it as he limped about on it.

Walking by one of the many Ookami dens. Kyrian would hear a noise from within. Causing his attention to divert and take a peak inside. But instead of seeing a home of Ookami's. It was just merely a human.

" Ehh. . . . What are you doing in one's den?" he said out loud as me walked inside.

In the background walked quite a few random npc's that were also stationed here with Hilgar, he was far from alone in the cave, prior to contrary belief. In the cave was strung up a faction banner of the Taldaran Republic, and it would seem a few large crates had also been moved in with the faction. Hilgar would look to the boy and cock an eyebrow

"Most of the Ookami packs left the wilds and became members of society decades ago, theres plenty of abandoned ookami caves in the forest, such as this one. Members of the Illusionaries and the Taldaran Legion are stationed here"

"And even if we weren't, I lived here for a good five or so years over a decade ago. So it'd be my den anyway. The names Hilgar Hydranus, defeater of a mighty Hydra. Also an inventor, Rune writer, and Blacksmith."

Kyrian's heart dropped. The Ookami's had left the wilds to become memebers of society? When did this happen? What was going on?

Illusionaries and Taladran? What were those groups? Cults

Furious enough Kyrian would take a step farther and stare at him with a new found hate.

"What do you mean. . . . . the Ookami packs left the wilds. . . . That would never happen . . . . what did you do . . ." he growled out as he dared to take another step. Causing each of the legionaires behind Hilgar to turn and now focus on him.

Kyrian's tone was aggressive and showed no signs of backing down as a siutation had brought itself about. Was this why he saw little to none Ookami's around these parts? What was this? There was little to no reason why the Ookami would just get up and leave. . . . There was just no way.

"and I better like your answer. . . ." he sad lowly

 Hilgar would roll his eyes at the ookami, he was pretty damn annoying. 'The Taldaran Legion and the Illusionaries are stationed here. The Taldaran Legion being whats left of the city that used to be in the desert before Nostvale destroyed our homes, and the Illusionaries being a group led by Cyano Conablum, we've been here for about two or three years now, so its a little late to be throwing a tantrum about it now"

"Not to mention, ookami packs started going into society decades ago, like before I was born, and long before you were born, so again, a little late to be throwing a tantrum about it now"

"And don't try to threaten me kid, I'm not putting up with it. I'm here to fight the good fight against the douchebags who deserve it, the east. This particular cave has been abandoned for like thirty years, longer than you've been alive, if you belonged to an ookami pack, chances are they used a differant cave, theres like fifty of them in these forests"

"And besides, I didn't say that all of the ookami went into society, but most of them did, ookami packs are mostly not a thing anymore, save for a few of them that spring up every now and then"

"So, are you gonna get needlessly aggressive and attack someone who's not your enemy, or are you gonna calm down, sit down, and talk this over like a rational thinking person. Cause if you attack me, I'm gonna have no choice but to get the others around here to help me restrain you"

"A little tantrum? How is it little when you just went up and lied to me. Then ontop of that acting like its nothing?! That your home was destroyed so you kicked my kin out to steal there home?!" he roared back in a rebellious tone.

He was done with this. He was done with all of it. Each time that something great came to him. Something bringing his hopes up to see that there was a brighter future. Someone would always shut him down.

Him being captured in Nostvale and being tortured. He thought his kin were alteast not suffering the same as he had. But it turns out that he was wrong. . . They were suffering just as much as he was or more!

With a laugh, Kyrian replied "You sure. . . because decades ago. I was born in these dens! and there were many more of my kin out in about"

But Kyrian didn't understand how he meant that they had only captured this specific den. He thought that he taken over all of the dens. Forcing his kin into society.

Kyrian would then take in the rest that the man would say. Causing him to pace back and forth.

When the legionaire stopped. So would he. Depravity would spread from him as he stared the man down.

"You think that just because you have a status and ranking. You could just talk to me like that? Then you don't want me to sit down? Who do you think you are ordering me around? And to top it all off. Why not fight me by yourself. . . ?" Kyrian would say as he marched over towards the fellow sitting down.

He didn't like to be ordered around, and he surely had something to say towards Cyano after this bout

He would look at Kyrian and then stand up. "Alright fucktard, shut your cockholster and open your ears for once you god damned arrogant piece of festering failure, we didn't steal this cave from your do nothing people, it was abandoned by the time we got here, hell, it was abandoned when I lived here over a decade ago, so how about you use that rarely used fucking brain of yours and put some thought into it."

"Why exactly would a faction force a group into society instead of butchering them? Which by the way, NEITHER OF THOSE OPTIONS WERE THINGS WE COULD DO CONSIDERING MOST OF OUR PEOPLE DIED WHEN THE ISCA FELL YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!" He'd slam a fist into the table

"Usually I'd ask if you were dropped on your head as a child, but with your lack of thinking ability, I have to ask, were you thrown at a fucking wall as a child? Because I'm hard pressed to remember meeting someone so needlessly angry and stupid such as yourself."

