The New Neighborhood

 John Kastus had lived in his neighborhood since he was born and grew up in this town. Lately he has been spending his time by isolating himself from the internet and all other forms of media and never going outside. Before this, he stored up a years worth of food and water so he could survive and he had paid off everything that he needed to and if it was necessary, he would get up to pay for any extra bills but he was sure they had all been checked.. After the year was over, he figured he'd integrate himself back into society.

John got up out of bed and opened up the shades of the front window that had been closed for a year, it didn't look like what it used to be. The skies were orange and strange, fleshy plants grew. After all, it'd been a year so things may be different. Before he could step away from the window, he noticed a large figure moving down the street. He could make out huge muscles on the thing and it stopped and sniffed the air. He pulled down the shades and ran upstairs. Hopefully the thing hadn't seen or smelt him, there were no cars on the street either. "It must be a holiday" he though to himself, but he wasn't sure of that.

 John made his way upstairs and into the attic. There, he looked out the one way glass window he had installed a long time ago and looked out. Many houses were destroyed and the strange creatures roamed throughout the streets. Amidst the crowd of the muscular beings, he noticed some more slender ones. John looked closer and saw that the creatures all looked like humanoid animals! "What happened while I was gone!" he said out loud. John went into his basement and got into the elevator that went down to his armory. Once he was 200 meters down, he got out and went over to his suit. This suit was very powerful and enabled the wearer to be flexible and swift without losing any strength. He put on the suit and went over to the weapons rack which held 2 powerful and treasured rip laser pistols. In such outlying OTAFA controlled worlds, powerful technology like this was rare. He got up and went upstairs to prepare for battle.

 John remembered that just before his isolation period he saw on the local news that a furry invasion fleet was approaching from an extragalactic source but the sector OTAFA primarch didn't care about this low population world and they needed a trap for the furries and would possibly use it as a global testing zone because the invading furries were a different strain than normal and seemed to have been an ancient small separatist group who broke off and flew to a region between 2 galaxies and settled there and eventually evolved into what they had become now. The news host said that the world was doomed even though these furries were exceptionally weaker than the normal strain ones in most invading fleets. There have been countless reports on those kinds of furries and they were too disturbing and scary for John to think about, but rip lasers were usually used to combat them and John felt very safe as he walked outside.

 As soon as he stepped out 5 wolves jumped after them with their teeth bared. He shot all of them down and ran into the street where 3 vixen extended their claws and raced after him. He shot each one in the chest and the guns made very strange sounds while vaporizing them. He managed to get through most of the furries in the streets and made his way to a large fortress in the middle of the town. Just then, he was onslaughted by millions of furries from every single house and possible hiding spot. He shot and shot, but the pistols weren't enough and he was killed in an instant.
