I plan to pursue a career in the field of accounting. My responsibilities as an accountant would include recording my employer’s financial transactions on a daily basis by applying the rules of debit and credit, maintaining financial records in the form of journal entries and ledger accounts, keeping a trial balance, and so on. I would also prepare various financial statements such as the income statement and balance sheet. My ultimate goal would be to tally the company’s balance sheet without finding discrepancies in any accounts.
