  1. The Rainbow Goblins
  2.

  6. +Level must be level 6 or lower to begin the quest.+
  7. +The quest will conclude 30 days in-game after it has been started, whether the player completes it or not.+
  8. +The quest will conclude if the player reaches level 10.+
  9.
  10. =================================================================================
  11. First Scene ((rare forest encounter I guess?))
  12.
  13. You feel your heart rush as you struggle through the forest, outrunning a tentacle beast as it gives chase. You notice the beast suddenly quiver and stop, turning tail as you let out a laugh while still in full sprint. Turning back to watch your step, you run head first into a very large goblin woman! Unlike the other goblins you've met so far, this giantess stands an approximate seven and a half feet in height, and is built like an oxe. Her skin is a deep violet, and there's no hair on her head. On her back is a spear adorned with a violet feather, and what appears to be... A magnificently long straw? You question your vision for a moment as she places her hands on her hips, looking at you expectantly.
  14.
  15. "You there, you're coming with me."
  16.
  17. There is no sensualness in her voice, no lust either. In fact, you almost sense something darker, something malicious and calculating yet, at least for now not hostile intent. She picks you up into a princess carry while you're still dumbfounded, sprinting through the woods at breakneck speeds. You arrive at a large cavern opening, six other goblin women of similarly large statures are in attendance. Their colors from the shortest who still stands about 4'8" to the tallest at 7'5" are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Each has a similar spear adorned with a feather of the same color as their skin tone, and a straw as long as their body.
  18.
  19. "This [male/female] will do, sisters!"
  20.
  21. The Violet one lifts you up, by your arm, nearly dislocating it in the process as you let out a shout. Hey now, you're not a plaything! You demand to know what's going on as she politely lowers you, the green goblin coming forward.
  22.
  23. Green "Pardon my older sister. She's a bit... Slower. We are simply purveyors of fine... Delicious..."
  24.
  25. You go to stop her as she starts drooling, the Red goblin stepping forward to finish where she left off.
  26.
  27. Red: "Oi yah cunt, don't just go'n'stop mid-sentence! Lad, we're here t'get us some fine rainbow juice."
  28.
  29. Rainbow juice? What are they talking about?
  30.
  31. The Blue goblin steps forward as she laughs.
  32.
  33. Blue: "No, no, you silly goose. Not juices, **essence!** We're here for rainbow **essence!**
  34.
  35. What? But haven't they seen the weather outside? It's not very conducive to rainbows, after all.
  36.
  37. To this statement, the Yellow goblin steps forward.
  38.
  39. Yellow: "Ah, like, it will totally be easier if you follow us into the cave, y'know? Like you're totally correct and really smart and stuff, but it's hard to, y'know, explain things?"
  40.
  41. The Indigo goblin steps forward, shaking her head as she snickers.
  42.
  43. Indigo: "You harpy-brained slut, can't you just explain it normally? There's-"
  44.
  45. The Orange goblin interrupts her before she can finish her sentence, shouting as she jumps up and down.
  46.
  47. Orange: "There's a barrier that's keeping us rainbow goblins out! We need-"
  48.
  49. The Violet goblin that originally brought you here shoves her orange little sister out of the way as she rolls her eyes.
  50.
  51. Violet: "We need you to get rid of the barrier."
  52.
  53. Hold on, hold on. You think you understand the situation, but why should you help? What do you get out of this? You don't even know their names. The Green goblin steps forward at that.
  54.
  55. Green: "Names? That's easy! Girls?"
  56.
  57. They line up in a straight line from shortest to tallest, sounding off +Silly Mode: while saluting+.
  58.
  59. Red: "Red!"
  60.
  61. Orange: "Orange!"
  62.
  63. Yellow: "Yellow!"
  64.
  65. Green: "Green!"
  66.
  67. Blue: "Blue!"
  68.
  69. Indigo: "Indigo!"
  70.
  71. Violent: "Violet!"
  72.
  73. They break formation and begin giggling before Red walks forward.
  74.
