- New Scenario 2-19: Intimidation.
- If you don't have Not-Mio, pretend that you do.
- It's day sixty-eight of your journey. After arriving in a small inn, appropriately shabby for village it roots in, the day seemed fair and calm for once. The town seemed safe, with the worst problem being an infestation of do-nothing oni on a mountain far off, so you basically spent the day asleep on one of the most uncomfortable beds you’ve ever had the experience of using. <skip ahead, skip ahead> GIANT SPIDER BATTLE!!! ( ಠ_ಠ) Not-Mio never mentioned this, but apparently she’s tried, and failed, to deal with the infestation of the mountain in the past. She thought after nearly a year, they’d forgotten about her. She was wrong, and now you (plus party) are fighting in a rice field at 2 in the morning, to recover your friend who’s bound suggestively in the webbing of a twelve foot tall spider woman. A very powerful spider woman at that, who’s the mother of the weak infestation.
- The fight's going terribly. This monster’s extremely large and much stronger than anyone you’ve ever had to face. <skip ahead, skip ahead> HOLY SHIT SHE’S CRUSHING NOT-MIO! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ This thing seemed so cautious when it saw you (and your party) chasing her, but at this point, she just turned careless to the situation. Seeing as her only real goal was to kill Not-Mio, she just sort of ignores you (guys) even though the fight’s not over; though, the way you’re laying across the ground, it sure looks like it. NOW'S YOUR CHANCE! Think of something before Not-Mio is crushed!
- What do you say what do you do?
- (Hint hint: This is one of those moments when your other two friends would be very helpful.)
- New Scenario Informational Post: ONE MORE SCENARIO.
- [Note: The Scenarios were expanded in the future, here are actually more scenarios to come.]
- Well, it took seventy-one days and more than one-hundred enemies, but you (and hopefully your party) have made it into the mountains that the ambiguous black figure took your wife to. As you (plus party) travel, a huge castle is discovered in the distance. Surely, this must be your destination. Slowly, you open the large and unprotected doors, cautious of the unknown, only to discover the most unusual sight. It’s hard to understand, but the inside is this weird mesh of machinery, wires, basic animatronics, and metallic pipes stretching a distance disproportional to the castle you entered. The closest thing you can compare this to was the core from last time, but while the last plain was a semi-organic, this place feels lifeless, and somehow even more disturbed despite the lack of fleshy imagery.
- As you (plus group) wonder the strange path of metal, occasionally avoiding a stray mechanical limb reaching for your leg, you hear the voice of an older sounding woman; echoing in the distance with an expressiveness as dead as her surroundings. “Do you like the place, darling? I’m deciding on some new themes. Something more serious. I can always change it if you want however.”
- Your wife then breaks into the conversation, and announces, “Husband! Don’t be scared! I know you can take her!”
- “Silence yourself!”
- There’s a pinging like noise in the distance, and a quick cranking sound, before Kikue’s eventually silenced. Looks like you may actually have an enemy after all.
- (Despite the overall dread you’re feeling, Chris the Zombie finds the place strangely interesting. Laurence however doesn’t like it, because despite how modernized the place is, HE STILL CAN’T FIND A GUN! Not-Mio feels a bit different though. As a non-person, she’s been through the plain of existence for an unknown number of times; the place may be completely changed, but there’s a strange and indescribable familiarity that she has with it. Almost as if it was…home.)
- New Scenario [NOT] Series Final: Scenario 2-20: The true Empress of Not-Asia.
- RECAP
- After being forced into a marriage with an inter-dimensional Kitsune, the castle that you were being wed at (and your future home) was bombed, and your wife was stolen. As a result of the attack, most of your friends and family were either seriously injured, or killed. With literally no other options, you set out with two of your friends, and a former partner to save your wife. it's not that you care about her or anything, but if there's anyone that could make things better, it's her. You also have suspicions that she caused this entire thing to happen, because she supposedly controls what happens in Not-Russia (where you are trapped). After seventy-one days of traveling, you finally find where she was "taken", which turns out to be a mechanized core. An unknown voice then greets you as you enter the location.
- CHARACTERS
- YOU: The unfortunate main protagonist. On Earth, you’re an unlucky nobody, but in Not-Europe, you’re a hero with a darn good sword.
