  1. Arthur Rowan says, "...Finally."
  2.
  3.
  4. Arthur Rowan says, "Apprehend them. All of them. Now."
  5.
  6. Sylvester Ruger asks, "Eating plenty of rats Astaria?"
  7. ** You spot Ume Kimyona nearby! [Click to pursue] **
  8.
  9. You have stopped scouting! (Total ENERGY used: 200)
  10.
  11.
  12. Ume Kimyona says, "Er uhhh... h-heeheheeyyy."
  13.
  14. Franziska Beck says, "And who are you? Look like a Kitsune to me."
  15.
  16. Ume Kimyona says, "Are ya' KITTEN me! Y'know me you dumb dumb.."
  17. "Get Astaria. Mariposa are a bonus."
  18.
  19. The Adjudicator goes out of his way to lunge against Astaria, of all people in the group- the eyes of Arthur are ablaze of bright crimson, easily telling about one thing of all that he has on his mind.
  20.
  21. To rip someone's guts out.
  22.
  23. "ANYONE STANDING IN THE WAY OF DAWN WILL DIE."
  24.
  25. It's quick, ruthless. In a single moment, he attacks Astaria precisely, leaving the Mariposa and the rest up to them. It'd seem that Shezmu is ignored - but should he stay in their way, violence would follow.
  26.
  27. What happens next? Remains to be seen.
  28. (Arthur Rowan)
  29.
  30.
  31. Franziska Beck says, "I'm going to capture the Kitsune boy. I know he works for Huangzhou."
  32. Ume looked over to the bunch and his face turned into an O "The hell's goin on!" He looked over to Franziska and frowned... "I don't like your attitude! We'll see what's gonna happen huh! You me pretty lady!"
  33. (Ume Kimyona)
  34.
  35. His eyes veered over towards the Mariposas.. There were zooming thoughts running through his head about how mad Nanyang would be if Shezmu allowed them to get hurt.
  36.
  37. He had no choice but to fight.
  38.
  39. "Very well.."
  40.
  41. Shezmu's eyes took notice of the tower that was built by him.. That was dedicated to his twin brother..
  42.
  43. Being Destroyed.
  44.
  45. This gave him even more of a reason to engage into battle.. Slowly, he removed his Arcanium spellblade from his back as sand slowly started to gather at his feet.
  46.
  47. "Let's take care of this already.. I got things to do."
  48. (Shezmu Awaret)
  49.
  50. The wings of the drakanite opened as wide as they could, flame birthing from the wings as the drakan willed it..., small preparations for the conflict that would come...
  51.
  52. His staff slipped to his left hand, taking the back, awaiting for an opportunity to help if it was indeed something needed, in silence the drakanite awaited for what would come...
  53.
  54. "If those are foolish enough to stand on the path of Dawn..."
  55.
  56. Keeping his eyes on the people from Huang, the drakanite awaited, expecting an opportunity to aid on what he could...
  57. (Grirsh Ilmish)
  58.
  59. Well, there it was. People! Rieka flamed outwards, possessing the nearby environment around him. Of course, he knew who he would deal with first. Eyes set on the sultan of Deseti, eyebrows furrowed down. He looked towards Arthur just briefly.
  60.
  61. "Let's do it, then." He spoke, hand hitting against each other, possessed in Rieka. Mythril blade was pulled, being held in a tight grip. The faintest sensation of Holy energy could be felt emanating from the Oscuri.
  62.
  63. A scowl, as he stared at Astaria. "How could you do that even if I admired you?"
  64. (Alastor G. Vishkar)
  65.
  66.
  67. Ume Kimyona exclaims, "Man! I'm freakin chip chopped! By golly gee this aint good!"
  68. Well.
  69.
  70. He had assumed that at some point, he'd go on patrol. Alone, of course, and for no reason other than to appease his sense of restless behavior. He hadn't gotten to talk with Kestrel really and because of that and many other things Farin found himself wanting to move about.
  71.
  72. His travels carried him into contact with a few of his comrades, and even a brother. Just in the nick of time, perhaps? There was no way to know what was to come but there was no point in wondering about it.
  73.
  74. He eyes Shezmu, the Deseti dweller. Or were they loyal to Huangzhou now? Seriously. What was with people and hopping their alliances like frogs?
  75.
