  1. Lexi had dreamt of having superpowers for as long as she could remember. Who wouldn't? The news always reported on heroes like Superman, stopping Doomsday from destroying Earth, or the Flash rescuing children from a burning orphanage. But Lexi didn't have super powers. She couldn't fly through the air or run faster than the speed of sound. No, all she was born with was vitiligo, and the deep, inner feeling that she wasn't... right. Her parents, thankfully, were the kind who were accepting of her decision, and they signed off on allowing her to go through the long, arduous process of gender transition. That was all she needed, to start high school with everything about herself feeling wrong. It didn't help that she was also entering high school in her late teens, but least she could be herself now.

  3. Life took an upturn since beginning senior year. Her transition was in the final steps and she had found a group of friends that made her feel comfortable with herself. Then, with the arrival of a Lex Luthor from the distant future, life changed for everyone on Earth. He released nanomachines of his own design that began to grant normal humans extraordinary abilities. Lexi was one of those granted powers, just as she always dreamed! The DNA alteration from the nanomachines, along with the body chemical alteration from her hormone replacement therapy changed her form into a much more feminine one, which was something Lexi could not have predicted, but was quite happy to be subject to. Her vitiligo was still an issue, as was the unfortunate... 'thing' between her legs. However, she was in peak physical condition with the kind of abs you'd get from heavy workout regimens and a full pair of breasts that rivaled any natural, decent-sized pair on the planet.

  5. Confidence and courage were things she just recently started feeling, but once she became a metahuman; with her, new more feminine body and superpowers, the looks of desire and envy from those around her were overwhelming after years of feeling so unwanted. Paired with the disgusted or curious looks she got and the hushed giggles other girls behind her back, all the attention was almost more than she could bear. Online, however, in the place where she always felt safe, she felt bold enough to show off her lovely new body. She relished in the praise she received, the posts calling her beautiful and gorgeous. A 'modern-day Venus,' one man called her. Yet there were both positives and negatives to the information-based realm. As Lexi was She was unfamiliar with the more complex aspects of technology, which made it much less difficult for those with such knowledge to find the kind of personal information about her.

  7. This was apparent to her when one of her fans, the same that had called her a Goddess, found her address and showed up at her home. She was frightened by him even with her new-found powers. The man was overbearing, far beyond what most would consider creepy. He showed her pictures of her living her daily life, demonstrating just how long he'd been following her. Some of the pictures were from before Lex had arrived. He began to get closer to her even as she told him not to, and in a violent panic she shouted at him and threw her hands forward to gesture for him to stop. Far from being a simple gesture, what happened was that she shocked the man with a stream of electricity from her fingertips. Her would-be assailant fell into a coma, and she ran. She ran away right there, terrified of the consequences of her actions.

  9. It was then that Brainiac invaded the earth.
  10.
  11. The police, already overwhelmed by the invasion, were never able to solve the crime, especially since electricity wasn't uncommon as a power. This fueled Lexi's paranoia about the event, and in her mind the best way for her to defend herself would be to get money. Money fixes everything, after all. She worked the streets, babysat whenever she could, and stole from ATMs whenever she was sure no one was around. She found through experimentation that she could manipulate and generate electricity, but without guidance or the chance to truly test her limits, she can be seen as a ticking time bomb; superhuman clay to be molded into a heroic savior, or a villainous monster. Only time will tell if her loneliness will bring her to serve Brainiac, desperate for a place to belong, or if the kindness of others will lift her up into the heroism she has so much potential for.
