  1. Friends have a really weird way of convincing you to do things you really don't want to do. One moment you're alone in your apartment, wearing your PJs and ready to settle in for an intense night of leftover pizza and binge-watching Netflix until 4am, the next moment you've been convinced to get dressed and come to some club your friend heard about.

  3. It was due to one such friend that Abby found waiting in line, the light jacket covering the upper half of her body doing little to keep the biting winter winds away. In what she was sure was going to be the first of many mistakes she would make tonight, she had been convinced that they wouldn't be waiting outside for long so why bother with a big coat? The young brunette woman couldn't help but give her friend a sidelong glare as she shivered yet again, trying to shrink into herself to try and keep what little warmth left in her body she had. The glare naturally didn't go unnoticed. Abby almost instinctively winced as the familiar hearty laugh of her friend rang in her ears.

  5. "Don't give me that look, you're going to be thanking me later," Jen said, wrapping one arm around Abby's shoulders and squeezing her gently.

  7. Abby simply shrugged at this. It wasn't like Jen was wrong. Whenever she was forced out of the house things tended to take eventful turns to say the least. Usually at about the point where Jen wandered off to find something fun to do. Thankfully, it wouldn't take much longer for them to actually reach the entrance. A quick confirmation of ID later and a quick stop at the coat check later, they were inside.