  76. He grimaces.
  77.
  78. ''I really don't get you.''
  79.
  80. She may not acknowledge him, but he'd been looking at Astaria now. ''Some idiot tries to kill you and you throw yourself into bed with them? After helping us out for so long, and even fighting the vampires with us?''
  81.
  82. Was he even looking for an explanation? Probably not.
  83.
  84. Bright blue waves surround him and from his back he produces a duo of identical blades.
  85.
  86.
  87.
  88. (Farin Wray)
  89.
  90. Shezmu Awaret whispers something.
  91.
  92. Ume does some stretches and points towards the witch "Y'friggin cheat! I thought you were hard fallin for me but you were only hard fallin' to get some of my meat! And not that meat! T'rip my flesh! God I needa stop letting girls trick me like /THIIIIIIS/...."
  93. (Ume Kimyona)
  94.
  95. Pulling out her staff, the young witch the weapon about several times above her head. She began to twirl the weapon tightly above her head. In this moment, a furius occult aura stormed around her body. Creating a sucking wind and thick miasma around her body. Without any warning, she prepared to attack Ume. This would be her first captive. If her first attack on a tower that SHE recommended went well, perhaps the young withc would get praises.
  96.
  97. "I can't let down the Adjudicator. And The boy I like the most is around, so I can't lose because of that either. I'm sorry. You're kinda cute Ume, but you're on the wrong side. Maybe once I capture you and you convert to Azraelism, we can be friends." She then pointed the staff at the young Kitsune. A mixed barrage of occultic magics began to fling themselves toward the fox-boy.
  98.
  99. She was serious.
  100. (Franziska Beck)
  101.
  102.
  103. Ume Kimyona exclaims, "Hmph! Like ever! Let's get this show on the road!"
  104. Needless to say, whatever altercation had been going on in front of him didn't seem to draw upon one's mind as much as the faces of those present. "Ahh, as interesting as this could be, I suppose there's not a means to complain."
  105.
  106. Nor a means to be passive. Nature blooms in reaction to the heightened tension felt by the Grauhimmel, tendrils of green writhing in response to the fox's mana.
  107.
  108. "Well, I'm sure we'll get our answers Farin. If, it even matters at this point."
  109.
  110. His intentions with these few hadn't spanned far beyond the premise of a good hunt. Alike the Raksha, his eyes were set, fangs bared in wait of the first move as Caldara rested nicely upon his back.
  111. (Ludovic Grauhimmel)
  112.
  113. Igleta Eclipsa Mariposa Zhuge whispers something.
  114.
  115. Igleta Eclipsa Mariposa Zhuge whispers something.
  116.
  117.
  118. "Shezmu."
  119.
  120. Her voice rises amongst the crowded individuals- the knuckles around her blade beginning to whiten. "I've nothing against you, but I've got everything against those that have turned their backs on our people." Her gaze drifts back towards the women...A vicious, twisted snarl spilling upon her lips. "You don't have to get caught up within their mess if you don't desire. You don't have to protect them...After all, they'll only lead your city to ruins. However..." Her blade unsheathes- silver flames erupting around her being....The world churning, threatening to turn black and white...
  121.
  122. "These women...These women will stay."
  123.
  124. Silver, draconic scales soon loiter her frame as she shifts in place. "I've had enough of people turning against the Dawn. I've had enough of people taking my mercy for granted...Today. You all will learn." She rises higher into the air.
  125. (Bei Rowan)
  126.
  127. After fighting vampires for so long..
  128.
  129. A slight, barely perceptible tug was at the corner of Astaria's lips as her mirror-like silvery eyes lazily trailed from one person to the other, though it would finally settle upon the Adjudicator. Arthur Rowan. Flash of emotions went over her eyes- fear was present, very much there, nigh tangible, but there was something else getting in the way. Something else overpowering the fear which she felt..
  130.
  131. The magic around them. Each of them. A flash of hunger went over the Neries' eyes, sniffing the air; a silvery aura of pure energy surrounded her, spreading a chilling presence underneath the skin, poking at each of the azraelites' mana circuitry, feeling the flowing mana.
  132.
  133. The Neries exhaled softly, the tug at the corner of her lips widening, more perceptible now, and the hunger on her eyes intensifying- steadily, slowly, but more present at every second.
  134.
