I would first suggest that in a grand finals setting, the  tone and inflection needs to hype things up. I'm not against the walk he talks and says "this is gonna be a close game" but he just sounds calm, doesn't have anything to look forward to, he doesn't have a player to look out for, a secret weapon that may tip the scales, and that would honestly make the game a little more exciting to watch if the casters are excited for something. It's hard to have planned anything given it was grand finals and these guys are inexperienced, but it would be good for each caster to have something to root for from either team so that in the way they talk about the team they favor, we get a sense of "it's gonna be a close match" rather than them telling us as viewers that it's gonna be close
Assuming the guy who didn't talk as much pregame is murkscribe, he's doing great on the pbp on last. I mostly say that because I like the sound of fast and coherent talking
Assuming beelthazus was the calm sounding guy in pregame, his color / analysis is also really good so far

This is minor and I don't know how it would ever come up again but it's worth sharing: when he mentions "engineer of engineer mains in platinum highlander" he follows up with "which not a lot of people know." I think a better thing to say would be "which might come as a surprise; he's actually very talented on engineer"

I realize the phrase "talented as engineer" is kind of unprofound, and even simplistic to boast about, but I just don't like the phrase "which not a lot of people know" since it doesn't have any depth or impact in describing something about a player. Why do I as a viewer care about how many people know he plays engineer in highlander, y'know? It's really not a big deal but I hope maybe this advice can somehow be used in other areas for future casting, to avoid saying things that have no meaning or value
After the first round win, I love the chemistry of him immediately saying "thoughts?" followed immediately by his cocaster saying "patience is a virtue." That was A+ cohesion, those kind of interactions really sell the relationship of the cocasters, that they're in sync

While I like near the end of the first map when whatshisname chimes in on the medic ubersaw force thing saying "incredible! That was insaaane!" it turned into an awkward silence. Kudos to the other guy being quiet so that the guy who said "insane!" could continue talking, but then he went back to being quiet so that his cocaster could continue the pbp. I think even if you're color/analysis whatever you should have some coherent response to take over when you chime in like that. Continue the pbp yourself, or immediately go into hyped up or hysterical analysis like "why did that work?!?"
This way, your cocaster can be passed the baton to continue doing pbp and there's no awkward silence.

Just want to clarify there's a major difference between noticeably awkward silences (like that one) and dead air that just kind of sits right before the action. I may be wrong and the only one who likes it, but I think of it as the calm before the storm and not as awkward. It's all situational of course

Also just a small thing I forgot to post when I heard it, sometimes it's okay to say it but whenever I hear "absolutely" after someone just finishes a thought, all I can think is 'you weren't listening at all were you?' It's probably the worst thing to say right after your cocaster finishes, but that's mostly dependent on the inflection. If it's an excited "oh, absolutely..." it doesn't sound at all like a filler word

At first I liked the diversity of things like "most definitely" but it becomes noticeable over time. Alternative responses are "for sure," "no kidding," ~"definitely,"~ (lol I wrote definitely as an alternative for most definitely) etc.
It's important to change it up, even if it's explicitly cycling through a list of synonyms (edited)
