  5. tirkaroKujo:
  6. last time, last time...
  7. Thrice:
  8. Drunken karaoke is all I remember

  10. Yeah more or less

  18. tirkaroKujo:
  19. So Marona takes you to go for an amazing (?) night of slighty inebriated good times at the only real bar around of worth
  20. Thrice:
  21. well at least I don't have to work
  22. tirkaroKujo:
  23. You arrive sort of late, mostly due to some traffic difficulties around the area, but eventually you make a stop back, as you both sorta recover from your injuries.
  24. Thrice:
  25. Stop back where...?
  26. tirkaroKujo:
  27. The bar itself isn't -as- well packed as it usually is, but it (I've been referring to A Hard Place all this time btw)'s reasonable enough. Marona herself gathers a few hard drinks at the stand, and welcomes you to sit right by her at a table far-removed from the crowd
  28.
  29. Alloces:
  30. 'Surreal. I can't recall a night out in months, and yet here I am with one of my worst enemies.' Al shakes his head at the uncanny turnout, but joins Marona at the table nonetheless, with his own drinks. "Don't like the crowd?"
  31.
  32. Marona:
  33. "Kuuuu..." She chuckles to herself, shifting around her eyes with a helter-skelter glaze on her face upon opening her lids. "I don't like large groups of people, no, but I subject myself to them on a constant basis. What does that make me, may I ask?"
  34.
  35. Alloces:
  36. Al taps his chin, thinking, "A strange question, to be sure. What does it make you? Shy? Cautious? Paranoid? It could go many ways, but I would need to get to know you better to say for sure... Myself, I prefer to know as many people as I can. But crowds provide too many distractions for others to get caught up in. I suppose we share something, in a sense."
  37.
  38. Marona:
  39. The woman takes a short sip of her drink, as the crowd in the background begins to gradually calm down. "I appreciate the connection, but I can't say for sure. I guess it's...unnerving. It could have implanted itself in me when I reached a certain age. An age where I, as a person, began to realize that everyone talks for a reason. There are so many things going on around me in a crowd, and ultimately, all it does is remind me that whatever 'reason' you have to talk in the first place is ultimately pointless and inconsequential. Like they're all trying to stomp me out." She takes a longer swig of her drink.
  40.
  41. Marona:
  42. "When I'm alone though, I'm the center of my own universe. Everything matters so much more. Wouldn't you agree?"
  43.
  44. Alloces:
  45. Al swirls his scotch around, "Yes, people do have loud voices. Everyone wants others to hear what they have to say, and they'll talk over the entire room to have their way. But I like the company of other people...and so, I simply strive to have the loudest voice. The center of the universe, to me, matters only if the universe is filled in the first place."
  46.
  47. Alloces:
  48. "At the same time, those in the corner don't have to listen to me speak! If that is what they want, who am I to deny them their peace?"
  49.
  50. Marona:
  51. Marona rubs her cheek, mildly amused. "That's a nice philosophy you got there. I respect that. I really do. It's the kind I strive to follow every day." She glares deep into her glass. "After all, it's common knowledge that the world doesn't revolve around you. What is a bit crushing, though, is realizing that there are people who it does revolve around."
  52.
  53. Marona:
  54. "Of course, in this situation, there are no natural centers. No, only black holes. Black holes that absorb and vaccuum up everything around it, tearing them to shreds, sending them rocketing god knows where...I want to be a black hole."
  55.
  56. Alloces:
  57. "I won't pretend I'm one of those individuals as of yet...but," Al smacks his fist into his open palm, "A large enough impact could shift the rotation of the entire world! Maybe even for the better! If the universe is filled with black holes, all one must do is introduce a metaphorical white hole."
  58.
  59. Alloces:
  60. "After all, everything those black holes absorb must go somewhere. To be surrounded by everything, without ridding myself of it...that is my goal."
  61.
  62. Marona:
  63. The woman's gaze turns blank, a short beat before she exhales a childish laugh. She calms herself by fanning her face, and asks "Tell me then, how do you plan on becoming one of these hypothetical white holes then?"
  64.
  65. Alloces:
  66. "I'll gather up everything the black holes throw away! They may not need it...but eventually, they will want it. But by then, well, not many will return to someone who drew them in, ripped them to pieces, and tossed them out of sight and mind."
  67.
  68. Alloces:
  69. "Acquiring allies and connections, good relationships...if one were in a particularly symbolic mood, they could call it...vocal training."
  70.