  75. Red: "That be our names lad, and if ye' don't plan t'be in our stew t'night, ye'll be getting' yer arse into that cave!"
  76.
  77. You suppose you could...
  78. 1) Fight them
  79. You see no escape as you refuse their "offer," drawing your [weapon] as you prepare for a tough, no, in your current predicament impossible battle...
  80. +Treat as seven Goblin Assassins with no lust attacks, but with custom names of the rainbow+
  81.
  82. +IfWin+
  83. You finally somehow manage to fight off your assailants, beaten and bloody from the encounter, you decide to go home. You don't want any part in this "rainbow" nonsense and it's not worth your time, seeing how powerful you are already.
  84.
  85. +IfLose+
  86. You fall, beaten and bloody as the seven goblins surround you, clearly irritated. Taking on seven goblins at once of this strength, are you insane? This was a terrible mistake. You suppose you could continue to refuse them, but you imagine they might actually put you in their stew pot if you do.
  87.
  88. 1) Refuse anyways
  89. You refuse to do as they demand, clearly defiant and perhaps short on brain cells. The Red Goblin shrugs, stabbing a spear through your neck as you choke on your own blood.
  90.
  91. +Bad End+
  92. 2) Give in
  93. +Act as if player did as they asked.+
  94.
  95. 2) Do as they ask
  96. You decide to do as they ask, entering the cave. You notice a magical barrier, and a stone slate on the wall reading "we have guarded this last sacred rainbow with our lives from the demon hordes. You must never let her fall into the wrong hands." After shortly turning a corner or two, you find yourself in a beautiful enclosure. The ceiling and walls are lined with crystals that sparkle so dazzlingly they remind you of the sun, and uncorrupted trees and wildlife roam the small sanctuary in a symbiotic relationship. Deer gently nibble on rosebuds and a fox chases a rabbit through a flower patch. It's... Beautiful, and it reminds you of Ignam. You walk the "path" that has become overgrown with vines, anthills, and grass eeking out a minor existence inbetween the red bricks, approaching what appears to be a small cave basin. You dip your hand into the water. It has a hint of alkali likely from minerals drawn from the surrounding rock, but it's otherwise clean. You proceed to drink a few sips directly from the stream in the rock, the sound of roaring water in the background. Crawling up a slippery natural rock stairway, you find yourself staring at a beautiful waterfall, a magnificent rainbow shining brilliantly as it... Touches land? You approach it. +Silly mode: Almost expecting a pot of gold.+ There, a beautiful woman basks in the light of the crystals, stroking a rabbit's fur. When the rabbit sees you, it darts away, the woman glancing up at you with a sleepy, serene smile as she stands up. Her form is completely naked save for a crystalline amulet around her neck, a sort of ephemeral glow emanating off of her. Her body is slightly translucent and her skin pale, no, radiantly alabaster as minor flashes of color occasionally appear on its surface. Her lips are equally white. Her pupils are silver, while her whites are radiantly displaying color wheels constantly rotating within them. Her body appears somewhat aged, as if she had once been extremely beautiful but time had taken its toll, and yet you almost can't draw your eyes away. A thin layer of fog hides her most sensitive features as you're unable to tell her breast size or what lies between her legs. Truly, you feel as if her appearance would stir a reaction within you, and yet you feel no lust or physical needs upon staring at her. She beckons you with one long finger towards her, her hands reminding you of the piano players who would occasionally show up at the Bar. You feel no mental desire to approach, nothing beckoning you forward, no magic at work, and yet you approach all the same.
  97.
  98. "I am the guardian of this domain, the humans that sealed me from the corruption of the outside referred to me as the spirit of the rainbow. You may simply refer to me as Spirit, if you prefer. Tell me, who are you? What quest do you seek?"
  99.
  100. You tell the Rainbow Spirit who you are, how you were made the Champion of your village and how you proceeded to this realm as a sacrifice, about the corruption that took place in your body upon entering, and about your quest now that you're here. She nods intently, neither bemused nor irritated as you continue your story. When you finish it, she nods once more, considering your words for a time before shaking her head.
