Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Any% English F.A.Q.

Q: Why are you grabbing so many items?
A: I need mushrooms to powerup the Mush Badge.  Other items are collected to sell later.

Q: How does the Mush Badge work?
A: The Mush Badge adds a flat damage amount to attacks (rounded down) based on the number of mushrooms in my inventory.  The damage bonus from the Mush Badge is added after the attack damage is calculated.  The amount added varies depending on the type of mushroom and the game version.

JAPANESE
0.078 - Mushroom
0.098 - Super Mushroom
0.117 - Ultra Mushroom
0.199 - Max Mushroom

ENGLISH
0.199 - Mushroom & Super Mushroom
0.250 - Ultra Mushroom
0.299 - Max Mushroom

For english version I grab a total of 80 mushrooms, 3 super mushrooms and 2 ultra mushrooms and the bonus damage is 17,01 for chopper bros. and knockback bros. advance attacks would be 18 damage for each hit.

Q: What the hell just happened to the screen?
A: This is a side effect of the Selected Action Command Glitch.

Q: What is the Selected Action Command Glitch?
A: This glitch allows me to manipulate action commands to assign any action, including non-standard actions, to Mario or Luigi.  This allows me to store barrel commands on Mario without having a barrel as well as setting up Luigi Hat Clips.

Q: English version is easier than Japanese version?
A: Because the mush badge is OP in english version.

Q: Is possible the barrel cliping?
A: Yeah, but only 1 time and is useful only for skip the bowser's castle.

Q: Why you use pretty much luigi hat clip?
A: Mostly I use luigi hat clip for skip the rocks in teehee valley because the barrel cliping don't work in english version.