  71. Marona:
  72. "Heeeh..." She begins tapping on her glass. "That's one way of seeing it. Not quite the way I did it, but in consequence, I'm here right now, far ahead any point I expected to land on. It's funny. Others have accused me of being like a politician, while others claim I'm just an anarchist daughter of a bitch. Seems I landed closer to the former space."
  73.
  74. Marona:
  75. She snaps out of a brief trance, and takes a longer gulp of her drink, far more than anyone should ever take at one time. "Tell me, would I make a good politician?"
  76.
  77. Alloces:
  78. "Politician? Perhaps one unobsessed with public image would be nice for a change. Nevertheless, it is a difficult inquiry." Al grins after downing a swig of his liquor, "Do you mean a politician truly worthy of their seat above the public, or one closer to the norm; a laudable liar?"
  79.
  80. Alloces:
  81. simply a*
  82.
  83. Marona:
  84. "Worthy of their seat? The norm? I didn't ask any of those" she chuckles. "I just want to be a good politician. A great one, even. I'm inclined to reserve all judgements about those before me."
  85.
  86. Alloces:
  87. "I suppose that would depend on one's opinion of the average politician. Do they perform their jobs well? If so, being like them would be good. If not, then clearly your aim would be as far off that mark as possible. There's always more than one target on the archery range. One can choose which bullseye they aim for! As for you yourself, I think it would be best if a politician served no one person. Being in the pocket of another isn't the way to push your own ideals on the world."
  88.
  89. Marona:
  90. "Still, if I haaaad to choose one..." She rests her cheek on the open palm of her hand, staring at the rusted ceiling of the bar. "The norm. Not because I want to be lauded, but just because deception might be my greatest skill of all. Deception is as flexible as you want it to be. Try and be yourself, and you end up invariable in an ever-changing world. That's what I've learned anyway."
  91.
  92. Marona:
  93. "All things considered, the only difference between a kind man and a man pretending to be kind is only a few months time. That's pretty amazing, wouldn't you say?"
  94.
  95. Alloces:
  96. "I suppose so. But I prefer to see through the deception of others, rather than create my own. I won't say I never partake in the latter, but I back it up with other areas of expertise. And, if I am to build relationships and allies, I would prefer them to last more than a year."
  97.
  98. Alloces:
  99. "I need to think in the long-term, after all!" Al finishes his drink, and orders another.
  100.
  101. Marona:
  102. "More than a year, huh..." She looks back on the tumultuous crowd, drink in hand. "I can see that. You sound like you'd make a good politician."
  103.
  104. Marona:
  105. "However, there's a key difference between a good and a great politician. You can find a good politician. A great politician, however, finds you." She takes one last remaining gulp of her clear drink.
  106. Marona: (( speaking of the devil, a man parts through the crowd, supposedly after taking a glimpse of you're face in the corner ))
  107.
  108. Alloces:
  109. "Chances are I might, but I've no such ambitions. I care not about aiding the public...only those I've taken a liking to!"
  110. Alloces: (( my are face eh ))
  111. Marona: (( youuuuur ))
  112.
  113. Zacky:
  114. "Eeeeeey! Al my hombre with the big caljones! Long time no see!" He bursts through, a slightly drunken smile radiating off his sharp face.
  115.
  116. Zacky:
  117. "Why, I remember that time you broke my -favorite- left rib like it was just yesterday! No hard feelings though, right?"
  118. Alloces: (( back sorta but also brb again ))
  119. Alloces: (( just a tad afk atm ))
  120. Alloces: (( acronyms ))
  121. Alloces: (( the hell are caljones ))
  122. Alloces: (( are those like calzones ))
  123. Zacky: (( it's a corruption of "cojones" with "calzones" ))
  124. Zacky: (( basically swear-fudging in spanish ))
  125.
  126. Alloces:
  127. Al waves over to the new arrival, "No, no, of course not! A fight is a fight, hm? I see you're enjoying yourself."
  128.
  129. Alloces:
  130. "Though I suppose that's a given, considering the location? Oh, have you met Marona? Marona, this is Zack."
  131.
  132. Zacky:
  133. Zacky scans his wobbly eyes around the expanse of the corner, soon focusing in on Marona, who's sort of left awkwardly handling her empty drink. "Well well well, I didn't take you as the kinda guy to go on a smokin' hot date this time of year. Sure looks like the kind of chick you'd take home though. Just don't slay her -too- hard, aight?"
  134.
  135. Marona:
  136. Marona's eyebrow twitches. "I'm getting another drink."
  137.
  138. Alloces:
  139. Al chuckles to himself, and tries to wave Marona back over; "Oh, don't mind him! He's always this way. Of course, he's not usually this talkative after a nice match on the rooftop, are you, Zack?"
