  1. In the article “Giganomics: And what don’t you do for a living”, Judith Woods presents a type of employment called giganomics. Basically, it is a form of freelancing, when a skilled employee, instead of working full-time in permanent well-payed job, takes a series of low-payed jobs. Thus, employee, in most cases, receives a better salary, and has ability to control what work he will do. And even though this type of employment may seem more profitable, there are anxieties like the lack of free time, necessity to stay always online, deadlines, and practically no social guarantees. It is up to everyone to decide whether is it worth to freelance or not, but author predicts that in future the need of portfolio workers will be ever-growing.