  101.
  102. "Alas, I have nothing to offer in aiding your quest. My own life force is short lived now, and I fear I will perish within the month when the barrier gives way and allows the blasted interlopers from the outside within. Even if they were to die though, the corruption of this land will slowly seep in when the barrier fades. I have... Some countermeasures that will work for a time, and allow my denizens to roam uncorrupted into the world for some time as well, but I know nothing of the source of corruption, nor how to prevent it from afflicting you or I. Perhaps... Perhaps the rainbow itself might find valor in your cause though and assist, but that would be between you and it. It requires a favor though, a task with compensation of course. A contract."
  103.
  104. Wait, the spirit isn't the rainbow itself? You agree to hear the terms of this contract, weary as you understand how malicious beings use such contracts to bind souls and perform other debased acts.
  105.
  106. "I simply care for the Rainbow, Champion, I do not control its whims. The Rainbow asks for a sacrifice. Not of life but of material goods it believes might exist in this corrupted world that would aid it in resisting the corruption and putting an end to the interlopers outside its confines. That is all. In exchange for your help, he will provide you with two boons: You may use this sanctuary to bask in the light of the rainbow and remove that which plagues you, and you may have a powerful shield should you complete our task. Know though that at the time of the countermeasures being put in place, **you shall never be able to come here again.**"
  107.
  108. She waves her hand as a huge boulder moves out of the way, revealing a deeper cave with rainbow-colored lights shining from the crystals along its walls. You've yet to discover what the Goblins want, and decide it best to proceed forward. Within the cave you find seven pedestals with seven chains extending from the ceiling. Each pedestal has a small stone sign hanging behind it, explaining what it desires. A larger stone tablet in the middle of the room reads:
  109.
  110. "Should the rainbow ever be threatened, may our champions gather that which it needs, and the nooses of fate shall intertwine with those that bring this threat, choking and then drowning them in their own life essence. Alas this will drain what little strength remains of the barrier, and doom the rainbow should the world still be in peril."
  111.
  112. You nod to yourself. This was the information you needed. It's been quite some time, and you feel the need to return back to camp to check on your surroundings, absolutely positive that you could make your way back here if need be, as if the Rainbow itself would guide you. Upon exiting, the seven goblins surround you, asking what happened and what you discovered. You're forced to describe the events that transpired as they all begin drooling at the mention of rainbows. As your tale concludes, Indigo comes forward, speaking for the group.
  113.
  114. Indigo: "Champion, that Rainbow will die either way when the demons get here. Please, we haven't eaten in years. We're starved for the nectar of the gods, the rainbow. The demons removed them all from existence. We could wait until the end of the month, but who knows what might show up by then? Will you... Will you please help us?"
  115.
  116. She looks almost pitiful as you look away, the Green goblin stepping forward.
  117.
  118. Green: "Well in any case, whatever alchemical reagent this rainbow ritual requires, if we infuse even four of them with the essence of our... **ahem* lower kind, we could probably nullify the barrier and enter regardless."
  119.
  120. The Yellow goblin presses her breasts in your face as she hugs you, pleading to you.
  121.
  122. Yellow: "Will, like, y'know, will you help us Champ? Can you, like, pour some goblin ale on the pedestals when you do that thing with the place? We'd be, like, really grateful."
  123.
  124. That last sentence was said extremely sultry... You manage to avoid the topic as you head back to camp, debating if you will help the goblins or help the rainbow.

  132.
  133. +When the player enters Rainbow Cave+
  134. You greet the Rainbow Goblins at the entrance of the cave as you enter, walking up the pathway to the Rainbow Spirit. Once more, she's lounging about the waterfall, occasionally casting a spell on the rainbow, no doubt being a dutiful caretaker. As she sees you, her rainbow irises seem to sparkle as she motions you over.
  135.
  136. "Champion, I see you have returned. What do you require?"