  140.
  141. Zacky:
  142. Zack puffs his cheeks in. "Nah, I still have fond memories of that wonderful sonnet about punctured lungs I sang so heartily. Still have it written down in my wallet."
  143.
  144. Marona:
  145. The woman returns to the table, calmed by the sight of a cup filled to the brim with one of the bar's fancy trademarked martinis. "Have a feeling I'm gonna need every last drop."
  146.
  147. Zacky:
  148. "Ah, but those are fond memories I have no intention of reliving today. I got a family after all." He checks his watch for a moment
  149.
  150. Alloces:
  151. "Well, it's a delight to have become such a...fountain of inspiration for one such as yourself. And you seem to have found a different sort of fountain, hm?" Al turns his attention to Zacky for a second, "A family, and a job. How are the children, Zack? I believe I may know one or two who attend that school."
  152. Alloces: (( the uh, first line was directed at Zack ))
  153. Alloces: (( then the second at Marona (waiting) ))
  154. Zacky: (( I figured ))
  155.
  156. Zacky:
  157. "Ah, they grow up so fast, don't they? One moment you're teaching them about the war of the sixth coalition, the next they're already up to the austrian succession! Uh, not neccesarily in that order."
  158.
  159. Zacky:
  160. "Speaking of kids, sweet lil' Daisy turned one a few months ago! Here's her birthday party~" He holds of a fold-out album of his daughter's birthday at a non-specific sword fighting dinner-theatre. "At this rate, she'll be my own little Jeanne D'Arc! Well, y'know, hopefully with less burning to death."
  161.
  162. Alloces:
  163. "I can only hope that they listen. Too often do children forego history, only to repeat its mistakes later in life!" Al looks over the photo album, "She certainly seems spirited, doesn't she? Perhaps she'll opt for battle instead of support! As long as you're there, however, she shouldn't need to worry about any, ah, burning."
  164.
  165. Marona:
  166. Marona breaks her relative silence "Huh, speaking of burning....I think this drink may just be a bit too strong for me. Didn't think it was possible."
  167.
  168. Zacky:
  169. "Ooooh, right, totally forgot, probably shouldn't be too big of a third wheel here. It's good to have met you again and all, but I think I gotta get going. It's like, half past nine anyway. Not sure if I gave Shelly the note that I'd be away tonight....but what can you do!"
  170.
  171. Alloces:
  172. "Oh? Are you all right?" Al glances at Zacky for a second before turning his attention back to Marona, "Oh, a shame, for sure. Tell the family hello for me!"
  173.
  174. Alloces:
  175. Back to business, "Still, you've had stronger drinks tonight than most people ever order! I'm no slouch myself, but I prefer to take things more slowly..."
  176.
  177. Zacky:
  178. "Oh you bet Date Masamune's crescent I will! Even if it might get me in some trouble with the wifey, but eeeeeh, I'll live." The Zack man walks on back into the crowd and soon out of the building, hands in his pockets, pondering what to do with the last few hours of the weekend left.
  179.
  180. Marona:
  181. "Maybe 'strong' isn't the right word for it. Sharp, perhaps? It's strange...not really to my taste."
  182. Marona: (( soon the crowd begins to quiet down even more, a few exiting the building. Soothing jazz music plays throughout the speakers lining the walls ))
  183.
  184. Alloces:
  185. "...get him in trou--is my reputation truly that awful? Er, anyway, perhaps you should order a different drink? Leave that one alone, there's no sense in drinking what you don't like. Well, I might finish it if you won't!"
  186.
  187. Marona:
  188. "Hmm...y'know, maybe I've just about had enough to drink. Could do with just looking out the window. Out into the world...is that not intoxicating enough?"
  189.
  190. Marona:
  191. "Not quite as rich as the view outside Zhen's abode, but very few things are."
  192.
  193. Alloces:
  194. "Depends on the world, I wager. The one around here is more...infuriating, I'd say, than intoxicating. Still, many interesting people flock here, so it isn't all bad. I can't say I got a good look around your master's place...I was a little preoccupied, after all."
  195.
  196. Alloces:
  197. "But it seemed pleasant enough."
  198.
  199. Alloces:
  200. "You know, for a potential deathbed. Could have chosen worse. That man...he's a real monster in terms of power, far outstripping this particular one..."
  201.
  202. Marona:
  203. "It's a lavish establishment to be sure. All the more punctuated by the wafer of the moon shining in. You should visit it one day, so long as you don't mind the attention of a dozen overly curious assassins."