  135. It seems Astaria didn't really 'change' at all.
  136.
  137. Outside of allegiances, anyway.
  138.
  139. There's no 'good person' to be found here.
  140.
  141. Words. Words were useless in this situation- the silvery eyes stood on the Adjudicator, staring at the mask he wore in battle. Steadily, the grass surrounding Astaria started to wither and die, and its lifeforce, its mana, was siphoned by the Neries, and she reached to the staff on her back- vinelike constructs made of arcanium. With a flick of her wrist, the foci scattered into eight knots, like a punishing tool, which the woman slowly moved through the air.
  142.
  143. A darkened energy channeled from her hand through the staff, overfocusing upon the eight knots of the staff; the skies darkening as meteors made of a dark cosmic, gleaming like the stars, were summoned.
  144. (Astaria Rosenkreuz)
  145.
  146. Eclipsa gripped the hilt of her blade. This was no casual thing, and it was far from what she had expected. Her gaze lingered across all those warriors of Dawn, and firstly it stopped on Ludovic. The male who had lost himself when she spoke back at tower was here. Her right leg pulsed with pain as the remnant's of Kalishmi squirmed about and brought that familiar pain through her body. She was frightened once again, but even more so when her gaze kept moving and fell upon Bei Rowan in the group. That steel gaze of hers rested on Bei for a long time as she heard what she had to say and it made her tighten her grip on it.
  147.
  148. Emperor give me strength to uphold your will.
  149.
  150. Those thoughts were the best she had. Even with her 'specific predicament' she didn't have it within her to leave all these people especially knowing what the warriors of Dawn, of the fallen angel, would do to them. Her own life and that of another were at risk, but she just had to do what she could. No one deserved to be killed especially in the possibility of simply trying to visit a town. A brief sigh is given by Igleta as she focuses her mana through her body, aiming to enhance her movement speed to unreal levels. She had to call on the assistance of the Rose Quartet that she had been practicing.
  151.
  152. After this sigh was made, the blade is pulled from its scabbard and held within her hand. The blade covered in ethereal magic and tempered with the magic of Oath was prepared. A number of sparks appeared around her in a golden light as the raw, unrefined, mana of cosmic light embraced her. She closed her eyes for a moment as both the cheek marks glowed a brilliant golden in response to her mana circuitry being temporarily flushed with the energy of her star. "Why is that everyone must seek this bloodshed. Even before, I told you I simply came to speak to someone and now you wish to offer more bloodshed for this. When will people learn to forgive and move on with their lives?" She inquired not even expecting an answer out of those present.
  153.
  154. Seeing the undead spawn aside Arthur pained her deeply on the inside. However, she knew the combat abilities of all those present. Fear had to be pushed aside now. For there was no place for fear within this engagement. All that could be done was acceptance. The air around Eclipsa began to pulse and move away from her as her mana finally pinnacled and was harnessed within and throughout her body. Every joint and every muscle was pushed to move at speeds that broke the limits of even magi, far exceeding normal men, a final exhale is made as she opens her eyes to reveal a golden coloration about it.
  155.
  156. "Stand together and be prepared, everyone. We cannot let them route us. Hold whatever beliefs you have strong within you and show them that you are not ready to move on. May the Emperor protect." She concluded while entering the Liu Dao Wuxia stance of blade-art.
  157. (Igleta Eclipsa Mariposa Zhuge)
  158.
  159. Igleta Eclipsa Mariposa Zhuge whispers something.
  160.
  161. Shezmu Awaret whispers something.
  162.
  163. The sky truly did darken this day, as unfortunate as the Mariposa-Zhuge party had to be to come across the leadership of Dawn. An intense amount of concern started to rise in regards to her sister who had her close call with death from Dawn, being so close as to truly be executed. Leona looked back, and she wondered on one thing. If they could survive this day, or succumb to their adversaries. To be forgotten as a casualty of conflict.
  164.
  165. The sky tore open, and the ground rumbled fiercely as fire started to emerge forth, sifting the earth, and breathing upon the field with a destructive, and intimidating breath of plasmatic fire. Thunder bolts would course along the gray clouds, as the core of her energy started to shake with power, her circuits being overloaded with her primary magic. This overexposure of mana would begin to unravel forth large, and mature wings of plasmatic energy, to represent her ability as a plasma mage, as her feet left the ground.