  137.
  138. 1) Enter Deep Cave
  139. She smiles, moving the boulder out of the way as you delve into the deep cave.
  140. +Go to Deep Cave+
  141. 2) Relax
  142. You explain that you'd like to "bask in the light of the rainbow" per your agreement as she smiles, motioning you closer. You lay down next to the water, the rainbow spirit laying down next to you. She begins to massage your scalp, your temple, your cheeks, your neck. It's not a sensual massage, but almost a professional one, as if she were trying to remove the built-up stress in your body. You sigh. There's no corruption here, everything lives tranquilly. It's a miracle this place exists at all as you let out a small laugh. The rainbow spirit smiles as she rolls you onto your stomach in such a way that you're facing the valley below, watching the birds, the flowers, the radiant gems producing "sunlight" on its walls.
  143.
  144. The spirit removes the top of your [armor] next, going no further. Your chest presses against the cool stone ground as she straddles your hips, not in a sexual manner but one to get a better grip. The way she does it, you can't quite tell what she's hiding under the fog, and the way she massages your neck and shoulders, you don't dare look up and behind at her.
  145.
  146. "Hmhm, you're definitely very tense, Champion. Perhaps you've been fighting too much, or perhaps you've been... Dealing with other needs in a haphazard way? It's none of my business either way. Simply... Relax."
  147.
  148. Her hands work into your back, occasionally brushing against your sides but never enough to elicit a sexual response. You bask in the afterglow of her work as you feel as if your stress has just been melted away, the serene scene around you etched into your mind. Your muscles feel much looser now from the experience, as if you could run a marathon. You stand up and re-do your upper [armor] as you thank the spirit for her support, deciding it best to head back to your camp. You're sure some magic was mixed into that massage as you feel your mind is just a little clearer now.

  316. As you exit the deep cave, the Rainbow Spirit looks at you with a look of horror.
  317.
  318. "Champion! What have you done!? Do you realize what you've reaped with your actions???"
  319.
  320. You shrug, explaining how she was doomed either way and how the harem of Goblins provided a more... Satisfactory compensation. She's completely powerless as she falls to her knees, unable to respond. You decide to watch the show as the seven goblins enter the cave, letting out a triumphant roar! In tandem, they cast a mighty spell as a malestrom of rainbow-colored winds pick up, ripping and tearing at the forest. Branches are flung, animals are skewered by the debris, and chaos ensues as all try to escape their mighty magic. The sunlight crystals along the walls are ripped free as the Rainbow Spirit shouts.
  321.
  322. "I must protect the rainbow!"
  323.
  324. She flees into the cave you just came from as the Goblins make their approach, the largest, Violet goblin stepping forward.
  325.
  326. "Step aside, Champion. You have served us well and you will have your reward soon enough."
  327.
  328. 1) Step Aside
  329. You step aside as the seven deadly goblins enter the cave, drawing the straws from their backs. You decide to follow them, curious about what they plan to do. Inside the cave, you watch as they collect the light-producing gems off the walls of their respective colors, munching down on them with reckless abandon as if they were rock candy. As you round the corner, you spot the Rainbow Spirit, holding an orb containing flashing colors of the rainbow. The Goblins quickly surround her, skewering her with their spears from all corners as she lets out a cry in pain. Her wounds begin bleeding various colors of the rainbow as they in turn stab their straws into those wounds, sucking out her life essences...
  330.
  331. When finished, the Rainbow Spirit is little more than a husk drained of her life forces. Violet, the largest of the Goblins, grabs the orb and holds it up, laughing maniacally.
  332.
  333. Violet: "We have done it, sisters! The last, delicious rainbow is finally ours!"
  334.
  335. "The last rainbow! The last rainbow!" you hear them chant as you approach now that their dark deed is done, asking an even more terribly dark question... What happens after they eat that last rainbow?
  336.
  337. The goblins look between each other in dismay. They had never considered this before. The Red goblin cackles, approaching you and slapping you on your back.
  338.