  204.
  205. Alloces:
  206. "Oh, I'm not concerned with those! He may be a real monster, but even this fake monster can handle himself."
  207.
  208. Marona:
  209. Marona gaves a faint laugh under her breath, and stirs her drink for a while. "I suppo-" she stops dead in her words when she hears the familiar sound of old-fashioned violins reach a crescendo on the speakers.
  210.
  211. Alloces:
  212. "Hm? Not your song?"
  213.
  214. Marona:
  215. "Oooh. This was one of my favorite songs growing up. I think I remember all the words even after all this time." She holds her shoulders before getting up.
  216.
  217. Alloces:
  218. "Well, I'm glad to be wrong, in this case!"
  219.
  220. Marona:
  221. "I won't mind merging into the crowd for this. Mind if I take your hand for this? I don't suppose you're one for song and dance, are you?"
  222.
  223. Alloces:
  224. Al rises from his seat, "Of course! I'd be happy to lend my hand. What would I be if I dressed this way without knowing how to dance?"
  225. Alloces: (( Had to do something there, but I'm back for now mostly ))
  226.
  227. Marona:
  228. "Yes, it's all like those years never passed at all." She looks up in a trance, taking a deep breath. "♪They call you laaady luck...but there is room for doubt....♪" She sings with an impressively deep voice for a woman as slender as her.
  229. Alloces: (( Well okay NOW I'm back ))
  230.
  231. Marona:
  232. "♪At times you have...a very unlady like waaay...of running out...♪" She serenades through the even the mumbling crowd, undeterred by any background distractions
  233.
  234. Alloces:
  235. "It is a very nice song, isn't it?" Al's not too surprised by Marona's singing voice, considering she's in a suit and all. He does, however, make sure to keep tempo with the dance, and to avoid the people around him...it wouldn't do to bump into someone and ruin the mood, after all.
  236.
  237. Alloces:
  238. 'Her taste in music is leagues better than anyone I've met! Why did she have to be my enemy, and those fools my...at least, temporary, allies?'
  239.
  240. Marona:
  241. The song begins to pick up tempo, leading Marona to really start jumping to a heavier flow. Her dance moves are very calculated and masculine, almost flatteringly gentlemanly. "It goes pretty far back..." she mutters under her breath before joining the song again. "♪Luck be a lady tonight! Luck if you've been a lady to begin with! Luck be a lady tonight!♪"
  242.
  243. Alloces:
  244. Al lets himself be led along, albeit he's a little surprised to be playing the follower and not the leader, as a man. Doesn't bother him much, though, especially since the girl seems to know the song and dance far better than he does. However, even as a follower, he won't let himself be outdone, and does his best to keep up with Marona, shadowing her movements with his own, less pronounced ones. "You really are a fantastic singer, Marona. Unexpected, but delightful!"
  245.
  246. Marona:
  247. Marona smirks slightly at your compliment before joyously harmonizing some more. The song eventually comes to a wonderful close, finally leaving her free to speak. But upon opening her mouth, she realizes her usually superb singing had made her (and you by association) the center of attention the whole time, leading her to be drowned out by a cannonade of thundrous applause. Her face turns blood red, and she slowly backs off back to her table, keeping silent.
  248.
  249. Alloces:
  250. "My, it seems I wasn't the only one to think that way... At least they know how to appreciate a good dance." Al hurries toward Marona and lowers his voice, "There's no need to be embarrassed, girl. They loved it! You certainly do have a way with the people...perhaps you wouldn't need to rely on deception to make a good politician after all."
  251. Marona: (( do not adjust your TV set, I am now back ))
  252. Alloces: (( *flips TV completely around* ))
  253.
  254. Marona:
  255. "It's, uh..." Marona begins stuttering. "Thank you? Probably a bad idea to be this in the center of things at this moment though. Still, sometimes I just can't help it. You can understand, right?" She scratches her reddened cheek.
  256.
  257. Alloces:
  258. Al shakes his head and chuckles a bit, "I understand, but...well, I would be lying if I said I didn't like it when you can't help it! The most fun I've had in a while."
  259.
  260. Marona:
  261. Marona looks down, finger still on her cheek. You can barely make out a faint smile crawling over her mouth. "Yeah...me too." She jolts her head up. "But we're past that now. Don't think I'm in the mood for drinking anymore, and I think the stars are growing ever too incandescent for me."
  262.
  263. Marona:
  264. "It was great talking with you but...I'd suggest not getting too attached to me. At the end of the day, I'm still a cleanup woman, and you're the garbage."