  166.
  167. Purple leylinesstarted to trail from her cheek-marks which shifted into that of burning meteorites, glowing with an intense fire to them. The constellational staff upon her back would be grasped, electricity magically enhancing her instrument as she carried forth the will of the people, her nerves steeling. There would be no fear, no anxiety. It was a duty that she had to fill, to act as the champion of hope, and carry forth victory.
  168.
  169. " May the Emperor protect. "

  229.
  230. Tenoch Kumo whispers something.
  231.
  232. Brutal. Rage. Without mercy.
  233.
  234. The Storm was his element, and the bloodshed was his nature. No matter how much they tried to take down the Rowan after doing their best efforts to take down the Drakaness, it was either too late or had little to no effect at all- the storms above them were long time summoned, prompting to strike the victims at each and every turn.
  235.
  236. The flurry of ice spikes, the puppetry of blood magic, the shredding winds.
  237.
  238. All of it made the fighting terribly, terribly difficult for the Huangzhou denizens. It was not only the Dawn magi that fought them- it was the Nature itself with its environmental effects that fought back against them, and no matter how much they fought back, as they always say...
  239.
  240. Nature prevails.
  241.
  242. A bolt of lightning. And another. A whippings done to unfortunate victim. And another. The overwhelming wave of Arcane magic - and another. It was all too much to focus on anyone in particular, but the beauty- and horror- of Adjudicator's anger was painted on this battlefield like an image on canvas.
  243.
  244. Exploding ground. The swirling tornados. Constant barrage of various attacks. All of it was their pain to suffer, their fear to witness - but perhaps, amidst all of this mess, there's yet something to salvage for them. An escape, maybe?
  245.
  246. "YOU MISERABLE IDIOTS."
  247.
  248. He shouted atop his lungs, showering the land and the mist created with constant barrage of lightning- it'd seem that in his anger, the whole horizon was almost turned upside down.
  249.
  250. "YOU'LL DIE FOR YOUR TREACHERY. ALL OF YOU."
  251.
  252. "NO VIRTUE, NO QILIN, NO DIVINE - NOTHING WILL PROTECT YOU."
  253. (Arthur Rowan)
  254.
  255. "We knew you were trouble the moment you got off of that DAMNED boat." They were given a place to stay amongst their people, they were given homes, protected against the rest of the world when everyone said to kill them. "We shouldn't have ever saved your sorry asses from Tragedy. We shouldn't have ever turned Gehenna away from having your heads!" Amidst the battle, she sees nothing more than greys and blacks - her vision blinded by impossible anger, the swiveling, hollowed out occultism nulling attacks despite them being aimed at her frame.
  256.
  257. "ASTARIA! IGLETA! LEONA!...You-...You TRAITORS!" To side with the enemy after all of this time. To act as if their sins are any better than those that they're fighting against now. It is sickening, putrid. "No longer will you play all sides of the field. No longer will you enjoy your 'freedom' to roam this continent!" But even amidst her speech, even as she goes blow for blow with those around...Even she staggers with her words.
  258.
  259. "I will hunt you!" Blood. It spills past her lips amongst the transformation. Even while being suppressed...Even while being stopped by so many others...She still finds it within her will to move, breaking through restrains and magics themselves. "I will kill you!" Even as she catches those around with a swift, deadly kick...The earth itself groaning from the sickening impact.
  260.
  261. "I-..Ghnn-..AAH!! I will be your end!" Pained. But in the end, even she falters amongst her own people. The swelled pride, the chaotic wrath. No...She's had enough of these games. If people wanted to turn against them, then she would meet them at their destination. And she would be just as twisted and darkened as them.
  262.
  263. "Die." Heaving breathes- a bloodied body and yet...Despite being berated underneath their magics, her curses still linger upon the field in pained, subtle whispers.
  264.
  265. "You'll see me again. I promise.."
  266. (Bei Rowan)
  267.
  268. That was something they would know even without the promise Bei had made. That their death would come, and it would come one day soon. He doubted they'd even venture out with how afraid they were.
  269.
  270. That was alright. Everyone had a point in which they slipped, and he'd more than easily be ready to take advantage of it. Farin's fingers itched as he held onto his weapons of choice.
  271.
