  1. [18:59] IcePickLobotomy You and Walker arrive at the apartment. The hallways is empty, your neighbors having not arrived back yet. "Arina?" Walker pauses, key in the door "I am sorry."
  2. [19:00] Arina looks up at her, head cocked.
  3. [19:01] IcePickLobotomy "Just. . ." She shakes her head, opening the door to reveal the apartment. It's as you left it, though the shades are drawn closed, leaving the room shrouded in darkness and shadow. "You've not gotten the short end of the stick Arina,"
  4. [19:02] IcePickLobotomy "You'd be lucky to even get a stick at this point. I'm sorry I haven't been able to do more for you or your family."
  5. [19:05] Arina "You're apologizing."
  6. [19:05] Arina shrugs, stepping in. "As far as this year is concerned you've done more than anyone else put together."
  7. [19:07] IcePickLobotomy "Damning me with faint praise I see." There's no malice in her voice, just a bone deep bitterness at the situation "There anything you need before I go? I won't be back till late in all likelihood."
  8. [19:10] Arina sighs. "I honestly don't think you really have the authority to give me anything I particularly need at this point, but thank you for the offer."
  9. [19:11] IcePickLobotomy She nods "I figured as much. I'll see you around then." She steps into her room and shuts the door.
  10. [19:12] Arina runs a hand through her hair, moving to her room to get her things.
  11. [19:13] IcePickLobotomy Your room is dark, near pitch black with the thick curtains drawn over the window. You can tell that people have been through your room, things have been moved slightly, and a box lies on top of your bed. Static whispers in your ear, the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end. A knot of fear and dread forms in your stomach.
  12. [19:14] Arina swallows, tentatively moving towards the box to check it.
  13. [19:15] IcePickLobotomy You open it. It's empty
  14. [19:16] Arina 's breath catches in her throat and she looks around for where else it could be.
  15. [19:17] IcePickLobotomy You look around and. . .
  16. [19:18] IcePickLobotomy There in the mirror. Something is standing behind you, a long black leathery arm reaching out for you, the medal dangling between it's talons. A pair of baleful golden eyes shining in the dark.
  17. [19:21] Arina whips around with a shriek. And a punch.
  18. [19:42] IcePickLobotomy You're hand connects with nothing. You blink and it's gone. A moment later the door is slamed open as Walker, clad in lacy black underwear and a handgun barrels into the room. She slams into you, throwing you to the ground and knocking the box to the ground. "Arina? What's wrong!"
  19. [19:43] Arina "That-! There was something in here! It had my-!"
  20. [20:07] Arina (Wasn't everything out of place and moved slightly?)
  21. [20:07] IcePickLobotomy It was but more in the sense of "People had been in the room and had been moving things around" sense
  22. [20:07] IcePickLobotomy From when the METI personal were in there. The whole apartment is like that
  23. [20:08] Arina (So is it all back as if it hadn't been moved, or just 'stuff is shifted but there's nothing new in there'?)
  24. [20:08] IcePickLobotomy The latter.
  25. [20:08] Arina (Gotcha)
  26. [20:08] IcePickLobotomy it's shifted in the way of "Someone moved it and then tried to put it back where it was."
  27. [20:09] Arina nods.
  28. [20:10] Arina 'course that itself is a bit of a 'what the fuck were they doing there?' They had clothes and a medal to put back, that did not necessitate a deep search.
  29. [20:11] IcePickLobotomy They were cleaning and checking the apartment for contamination
  30. [20:11] IcePickLobotomy As Mary and Lana were there
  31. [20:18] Arina Current year, btw?
  32. [20:18] IcePickLobotomy 1988
  33. [21:04] IcePickLobotomy It fails to fully quench your thirst.
  34. [21:09] Arina nods.
  35. [21:38] Arina And with the 'yeah nobody believes Robin' it was just like: '... Right. Don't bother telling, METI won't help anyway'.
  36. [21:39] IcePickLobotomy And Walker really does believe Arina here
  37. [21:40] Arina nods.
  38. [22:21] Arina (I have decided this is the point where Arina gets hammered enough to forget to talk in English entirely)
  39. [22:21] IcePickLobotomy Ahahaha
  40. [22:21] IcePickLobotomy Good thing Walker speaks Russian
  41. [22:30] Arina ['Chiseledness' is a pretty funny word to begin with, to be honest.]
  42. [22:31] Arina [... actually...]
  43. [22:32] IcePickLobotomy "Oh? Penny for your thoughts?"
  44. [22:33] Arina [Just thinking, that might make sense.]
  45. [22:33] Arina [He certainly gets a passionate reaction from her...]