  265.
  266. Alloces:
  267. "Yes, well," Al grins and looks around the crowd of people, "I'm sure they'll all be disappointed. I know I am!" Al's smile fades somewhat at Marona's second statement, but he corrects it, and tries not to let it show in his speech, "Now, don't put yourself down like that. A job like garbagewoman doesn't suit you... Perhaps a refurbisher instead. Turn useless old junk like me into something new and useful!"
  268.
  269. Marona:
  270. Marona chuckles to herself. "Y'know, for garbage, you aren't that bad. Mind walking me out of here yourself? I hear men like you love escorting their others away. Y'know, just until the taxi gets here."
  271.
  272. Alloces:
  273. "Yes...that way, we get to be near them ever longer. Thus, I would be elated to!" Al takes her arm, even if for just the moment, and leads her out, albeit decidedly not very quickly. He can't actually recall her ever calling for a taxi, but he's not about to bring it up.
  274.
  275. Marona:
  276. She walks alongside you, looking up into the stars and buildings stroking through the pitch black skye, and moving unblinkingly into the cold wind. "I do have to ask though. Why?"
  277.
  278. Alloces:
  279. >skye
  280. Alloces: (( >no /ooc ))
  281. Alloces: (( odd ))
  282.
  283. Alloces:
  284. "Why, because, naturally! It would help if you went a little more in depth, however."
  285.
  286. Marona:
  287. "Within the last few moments alone, I could have easily punctured every vital point in your body, embedded a bomb directly into your skin, or tear you open from the tips of your toes to the cap of your skull and everyone would be none the wiser. Shouldn't you be more cautious around who you choose to hang with?"
  288.
  289. Marona:
  290. "Even if I couldn't bring myelf to today, make no mistake about it. I am a dangerous, dangerous person. You at the very least had prior knowledge of that."
  291.
  292. Alloces:
  293. "Oh, I have my reasons. For starters, I was very confident you wouldn't kill me today! And next, I'm very confident that you can't kill me, any day. That's no insult to you. The only one capable of causing me to truly fear for my life is Adel. I have battled with most of my closest friends, after all! Danger is no stranger to me."
  294.
  295. Alloces:
  296. "And lastly...well, you're worth the risk!"
  297.
  298. Marona:
  299. "Worth the risk, huh?" Marona looks out into the oncoming traffic, twirling her bangs nonchalantly. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind." she says, with a smile continuing to paint her face. "But most of all, I look forward to the day where you can prove that boasting of yours." she speaks as the cab slowly moves in.
  300.
  301. Marona:
  302. "And maybe, one day, you'll be able to see me blossom into an elegant political black hole. I have high hopes."
  303.
  304. Alloces:
  305. "And so do I! You will be the first invite to my play of power. And I do hope there will be a song afterward?"
  306.
  307. Marona:
  308. "Heh. What do you take me for, a scoundrel? Of course there will. And I'll ensure the entire world sings along with me." She steps into the cab, opening the window to feel the cold breeze along her face.
  309.
  310. Alloces:
  311. Al strides up to the window of the car, before saying, "Of course they will. Naturally, my voice will be the loudest of them all!"
  312.
  313. Marona:
  314. Marona nods and waves goodbye as the cab drives off into the distance. You can make out her mouthing the words, "I look forward to it"
  315.
  316. Alloces:
  317. Al watches the cab drive off until it fades out of view, at which point he comes back to his senses, "Hah...with enemies like her, who needs friends... A shame, but following her now wouldn't do..."
  318. Alloces: (( I suppose we end it off here, unless anyone assaults me on the way back home, which is...probably near A Hard Place, or we want to go to the next day ))
  319. tirkaroKujo:
  320. The day passes through with little hesitation, with the patrons of the bar slowly dissolving away as time passes. Tomorrow is a bright new Sunday, but you can't help but shake an ominous feeling in your stomach that something sinister looms over the horizon.