- Kikue: Ruler/demi-god kitsune of Not-Europe and your wife. She has a tendency to cause wars and then reset Not-Europe to repeat the war...but with slightly changed circumstances and new character roles. She’s also a magician in your world.
- Not-Mio: Your first party member, and the 6th greatest bounty hunter of Not-Europe. She uses a twin Katana method of fighting.
- Laurence Jefferson: A childish complainer who seems to have a familiar tendency of attracting men... also the second member of your party. He's terrible at improvising, and would much rather use a gun and just shoot the enemies of Not-Europe; sadly, guns don't exist in Not-Europe. His weapon is a crossbow with a maximum distance of 175 meters, and he makes a surprisingly sharp shot.
- Chris the Albino: Your third member of your party. He has a horrible tendency of making situations worse and will often get you into more trouble than you would have if you were without him. His weapon of choice is a cursed demonic club that he stole and you had to pay for. The effects of the club are unknown. Also, he was zombified and has a stoner craving for flesh. His durability remains unknown.
- SCENARIO
- As you (and your party) zero in on where you first heard the voice, it returns to help guide you. "Yes. Keep walking my precious solver", says the unknown female with a chilling allure. You close in gradually to her location, and as the distance decreases, so too does the wiring and gadgets that covered every step of your path. Eventually, you’re able to walk on natural land, though the walls and ceiling remain mechanized. It’s then that you see her.
- Waiting casually on a rock by a stream, is another kitsune, but unlike your wife Kikue, she appears to be much older, and much more “developed”, sporting four tales, a disturbingly foxish face as opposed to Kikue’s mask, and a hair color of silver. Her outfit is a very traditional kimono, as opposed to the plain gowns, or street clothes you’ve seen Kikue sport, and the air around her has this thick atmosphere of apathy, and decay.
- "Well", says the mysterious creature, "you made it here much sooner than expected. I assumed you'd be wondering around here for at least another hour."
- You don't recognize this person in the slightest, and despite her oddly capturing beauty, you don't care. You just want to find Kikue, slap her a few times, and force her to make things better. With this in mind, you were going to ask the very obvious, "Where's Kikue?" but you’re interrupted by the muffled sound of a high pitched, animal-like yelp from above the ceiling.
- "Oh how rude of me," responds the kitsune, to the mysterious voice.
- A cranking sound is then heard as a slot opens from the ceiling and a cage begins to lower containing a small fox that looked more dead than alive. You were certain that was Kikue.
- You’re confused, and a little intimidated at the sight. You almost have the phrase, “Who are you?" escape your mouth, but as usual, you fail to deliver the line. The look on your face appropriately causes her to chuckle.
- "You’re an awfully quiet man. I’m sure you’re in need of a introduction however. Yes?...Well then, my name is Ayaka Yoshizawa, eldest sibling of Kikue Yoshizawa.”
- She pauses for a moment to examine you further, before giving a small laugh.
- “Hard to believe that my younger sister managed to find such a worthy solver before me. I'm older, wiser, more powerful, and ‘far’ more beautiful than she could ever be. I'm the TRUE ruler of all of Not-Asia, yet I have no husband to speak of. It's simply not fair."
- The raggedy fox that is Kikue looks at you with desperation, but says not a word.
- "I don't usually play games as much as my sister.” says Ayaka with a smirk. “She’s childish, creating nonsense stories with blossoming clouds, and “an-i-me” protagonist, but I’ll make an exception, and create a scenario, just for you." A door shaped portal soon opens far into the distance of where she sits. It looks just like the portal you used to escape last time, but it’d take far too long to just sneak on through.
- “This portal heads back to the real world. My last mate bound me to Not-Asia, so if you can get through there, you can escape. (The same applies to your two “real world” friends, but not /my/ world’s creation, Not-Mio.) That's your first option. OPTION TWO: Unwed Kikue and become my husband. I promise to bring your friends and family to full health and allow all of them to leave. You however, will stay as my husband; forever. A most glorious option if I do say so myself. YOUR LAST OPTION, fight me: Successfully defeat me, and Kikue could most likely bring things the way they were. I must warn you though, I won’t hesitate to open you with a blade. So what's it going to be hero?"
- You might be able to take her (especially with a team backing you up). She may be magic, but the powers of this world come from the core, not her...right? What about Kikue, and your family? Can Kikue even help in this?
- What do you say, what do you do?
