  1. Guy vs Corv
  2.
  3. Guy
  4. * For the love of god, never say anything along the lines of this: "I have no idea where this tier was supposed to be, but my team is either closer to the tier, or way above it and im a fucking idiot." Regardless of the validity of this statement, openly admitting to it is a great way to nuke your own credibility in a debate.
  5.
  6. * Nanoha does a ton of damage.
  7.
  8. * CM stronk.
  9.
  10. * Cureheart Stronk.
  11.
  12. * Corv's team sucks in comparison.
  13.
  14. * Clownmuffle cuts good, something which Corv's team won't do well against.
  15.
  16. * Clownmuffle has her vanishing which Corv can't counterplay against.
  17.
  18. * Mao has a ton of esoterics which the opposing team doesn't have any resistance to.
  19.
  20. * Brimestone's passive heat is bad and can't even hurt street-tiers or people patently weak to fire.
  21.
  22. Corv
  23.
  24. * Ryuko being a telepath basically knows what tomfuckery Guy's team can do, and also pinpoint and target weaknesses.
  25.
  26. * Guy's team sucks against piercing
  27.
  28. * Guy severely downplayed how big the arena feat was in comparison.
  29.
  30. * Brimestone doesn't suck. The Martian Manhunter scan has context Guy didn't consider and Brimestone has instances where his passiveh eat works.
  31.
  32. * Guy's team sucks against heat.
  33.
  34. * Brimestone is also just strong.
  35.
  36. * Aku does an awful lot of things.
  37.
  38. * Guy's team sucks.
  39.
  40. * Guy's team to execute their strongest stuff need to work together in a way that assumes they know what the others do.
  41.
  42. Guy
  43.
  44. * The mind-reading is probably fake and even if it wasn't, it's pretty slow.
  45.
  46. * Ryuko's ranged attacks and speed boost is fake.
  47.
  48. * The arena feat sucks.
  49.
  50. * Ryuko's durability sucks.
  51.
  52. * At best, Brimestone's passive heat is inconsistent and he sucks.
  53.
  54. * Aku's in-character response to fighting is pretty shit and his powers aren't great to begin with.
  55.
  56. * Shigaraki is too squishy and his attacks are self-defeating to his team if he does them.
  57.
  58. Corv
  59.
  60. * The mind read takes place in real time.
  61.
  62. * Clownmuffle doesn't only think about things that won't be useful for the other team to know.
  63.
  64. * Ryuko can still cut regardless.
  65.
  66. * Ryuko's ranged slashes work.
  67.
  68. * Ryuko can just cut her opponent's.
  69.
  70. * Brimestone good
  71.
  72. * Aku Good
  73.
  74. Conclusion:
  75.
  76. I think Guy takes this solidly. Excusing the initial blunder at the beginning which could have been absolutely catastrophic if this debate had more points of contention that I was simply sitting on the fence on. The thing here is that Guy had helped solidly convince me that Aku and Brimestone were just bad picks, and Ryuko was probably Corv's MVP. The issue is, even with all of her best assumed traits being true, she simply cannot handle what is effectively a 3 v 1.
  77.
  78. A few blunders on Corv's part is that Aku generally just seems to be terrible for this tier. His in-character responses to combat are pretty bad, and there's only a handful of things he does which are actually in tier.
  79.
  80. Brimstone at his best is inconsistent to what he does, and at his worst, he is like Aku, simply useless relative to the tier.