  321. Alloces: (( I DO have stuff I planned to do this session ))
  322. tirkaroKujo:
  323. like whaaaaat
  324. Alloces: (( It'd probably take too long, considering that took like four hours ))
  325. tirkaroKujo:
  326. just tell me it so I'll know ahead of time
  327. Alloces: (( Was gonna go see Rosa ))
  328. Alloces: (( the uh, actual Rosa ))
  329. tirkaroKujo:
  330. Eeeh, that can wait till tomorrow
  331. Alloces: (( it'd definitely be tomorrow in-game ))
  332. Alloces: (( But I don't know what you mean by tomorrow, as I probably won't be doing anything in tomorrow's session ))
  333. tirkaroKujo:
  334. We could do a short session before the main one
  335. Alloces: (( >short ))
  336. tirkaroKujo:
  337. It's not like anything particularly HUGE is gonna happen then
  338. Alloces: (( nigga we just had a four-hour-long session where nothing particularly huge happened ))
  339. tirkaroKujo:
  340. Fine, fine, if you wanna do it today *closes SMTIV in tears ;A;*
  341. Alloces: (( Eh, it doesn't really matter, but it'll likely end up long somehow no matter when it's done ))
  342. tirkaroKujo:
  343. You wake up a in the morning feeling refreshed, as the cool sunday air slowly seeps in. The city is bustling as per usual, but the ominous feeling still doesn't subside.
  344.
  345. Alloces:
  346. 'Mmh...I thank my tolerance for the lack of a hangover. Wonder how she's doing...' Al shakes his head, quits thinking about last night, and gets ready for the day. In the end, he can't think of anything more important than checking up on the Sister...she's bound to be a wreck after yesterday.
  347.
  348. Alloces:
  349. He calls a cab, since nobody seems to HAVE a car in this town, and heads over to the church...seeing it's Sunday, it's a safe bet she'll be there.
  350. tirkaroKujo:
  351. You arrive over to the Santa Maria della Prosperita, where the usua; churchgoers are gathering. You can make out a few familiar faces in the crowd, but the most peculiar thing is, Rosa herself seems to be nowhere in sight
  352.
  353. Alloces:
  354. 'Could she not bring herself to come...? This could be more serious than I'd anticipated.' Al walks up to one of the dawdling votaries, "Mi scusi; could you point me to Sister Rosa?"
  355. tirkaroKujo:
  356. You can see that the church is still generally frought with discomfort. It seems the recent events brought the service workers into general disarray.
  357. Alloces: (( Oh hey I remember you from Grognardinfer I thin ))
  358. Alloces: (( k ))
  359. Alloces: (( Finder* ))
  360. Alloces: (( fuck me ))
  361.
  362. Sypha:
  363. "Oh me, oh my. Oh me, oh my. Wherever could she be?" She turns her attention to the man requesting her help. "I'm sorry, but she does not seem to be with us today. Could she still be resting in the quarters?"
  364.
  365. Sypha:
  366. "I understand how she feels...but avoiding us so recklessly is dangerous for someone like her."
  367.
  368. Alloces:
  369. "Mm..I would understand if she were. Would you allow me to see her?"
  370. Alloces: (( I 100% assume it's just Gryffindor Tower ))
  371. Alloces: (( and the stairs turn into a slide ))
  372.
  373. Sypha:
  374. "I'm sorry, but that area is strictly reserved for-" She's interrupted by one of the clergymen whispering to her. "Oh...it seems she's nowhere in her quarters either. This is more cause for worry."
  375.
  376. Sypha:
  377. "It's bad enough what happened to Father Halford. Why must she we be struck with even more pain?"
  378. Alloces: (( whoever Shewe is, I feel for them ))
  379.
  380. Alloces:
  381. "..no, it is cause for action. If she has disappeared without alerting anyone... WEll, do you know where she usually takes off to?"
  382.
  383. Sypha:
  384. Sypha looks down, sullen. "I fear...I fear she may have gone to the end corners of Wolfgang Way. That's where we found her before during one of her other more...unfortunate days."
  385.
  386. Sypha:
  387. "I pray that the Father's death did not drive her to resolve something that needed no resolution."
  388.
  389. Alloces:
  390. Al frowns when he hears of Rosa's predicted location, knowing it's a wretched hive of scum and villainy. "Well...it seems that there's need for a dogcatcher. Excuse me, miss...?"
  391.
  392. Sypha:
  393. You head on over to said wretched hive as Sypha looks on fraught with concern. Every member of the church does, in fact.
  394.
  395. Alloces:
  396. Al makes way for...Wolfgang Way, determined to find Rosa and...hopefully, make sure no harm comes to her.
  397. tirkaroKujo:
  398. The streets soon turn grey and sour, a good indicator that you've reached Wolfgang Way. There seems to be nothing the matter, with the streets being a little more...empty than usual.
  399. tirkaroKujo:
  400. You come onto a small nook in the streets, near a mostly-abandoned part of town. Things feel cold and empty here, but you can make out a faint sound coming from the distance. It's an oddly...soothing sound, like someone singing.
