  1. The Hungry Blade [-1]
  2. * It it what it is: Weapon:3 Katana
  3. * Unbreakable: Can only be broken by very specific circumstances
  4. * One Time Discount: +1 (Shirasaya Mounting is easier concealed than full Koshirae)
  5. * The Blade Hungers:
  6. The Sword has a Hunger Track at Good (3 Stress Points) which gets filled for 1 stress whenever someone is slain with it.
  7. Once the track is filled it gains a Fate Point of its own which can be spent for The Blade that Slays or as a free Tag for
  8. the wielder for a +2 boost of swordplay. After that Fate Point is used the Hunger Track Resets.
  9. While the Hunger Track is not fully filled, the Sword also acts an additional Aspect that can be compelled, driving its
  10. wielder to feed it. This does also give the Sword a Fate Point
  11. * The Blade Slays:
  12. Using the Blade's Fate Point the Sword qualifies as the Targets Catch for one attack if the Wielder desires it.
  13.
  14. A cursed blade of unknown origin, the Hungry Blade exists for one thing alone: To claim lives.
  15.
  16. Legend has it that long ago a pale man came to the Mountains, for he had heard about the Satori Clan's skills at crafting and asked for a weapon to be made for him. A Weapon that fit him like a glove, so he could be strengthened by his foe's demise. The Satori all denied him save for one, who was so entranced by the Pale men's hunger. So he agreed to forge him a weapon if he lent his strength to the process to truly make the sword he wished for.
  17. The legend further says that the Youkai blacksmith succeeded...but then slew the man he was forging it for as final step to create the weapon he craved, calling him a fool for he had given too much of his strength to his blade and allowing the Youkai to slew him and finally cast the sword down the Mountain.
