  2. | starting leaderboards for games he doesn't play and not maintaining them on speedrun.com

  4. The biggest crime of this entire thread.

  8. I started a leaderboard for Lament of Innocence with the intent of maintaining it until I found someone better equipped for the job to do that on my behalf, in which case I'd abandon the board. What in fact happened was I ended up modding the known WR holder and we were going to start collaborating when another prospective moderator complained to a SR.com site admin about me due to envy over not being a mod on that board. He got me kicked and took my place. The end result was that two people who play the game ended up as mods. Works for me.

  20. If they wanted a board they would make one, you dont have to. Neither should you.

  24. Current moderator KomradeKontrol didn't have runs done or posted on the other board until after I made this board on SR.com. After he grabbed the mod spot, he went in on Lament and there's plenty of new runs now. New boards inspire new runners. That's a fact.

  28. I dunno. Personally, I get inspired when boards or runs don't exist. I got people interested in Stronghold Crusader (which had no full game run attempts at the time) and Scarface (someone attempted a run on Twitch but gave up) from just running the games and posting them on here and Youtube. That does a lot more than an empty board will by just existing. Be the pioneer and change you want to see.

  32. Different things inspire different people. To deny that would be silly and you're proof of someone being inspired by something other than what I've claimed is inspirational. Also, the Lament board was never going to be empty. There was an established WR holder whom I was in contact with the whole time. His run was the first one to be submitted and it was almost immediately after the board was made.

  36. Not everyone wants their runs featured on a board. The people who run the game should moderate it.

  40. I agree 100%, hence why I modded the WR holder for the game.