  401. tirkaroKujo:
  402. As you go closer to the source of the noise, the singing becomes more and more apparent. It sounds very operatic, and is backed up by another vocalist. Of course, this vocalist seems to be deep and masculine, and isn't so much "singing" as much as he is cryng in pain.
  403.
  404. Alloces:
  405. "Singing, huh...had to be, didn't it? Well, best to check any leads, I suppose." Al stalks down the alley, trying not to go too quickly, lest he alert anyone..there's no guarantee the singer won't be hostile, after all. Of course, once he hears the sounds of one being beaten up, he rushes a bit more - but still tries to keep hidden. No sense in alerting someone you KNOW is hostile, after all.
  406. tirkaroKujo:
  407. You finally make it to the source of the noise. The latter noise, at least, and boy it isn't pretty. A man stumbles up to you, his arm twisted in an unnatural position, and one of his hands crumbled up as if he put it through a compactor.
  408.
  409. Perruche:
  410. "GuAAAAH!" He screams as if he's been rocked by a surge of nothing but pure, unending pain. "GUUAGH! HELP...HELP ME!" He cries at the top of his lungs as he stumbles towards you
  411.
  412. Perruche:
  413. Around him, you can hear the sound of a woman singing a series of melodic high notes, which almost drowns out his pained wails
  414.
  415. Alloces:
  416. Al steps around the man, shaking his head, "You wouldn't have happened to have had a run-in with a blonde woman in a suit, hm? That definitely does not sound her style, however..."
  417.
  418. Perruche:
  419. "Wh-WHAT!?" He yells, almost as if he's having trouble understanding you. He falls to the ground, tears in his eyes. "I WAS JUST DOING SOME BUSINESS WITH- GUUAAAGH!" out of nowhere, his right leg begins to twist and screw as well. You can hear the sounds of his bones breaking, his muscles tearing apart.
  420.
  421. Perruche:
  422. "Help me...my legs...are twisting." He begins to chuckle, his mind lapsing into a brief state of pain-induced insanity. "They're twisting off! AhahahAHAAAAUUUGH!"
  423.
  424. Alloces:
  425. "Urgh...what in the world did this to you? Well, I suppose a bit of kindness to the public every now and again won't hurt." Al slams the heel of his boot into the unsightly man's face, kicking him into the wall, and hopefully knocking his ass out. That should relieve his pain...for a little while, at least. "Now, to find the Sister."
  426. Alloces: (( unless he just turns out to be a fighter ))
  427.
  428. Perruche:
  429. "P-PLEASE HEEEEEAAAAAALPP-" he yells before he's silenced by your boot. Once your foot makes impact, however, his legs suddenly explode into a bloody mess, staining your leggings red.
  430.
  431. Perruche:
  432. He's slammed into the wall, his arms soon following suit, his body eventually twisting into a bloody mess. At least he couldn't feel any of it this time.
  433.
  434. Alloces:
  435. "...That can't have been my kick. It seems that everyone I try and hurt ends up dead through little fault or knowledge of my own. Funny how that works. Still, it seems as if I'm dealing with a Replicant user...a very powerful and twisted one."
  436. tirkaroKujo:
  437. The melodic tune still lingers throughout the halls, it's haunting falsetto ringing loudly even as you scurry through
  438.
  439. Alloces:
  440. Al wanders through the alley, a mite bit faster since he knows what he's dealing with now, but still rather cautiously.
  441.
  442. Alloces:
  443. "I wonder if I should bust out my eardrums..it may be the sound itself that causes this."
  444. tirkaroKujo:
  445. The floor is covered with streams and puddles of blood, as well as the body parts of some random man you can't make out. The sound gets closer and closer until you reach the source of the soothing noise
  446.
  447. Sister Rosa:
  448. In the centre of a mass intersection of broken beams and junk, you see a tired-out looking sister Rosa, her uniform now stained in blood. She clutches her stomach, as if she's wincing in pain.
  449. Alloces: (( why are the stands ALWAYS questionish marks ))
  450.
  451. Sister Rosa:
  452. A figure above her sings a loud operating wail, giving a twisted soundtrack to the scene below it: Sister Rosa standing over a twisted and deformed dead body, long since mutilated past the point of recognition
  453.
  454. Alloces:
  455. Al stumbles once he sees Rosa, but recollects his composure and runs toward her, not only barely processing scene in front of him, "Sister! What's wrong wi--nevermind that, behind you!" 'I can only fight so many of these monstrosities before even my power runs out...'
  456.
  457. Sister Rosa:
  458. "Why is the pain still here?" She murmurs to herself. "Just die..why won't they all just die..."
  459.