  272. The blood slathered steel that ripped through flesh with relative ease. Their flesh with relative ease.
  273.
  274. They all stood no chance. With the four present. It was obvious just how outclassed htey truly were.
  275.
  276. Of course there always happened to be a hiccup.
  277.
  278. Bei's anger led her to fall, the usually composed woman losing herself in all of her titanic anger. The blood of the dragons within her no doubt contributing to her irrational beehaviors.
  279.
  280. Still. Above it all they came out the better.
  281.
  282. And as usual, the hunt did proceed.
  283.
  284. In moments like these it was hard to forget that Saekanis still held a place within his heart. When the blood got pumping, when the fight was happening. He could weasel his words into the Wray.
  285.
  286. ''It'll be fun, hunting you.''
  287.
  288. His heart pumps ferociously as joy consumes him in the moment.
  289.
  290. ''I hope you three die together, ontop of one another in a pile of limbs. Together forever.''
  291.
  292. ''I could enjoy it most, then. Consuming you.''
  293.
  294. He's a simple man.
  295. Even his enemies deserve the best, don't they?
  296.
  297. Even if Farin flinches right after, reprimanding himself for his slip.
  298. (Farin Wray)
  299.
  300. "Damnit..."
  301.
  302. It was the only word that Shezmu was able to muster after being handled by those of Dawn. If anything though, the Awaret did his part.. He tried his best to protect those on his side.
  303.
  304. True as it may be that almost everyone was injured either severly or moderately.
  305.
  306. They were still living.
  307.
  308. Even the sturdy Sarradian himself suffered a brutal injury consisting of damage to his circuits from a powerful shock that he endured during the group fight.
  309.
  310. Nevertheless, a route of escape was fortunately provided to them. One that Shezmu was going to take, hopefully along with the others.
  311.
  312. "I tried my best..
  313.
  314. I did all I could..
  315.
  316. Guess I really am getting old.. "
  317.
  318. With that said, the Sarradian continued to escape from the others.
  319. (Shezmu Awaret)
  320.
  321. There was chaos amongst the battle, storms met with enormous oceans, and the furious flames of varying colors. It was nothing short of a true battlefield between mages; perhaps even the forces of nature. The earth crumbled beneath the powerful swings of the swordsmen and spores contaminated the air. A loud cry broke through the sounds of carnage to be heard. An entity flew into a nearby tree cracking it and causing the trunk of it shrapnel while the rest of it fell away to a crash that was drowned out by the sounds of battle.
  322.
  323. It was then that Eclipsa's form became clear against the tree. Blood falling from her form, and a heavy impactful blow that had struck her in the head clear; bruising forming along it. The woman struggled to move and fell backwards from the sheer amount of pain that she was feeling from the blow. She looked around at the field to see the others still in heated combat intent on fighting to their last while she gripped herself. The various colors of the battle and those fighting were present as she watched and felt the burning sensation of her star's mana. She could no longer hold onto its strength, her movement was not enough to change the tide in this battle.
  324.
  325. Even then, while she watched her eyes vision started to shift while the pain of a headache, no, a migraine struck her. A hand is raised and pressed against it as she closes her eyes and opens them shortly after. The golden hue of her pupils faded away and as she did everything was converging onto one another. The coloration of the attacks and the distance all started to close in upon her. "Noel?" The woman firstly asked trying to contact her star and yet there was no response. All the colors of the rainbow began to appear before her until finally it was all that she could see. Then.... It went black..
  326.
  327. Did I die? No... I can't die yet, I didn't have my baby, not yet.
  328.
  329. Tears began to fall down her face as it came back.
  330.
  331. Rise... Flee... Live, Rose, live.
  332.
  333. The voice of Noel rang within her head as it all came back before her. There was only grey, and nothing more. Whiles he could see their forms there was no way for her differentiate between colors anymore. Everything had become Shades of Grey and this was what she had now. The tiny woman winced as she pushed herself up from the tree. The star had spoken, and she needed to act. Her allies were losing and being defeated. They weren't winning this battle and were ultimately being pushed back. She only had a little bit of mana left. She had used everything she had, but it was not enough... It was nowhere near enough to rival them.
  334.
