Right im making this thread so we can all come with suggestions on the theme for CyberpunkRP. It must be a Dystopian setting that gives people the generall idea and story but does not restrict too much.



World


Earth the green planet, or atleast it used to be untill people in their big coporations and companies took to extracting as much resources they can. The enviroment and the eco system is not exactly what you have in mind when the only green you want to see is bills. Industrial waste and pollution have done irreversable damage. The ozone layer is thinner than ever. Sunshine isnt such a good thing anymore when the uv rays burns your skin. Not that sunshine bothers the people in the cities. Who most likely have never seen it trought the industrial smog hanging over the city.. Even the wheater have become dangerous. Storms and hurricanes appear more frequent than ever before. The rain having gotten such a low ph due to the pollution that it is practically acid. The increase in naturcal cathastrophes like earthquakes also deserves a mention. Needless to say the area around the industrial cities have turned into barren wasteland where near nothing grows, and the only life is outcasts and mutants.


The city


San Angeles, the super city made out of the merging of Los Angeles and San Diego. City of the future, or atleast thats what the commercials will say about it. A supercity with 25 million inhabitants. Mile after mile with gray iron and colorfull neon. A dystopian nightmare/Dream. All after who you ask. With everything the body should wish for and nothing the soul needed. Here the peole of San Angeles thrieve. Or atleast those who got money do. Thr est do all they can to aquire money. This makes a pretty clear seperation between the rich corporation executives and directors and the poor. Many people have forsaken working their way up the honest way. Rather looking for a quick and big amount of cash Gangs and crime blossoms. Street wars in the poorer districts being nothing new. Welcome to San Angeles, city of the future.



Technology


Technology have expanded at a incredible rate in near all fields.
Medicine, cybernetics, Genemanipulations, entertainment products, weaponary and transportation.
Genetics have removed the uncertainity of genes. Today all who can afford it Can get their children tailored. Such tailored humans being smarter, healthier and stronger than the "Pure" humans. This have split humanity between those who can afford auguments and gene manipulations from those who cant. Those who cant often falling behind those who can. Some poor have taken to shady offers. And become guienapigs for untested aguments, or a misunderstood genius "Revelutionary invention" These failed experiments or operations. Walk around deformed and are no longer classified as humans. They have become mutants, shunned by near all who live in the city. (Dont know about weaponary) (Entertainment im sure is like holograms)