"Guess what buddy, if you walk into a cave thats clearly being used by someone else, and the people inside say that when they got here it was abandoned for years, but you remember growing up in a cave thats not abandoned, then hm, could it be magic at work? Oh wait, no, you probably just have THE WRONG FUCKING CAVE!"

"We didn't kick your kin out of there fucking homes, but honestly, if we had met them and they behaved like you did, fuck man I'd be tempted to, because I am so fucking sick of meeting people like you"

"Do you think your original? This whole righteous fury your going with? Grow a fucking personality that hasn't been done to death. Our people are greatly low in number right now, our leader is fucking dead, and we've been having to resort to begging in some cases just to make money for food"

"So if you want to come to me and get all pissed off and in my face about how your pissed we took over ONE! Abandoned cave, when about a century ago it belonged to your people, and you wanna get all up in my face about how we're monsters because we're trying to survive in the onset of a new plague, and the upcoming takeover from the east?"

"Well son, I'm usually not one to get violent, but if your gonna get up in my face right now like you are, I'm gonna have to ask you to step down, before I get violent. The Hilgar that was just willing to put up with douchebags and assholes is gone"

"I'd not fight you by myself because your not worth my time to fight by myself, and I'm not a man of status and ranking, I'm a fairly basic soldier, but I'm commited to the job I've been given, to fight back against Nostvale and invent shit for the people who are in the trenches along with me. And if you think I'm gonna sit by while some snot nosed little nobody walks in here and tries to puff his chest out and act tough?"

"Well then your going to be in for quite the surprise boy. So. Are you going to cut the bullshit and listen, and act like a mature adult, or continue to freak out about shit you don't understand because not once have you had the brain power to just be calm and ask questions like a normal person."

Kyrian would sit there and take his insults. Had this man snapped so easily? It didn't take long for him to figure that out as it seemed he was out of breath from how many times he had to yell only to lower his voice to aim back strong again. This infuriated Kyrian as much as it pleased him.

It would be a thrilling battle indeed. There wasn't going back after all that mockry.

"Your leader is dead no? I'll be sure to tell my mentor Cyano that a dog of the legion will be soon joining their dead leader. Tell em' I said hi" he said with a casual like tone.

He would soon raise his arm out towards the legionaire and strike out with his mana before chasing the lad down

Hilgar was nearing forty, he was far from being a lad. But whatever, he would look to Kyrian and cock an eyebrow. "Right, your gonna kill me? Cool, Cyano's probably going to execute you if you do that, just informing you. Considering I'm her chief blacksmith, and really the only one at the moment who can supply her guild with neat shit, so you kill me, your fucking over your mentor. Boy aren't you a great student."

"Right, since unlike you I'm not a pyshcopath, I'm not gonna kill you since unlike you, I actually care about pissing off a teammember, aka Cyano. So I'll likely just restrain you. Though that does raise the question as to what to do with you afterwards. I'm not going to kill you of course, that would be wrong, and I don't want that blood on my hands, but if I let you go all tell tale signs of story progression indicate it'll end with you trying to kill me again."

"Right, I'll figure something out once your restrained. But hey, worry not, won't kill you. Just gonna hurt you, really, really bad. Or not, maybe I'll just knock you out. Though I will have to ask Cyano not to recruit you. I'm sure you hate the east as much as the next guy, but if your willing to kill fellow resistance members? Yeah I can't tolerate that. You'll doom us quickly."

"I'll figure something out. Eventually." He'd sigh. "This is why any form of resistance will fail against the east. No matter how unified we are, there will always be some scumbag either in the group or close to joining the group, thats just a bit to willing to get violent, not willing to think things over first, dooming the rest of us."

He'd call forth some more Legionairres to his side and he spoke with a dull and unamused tone. "No fatal attacks, aim to restrain."

Hilgar would fight with all his might, and well, heres why you don't piss off Ookami I guess. He would spit up a bit of blood, the guy got quite a few good hits in against the large drakanite, and his teammates. But the first round still belonged to Hilgar. Once he and his teammates could stand up and he could swing his arms properly again, he'd look to Kyrian and cock an eyebrow underneath the helmet.

"Well. Its good to see she's at least recruiting those who are strong. Once this fight is done I will be restraining you, and then we can talk like civilized adults, after we're done talking I will untie you. But, as per fights in this crazy crazy world, it would seem we're sitll going off a round system, so stand and take up arms, round two is fast approaching"

He'd look to the three Legionairres standing with him and go to speak briefly. "Hey guys, if you guys could do me a favor and get your heads in the game, yeah that'd be great. Steve I'm pretty sure I saw you stop and take a drink of water during the fight, no wonder he kicked your asses. Heads in the game people, he's stronger than he looks"

Now back to the Ookami. "So, round two here we come. Did Cyano give any particular reasoning behind recruiting you? or was it just a spur of the moment thing, we should really have a recruit screening process so we know who to recruit and who not to."