  335. In a flash of movement, Eclipsa appeared within the middle of the fray allowing her body to take additional damage as she pulled a rather large bomb out of her satchel. It was launched towards the ground and she reached out for Leona. Eclipsa nearly stumbled over as the pain of her head rocked against her mind, against her very body. As the bomb hit the ground there was a massive explosion of smoke that covered the area.
  336.
  337. "RUN! NOW, GO, RUN!"
  338.
  339. The woman screamed out to those that had came with her. She did not know the extent of anyone's injuries, but she did know that they would not survive if they fought until their end. All of this was to protect them, and she would do that until her own end. Saving people, taking pain in their place, and simply doing what she felt was right. It's what she lived by and what she would uphold even now. The woman rushes off alongside Leona at this point.. Through the fray of this world....
  340.
  341. Of this grey world.
  342.
  343. (Igleta Eclipsa Mariposa Zhuge)
  344.
  345. How long would the struggle persist between opposing powers? The fox himself wondered while maintaining his grace midst the chaos. Magic consumed the forest, laying waste to all that came before it, and even the nature which flows from his own command, didn't seem to persist for long before it was once again resting upon his own control to assist his allies in detaining his targets.
  346.
  347. The life which did temporarily bloom would however cling to those whom he'd come across, degrading their ability to move and making the process itself that much more easier, uncontrollable energy flashing about to burn whomever got too close, and when the opportunity presented itself the fox's flame imbued claws nicked flesh, leaving its own minor marks upon the few he'd managed to get near.
  348.
  349. When it all dies down, the adrenaline however persists, the chase within his eyes ever apparent. He hadn't a declaration towards their status, or any lingering thoughts.
  350.
  351. He knew, what to perceive from there on.
  352.
  353. "We'll get 'em.."
  354.
  355. He's sure of it.
  356. (Ludovic Grauhimmel)
  357.
  358. It was too much mana. Even for her.
  359.
  360. Astaria's meteors crashed through the battlefield, who quickly became a chaotic mess; she couldn't see much, she couldn't tell what was what. The only thing guiding her was the mana siphoning- so her first target would be the most familiar of them. Bei Rowan. A woman she's sparred countless times before, who she once viewed as an ally.
  361.
  362. And yet . . .
  363.
  364. Through the chaotic mess of the storms and the mana, so thick in the air that the Neries might as well felt like she could have breathed it - and oh, how she wanted to - a sonic boom echoed, with Astaria's staff cutting through the air. Explosions of her darkened cosmic energy would spread at each swing, with the eight knots from her staff having that overchanneled mana. Yet through the chaotic mess, she felt that none of this would be enough.
  365.
  366. It's too much. We're too overwhelmed..
  367.
  368. Her mind was foggy. Too much mana she'd siphon from all directions; what little of the grass and trees that wouldn't be outright shattered by the struggle between eight Magi would rapidly find its way to death as the Neries siphoned their nearby lifeforce. The battle seemed to pass through her eyes in flashes, looking at the faces of those she called allies nowadays and the faces she called allies years ago.. each of them known. Each of them an imprinted image in the Inquisitor's mind.
  369.
  370. An idea. A stupid one, perhaps, that she had mentioned to Hidatsu before. A glint of hope, or so she imagined- the tyrium ring on her middle finger, humming with charged mana. From the mana spread through the people and the stars themselves, Astaria started to siphon mana from the pearl-looking gem, overloading her circuitry, feeling a rush of power and adrenaline spreading through her body; her eyes widened slightly, the black pupils dilatingat the surge of mana like nothing she's ever felt before.
  371.
  372. Her previous power wasn't enough- and she'd find that the ring's mana was too much. She dashed against Arthur Rowan himself- his mana now known, distinctive, the storms and the mist, the Chaos; and though the Neries would find herself overloaded with the circuitry, she'd also find pain. Spreading through her body, burning from within. The ring had claimed lives before, it had rottened circuits, it was too much for a body to handle- even if she didn't siphon everything it'd have, it was too much pressure.
  373.
  374. Especially when she tried siphoning the lightnings from the Adjudicator.
  375.
  376. The lightning and the mana alike ravaged through the Neries' body and she felt as if her circuitry had exploded from within. It didn't- it was frying, shrinking, yet the mana forcefully flowing through a shrunk circuitry would most certainly give that impression. She fell to a knee, feeling her peripheral vision darkening, her mind clouding, traces of judgment fading away amidst the storm, the ripples of chaos, hollowed occultism and shadowflames provoked by the Rowans, which drew the most attention from her. Her body started to tremble at the notion of her circuitry being purged from within, burned and fried.