  339. "Hahaha! Why, once the last rainbow is eaten we'll have no choice but t'devour the other colors, lad! We'll 'ave nothin' left ta eat in but a few years! I mean, if it was only one o'us left, we could probably make that rainbow last fer years, but who would give up the last o'their food?"
  340.
  341. The Yellow goblin seems to consider these words as she rubs her chin for a moment. She seems to shrug at her fate before stabbing her Red compatriot in the back with her spear! The other five goblin sisters look between each other for several moments before an all-out brawl erupts! Perhaps in fear for your life or perhaps in fear of the gruesome scene, you run away to hide. The sounds of battle and shrieking do eventually die down though. You round the corner, only to find a goblin of average goblin stature with pure white skin slowly dissolving as she cackles.
  342.
  343. "The rainbow was... Delicious. It was too much for one Goblin to enjoy all by herself though. Alas we worked towards our own doom, killing our brethren to achieve this last act of debauchery. Perhaps there is a lesson to learn from this, Champion. I have... No time left in this world. Thank you for the meal."
  344.
  345. She lets out a low groan as she dissolves into black soot, only her spear remaining. You pick up the spear as you feel your ears becoming more elf-like and your view coming closer to the ground. The spear is adorned with seven small wooden carvings of goblins, hanging from nooses attached to the base of the spearhead. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. The shaft is alabaster white and you feel a power from deep within it, a need to kill Goblins.
  346.
  347. You leave the Rainbow Cave behind, its denizens dead or having fled into the corruption you return to. You know you shall never enter this place again.

  356. 2) Demand Compensation
  357. You demand compensation! They promised you compensation, and they can't have their rainbow until they provide it! The seven Rainbow Goblins surround you. It seems they have no problems with breaking your terms!
  358.
  359. +Start Rainbow Goblin Fight+ ((Same as previous Rainbow Goblin fight))
  360. +IFLose+
  361. Damn, damn! You fall down to one knee as the Rainbow Goblins move past you, ignoring your weak form. You're no Champion, how can you fight those monsters!? You close your eyes, falling into a deep sleep. When you awake, there is no sign of the Goblins, no sign of the cave even. You're sitting in a small hovel in the corrupted glade, the Goblins long-gone. You sigh, heading back to your camp with no reward for your efforts and a potential ally lost to the Goblins. You know you'll never find that place again.

  369. You stand triumphant over the Rainbow Goblins, bloody and bruised, but victorious. Their bodies seem to liquefy, combining together into one massive blob before being reformed as a spear.
  370.
  371. Picking up the spear, you descend to find the Rainbow Spirit cowering in the corner. You inform her that the Goblins are dead and you've fulfilled the contract as you demand the Rainbow's Assistance.
  372.
  373. "Just take its boon and go."
  374.
  375. She shoves the orb at you without looking you in the eyes as it transforms into a perfectly round shield, a color wheel displaying the seven colors of the rainbow taking up equal portions of the shield. It seems to be made of an unknown material, though clearly metal in nature. Taking the shield, you laugh before departing the Rainbow Cave entirely. The cave is a mess, its inhabitants having fled or died in the carnage, the sole survivor being the Rainbow Spirit who will soon fade with the Rainbow under your command. You know you will never be able to come here again. You care not, you've outwitted both the Goblins and the Rainbow Spirit, proving your worth as a Champion to be reckoned with.

  395.
  396. +If Player completes the quest by activating the seven pedestals+
  397.
  398. As you activate the last color of the rainbow. You feel a warmth wash over you as if you had done a good deed. Leaving the cave, you discover the Rainbow Spirit grinning as she bows to you.
  399.
  400. "Thank you, Champion. Thank you. You've done a great deed for us, now watch as your actions come to fruition!"
  401.
  402. You nod, taking a seat on the ledge as you watch the show below. The Rainbow Spirit sits down next to you, locking her fingers around your own as the goblins storm into the rainbow cave stronghold. Violet, the largest of the Rainbow Goblins, laughs as she shouts out to you.