  460. Sister Rosa:
  461. She looks up, unfeelingly, at the stumblign man aside him "Oh. Hello Al. You caught me at a bad time. I apologize."
  462.
  463. Sister Rosa:
  464. "I still feel someone here lingering. I'm doing something about that."
  465.
  466. Alloces:
  467. Al shakes his head and furrows his brow while fumbling over his words, "Wha...you're saying that...he did say you have a Replicant... So it was..you, causing all this...? That would explain why you're...not..." Coming slightly back to his senses, Al finally takes in the full scene around the alleyway, "You have quite the dreadful ability...and your personality is..disturbingly diverged from the norm. These...is it even right to call them bodies, in this state? Criminals, I gather, but still! A slaughter of this scale...it's not something even I would do! Speaking of which, I'm unaffected. Why is that..."
  468.
  469. Sister Rosa:
  470. "Go away. You aren't involved." She says in the most straightforward manner possible.
  471.
  472. Makaveli:
  473. "HoooooAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" The unknown replicant screams out, shattering a piece of debris right behind you. It seems the debris was hiding a man, curled up in a cowardly position, who begins crying like a madman once his cover is blown
  474.
  475. Anatra:
  476. "GAAAAAAAH!" He screams before bursting into tears. "GET HER AWAY FROM ME! SHE'S KILLING EVERYBODY!"
  477.
  478. Sister Rosa:
  479. "There you are. I'm sorry, but I cannot let a soul find out about this. As much as I tried to cover it up..."
  480.
  481. Alloces:
  482. "No...I don't think she is. I'd knock you out, but it wouldn't help." Al turns to look at Rosa, or rather, her Replicant, "Oh? Not a soul? I'm afraid, despite my devilish demeanor, I've still got one of those. So we'll have to settle this... And you may just want to focus on me first."
  483.
  484. Sister Rosa:
  485. Rosa covers her stomach, and belts out a small chuckle. Followed by another. and another.
  486.
  487. Alloces:
  488. "It truly seems as if I'll have to take out every single one of these mechanized beasts of souls... Somehow."
  489.
  490. Sister Rosa:
  491. Soon she devolves into full-on maniacal laughter. "Yes, it's true! I tried to smother it away, but there's no use hiding it! My ability is one that's only capable of hate! Hatred flows in my blood!"
  492.
  493. Sister Rosa:
  494. The figure behind her yells operatically. "I AM hatred! And for that, I must unleash my hate upon everyone..."
  495.
  496. Anatra:
  497. The man behind you breaks down. "STOOOP! MAKE IT STOOP!" He gets up, trying to escape the scene.
  498.
  499. Alloces:
  500. "So hate me. Honestly, the ones who do seem to like me much more than the ones who don't. Unfortunately, this man asked me for help before you did...And I'd rather not watch someone ELSE die in front of me."
  501.
  502. Alloces:
  503. "So..I'll need to take you out, My First Abomination, and get the Sister back to herself." Al does, however, kick a rock toward the man in an attempt to knock him out.
  504. Alloces: (( if uh, this counts as dramatic combat, I could use Property Damage in place of Ki fro that (waiting) ))
  505.
  506. Anatra:
  507. You knock out the man over mid-dash, who's left lying on the floor. However, he still seems to be consciouss, and crawls miserably through the rubble. "Help...some one...help...."
  508. Alloces: (( meaning it'd do a whole...d6 ))
  509. Alloces: (( lel ))
  510.
  511. Sister Rosa:
  512. "Well, thank you for making my job easier at least." The figure above her begins screaming, sending the man into a pained cry.
  513.
  514. Anatra:
  515. "AAAUUUGH!" His arm begins to rupture and bulge, as if the blood is trying to burst out of it. Yet, he still refuses to give up escaping
  516.
  517. Alloces:
  518. "...you were supposed to fall unconscious. Oh well. You'll regret turning your attention away from me!" Al rushes up to the aberrant, leaking a viscous black...sand aura of sorts, and sics it on them; the same move he used against Halford. Albeit I have absolutely no idea how Dramatic Combat works or if this even is it, so, whatever. Doubt we'll be doing the fight itself tonight?
  519.
  520. Sister Rosa:
  521. "God has rightfully foresaken me. I am nothing more than a demon now. No. Even a demon has its reasons. All I do is hate. Hate, hate, hate, hate." *No, this is not dramatic combat*
  522. tirkaroKujo:
  523. but given that apparently MT got a flash call-in from work, we aren't playing tomorrow anyway
  524. tirkaroKujo:
  525. so we can probably end this here