  377.
  378. A convulsion. The Neries leaned forward, blood being coughed out, splattering through the dead surrounding grass. She felt the lightning and the excessive mana still within, running through her; yet if she were to survive, she would have to fight through the pain and use it to her advantage. In any way she could. With her sight slowly darkening, she could barely tell the dizziness and shock from the smokebomb that Igleta had thrown- everything was confusing and even the sounds seemed to be muffled, distant.
  379.
  380. Well, it's not like she was running with ideas. Not with her mind like this.
  381.
  382. She channeled the excessive mana, despite feeling like her circuitry was fried and shrunk from within. It caused the Neries to scream out in pain- yet, nevertheless, it worked. She visualized her circuitry, giving each step of the process within her mind; the mana started to focus on her back, away from the injury; for a moment there, she felt like the pressure might tear a whole through her skin.
  383.
  384. It nearly did. An explosion of the siphoned mana and the cosmic gathered by the Neries came; horribly painful, but with the desired effect of producing enough kinetic force to throw her away like a ragdoll. Through the forest, well over the trees, the Neries' body fell against grass and dirt, away from Deseti, towards the swamps; shivering with the pain and the shock, Astaria slowly got up. The hunger was no longer there, only a terrible instinct to survive at any costs.
  385.
  386. One step at a time. Bleeding and burned, the Neries slowly walked through the swamps - as fast as she could, though it wasn't much - while her eyes scanned over the place, looking for her current allies and hoping.. hoping.. she wouldn't happent o stumble upon her former ones.
  387. (Astaria Rosenkreuz)
  388.
  389. A truly gruesome, and devastating force of Magi presented themselves. From the flurry of spikes, the sharpened whips of blood, the sadistic style of wind magic, and among all the various types of powerful magic. Leona herself couldn't hold herself against all of them. Not all at the same time, when she had to alternate between others, they would overwhelm her like a warm. A swarm that bit more, and more than she herself thought was originally impossible.
  390.
  391. It was Bei that soared higher than Leona could ever soar. Every strike, every blow whittled down her endurance, caused her armor to shake, and shrink as the metal bent, and as her body flew across the smoky battlefield. Every-time she attempted to gather her magic to retaliate, she would find herself cut off, and belittled in the art of combat.
  392.
  393. Throughout the entire ordeal, Leona would gaze throughout the hectic field of battle, swooping in to cover her body over her sister. Plasmatic wings that represented the will of the people, that would sacrifice itself to defend others. That's what Leona did as its wielder, shielding her sister from every attack. Spitting out blood, and groaning painfully, she prioritized the safety of Igleta, the safety of her future before hers.
  394.
  395.
  396.
  397. Eventually, the flying Mariposa would be torn down from the sky, as Farin would cleave through armor, and hit true through her body. Something unimaginable happening as her eyes widened, and agonizing screams were released, her wings literally ripped out from her back, as she descended, and fell to the ground in a cruel explosion of fire, and thunder. Her body trembled, and shook as blood ran down her forehead, she could feel an inch of her life taken away by the forces of Dawn, as she used the last bit of her energy to escape from the smoke that the younger Mariposa deployed.
  398.
  399. The defeated party would escape with their lives this day.
  400. (Leona Itheis Mariposa Zhuge)
  401.
  402. It was done.
  403.
  404. The blood, the carnage of his Storm, the screams and cries of his victims- it dulled any pain that he felt, and the only thing that drummed in his mind this entire time was the desire for more and more.
  405.
  406. 'Kill them all.'
  407. 'Show no mercy.'
  408. 'They betrayed us.'
  409.
  410. If only then, after all the fighting was done, he came back to his senses- the first, instinctive thing to be done by him was to rush to Bei's aid, considering that they made significant effort to bring down the Drakaness. No matter how much he desired blood of the traitors, there's something that he valued a lot more.
  411.
  412. That'd be her.
  413.
  414. By aiding her to get up, by resuming his own stance and straightening his back, he exclaimed to the rest that came along for the fight.
  415.
  416. "...Well done."
  417.
  418. "We're returning home."
  419. (Arthur Rowan)