Yeah yeah yeah" Kyrian would say as he spat out blood.

"Less talking, more fighting. . . . Rah!!!!" he roared out

 It hadn't seem like luck wasn't on Kyrian's side. So he had to stick to tatics.

It took a while to see how the legionaires fight. But in time. He did, and with that knowledge. He wasn't afraid of using brute force against them as he hammered away at them with his cane. Quickly finishing off the potty-mouths friends before aiming towards Hilgar.

He would then reach out and attempt to strike Hilgar. Instead the man would back step to avoid his attack. Which was only his down fall as Kyrian extended his mana to benefit him and stike Hilgar true in his abdomen. The wound wasn't deep but it had penetrated his armor to show skin.

"Hows that for a dog?" he said with a smirk before charging at him again

 Hilgar took the hits and would fall back, perhaps he wouldn't win this fight. He'd go to speak. "We didn't take over every cave, we took over this one abandoned one, I'm the chief inventor for Cyano Conablum, your mentor, the people stationed here also work for her, the east is taking over the country soon, we're going to fight them back, we're using this as a basecamp, at no point did we force anyone out of here, hell, I don't see why you would even think that, when we got here the cave was dark, dusty, and abandoned for years."

"You kill me, your gonna screw over your mentors plans and help her fail, you kick us out of the cave, well, might as well just send your mentor in chains to the east, because you'll be kicking out her forces, you'll be spitting in her face"

"So yeah, act tough in betraying one of your friends." He'd look to the guards. "Aim to restrain, but pay him back for damaging my armour." He'd nod and then dawn his sword, ready to do combat against the ookami once more

"And don't call yourself a dog, would be like me calling myself a lizard, just odd."

As the fight went on. The surrounding areas was burnning in blazes as the Legion versus Kyrian kept on going on strong.

But it wouldn't be long until Kyrian had swept the floors with the remaining legionaire to just leave him and Hilgar alone. It wouldn't take long for the two to have another stand off as it was now just the two of them.

Which made Kyrian laugh manically.

Depravity now hung in the air heavily as his presence was sending shots out into the atmosphere with each passing seconds. It would be harder for those who weren't depraved to breath.

"Huh. . . You work for Cyano . . . . Interesting. . . . But I kind of knew that already. . . anyway. . . But to maintain your loyalty. I'll just take a liver. . . How about that. . . Saekanis does need something to feast on!" he said with a sadistic smile

The two would then go at it more. Battling to all they got. Kyrian was morally wounded as he couldnt take the intense heat but it had seemed that Hilgar couldn't take his hits. Before he knew it.

Both of them would be down and out.

Breathing heavily. Kyrian would say.

"Your something else. . . you know that. . . "

He would summon Ancestral Wrath to blow out the surrounding flames that threatened to destroy any materials worth using nearby.

Slowly pushing himself to a stand.

He would notice that his leg was still there. He had perfected it! He was joyous with a smile to be know.

He would then stand over the Legionaire and say as he panted heavily. "Your lucky that I'm in a good mood today. . . . therefore. . . " You wont suffer today. . . .

And with that Kyrian would turn tail and head towards the doorway to stop at the exit.

"Ooh. . . Names Kyrian by the way. . Kyrian Hayes. You be sure to remember that name if you plan on getting revenge. . . " he said as he began to leave to only stop once more.

"Ooh. . . . I forgot. Thanks for the fun. . . Lizard. . . I think I will call you that now" he said with a laugh before waving behind his back with one hand as he walked out injured.

But he was sure this wasn't the last that he was going to see of the group

Hilgar would quip his own comebacks while they fought, "Take my liver? Kid twenty years of hard alcoholism beat you to it" He'd do a twist, strike his sword into the kids side, didn't hit hard enough to pierce, the fight lasted quite a bit. "Indeed, I truly am something. something you shouldn't fuck with"

"People should call me Explosive, because I'm unstable" He'd duck to avoid an incoming hit before he saw ancestral wrath activate and he kicked it up a notch, they continued to trade blows before eventually Hilgar went down.

He heard the insults being tossed his way and Hilgar would only snarl as he stumbled to his feet. "Lizard? No, if you are to refer to me by any other name you will know me as a Hydra, for I will always bounce back from the hits you deal, and I am leagues above a lizard. Though insult me if you wish, I hold no ill will towards that name, I am not exactly very close to my people."

He would narrow his eyes as the ookami left, was a good fight though, was not something he expected to happen today. From the pain he could feel along the length of his body, the drakanite would merely sigh, perhaps it was a sign that he needed to finish that armour.