  403.
  404. "You've done well, Champion! Thank you for destoying the barrier, you've even captured its defender! Now the Rainbow shall be ours!" The Rainbow Spirit next to you smirks at their assumption as they come charging towards you. When they're almost at the stone stairway though and pull out their spears, beautiful chains drop from the cave ceiling, wrapping and tangling the seven goblins as they fall into a heap. From there, the various flowers, vines, and denizens of the large Rainbow Cave approach, carrying buckets upon buckets of various fluids, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet.
  405.
  406. "Treachery!" You hear Red call out to you from below as you cross your arms, watching the show. Soon, the denizens of the Rainbow Cave begin pouring the buckets of rainbow fluids onto the goblins, drowning them in the colors they loved so much. In short order, the Rainbow Goblins are no more as the Rainbow Spirit laughs. The fluids as well as the bodies of the goblins coalesce into a white orb, sparks of color occasionally appearing on it. The orb floats up to you, hovering in place. Catching the orb, it transforms into a magnificent Kite Shield, alabaster in color and adorned in the center by a color wheel featuring the seven colors of the rainbow in equal portions as they extend through the shield. It's incredibly light, despite its large size, and you question what metal it's made of. The goblins are no more and the cave will remain protected for some time, but you feel a bit guilty, knowing what is to come should you fail in your task. All of this could very easily be lost. The Rainbow Spirit seems to be in high spirits as she calls out to the crowd of animals and plants.
  407.
  408. "As a reward to you all tonight, please, accept this gift. The seven of you amongst the ranks have done an especially excellent job in preparing for tonight."
  409.
  410. The rainbow behind you seems to waver for a moment, many of the small flowers and vines sprouting into beautiful butterflies and magnificent dragonflies as those in their old forms grow ever larger. Brightly plumed birds begin to fly around the cave as seven beings step forward. They have the same snow white skin and appearance as the Rainbow Spirit next to you, but each one has eyes of a different color of the rainbow, as well as large wings on their backs of the same color. Their appearances almost remind you of Kites as your compatriot speaks.
  411.
  412. "Alas ye daughters of Karura, your spirits bound within the bodies of those wretched Goblin Sisters! The land is blighted and our Champion will need your help in the days to come. Go, find your own colonies and bring them to fruition, find ways to help this Champion fight the hordes to come, and do not waver in your quest. No demon shall touch you, lest their skin burst into flames from your holy energies!"
  413.
  414. The seven Kite-girls nod before flying, leaving the cave behind. Finally, the Rainbow Spirit turns to you once more.
  415.
  416. "I'm not long for this form. Soon, I will have to spread my influence to those girls and their denizens while allowing this place to flourish. For the animals that live here, for their continued survival, you must never return to this cave again. Thus, I will have to hide it's location from even you, Champion, lest you fail in your quest and the forces of Darkness snatch it from your corrupted self. I thank you though, you have done so much for us, and I'd like to give you another boon."
  417.
  418. 1) Accept
  419. You accept her offer as she hugs you tight to her body. Even now you can't tell the size of her breasts, but you can tell they're softly pushing against you, in fact, her whole body is soft, almost fluffy like a cloud. She gently rubs your head, patting it and brushing your hair through her fingers as she gives you a light kiss on the forehead. You feel your body is at peace as you sigh, content to remain here for quite some time. She gently places her lips to your own, gently kissing you for a moment longer as you feel power well up into your body. Your mind feels at ease for the first time since coming to this world, and you wish this feeling could last for an eternity as she separates from you.
  420.
  421. "I'm sorry, Champion, but you and I will never meet again. Please, take care of yourself out there in these lands." She smiles, thanking you for your help in the matter one last time as you leave the cave, knowing you can never enter this place again. It's better this way.

  431. You refuse politely, insisting that you were happy to help and that the shield was enough of a reward. She smiles, thanking you for your help in the matter as you leave the cave, knowing you can never enter this place again. It's better this way.
