45. Bruce Greenwood stars as documentary photographer Thomas Veil who, in the course of one evening, seemingly has his whole existence erased, in the compelling one-hour drama Nowhere Man. It appears as if some mysterious and powerful entity has coerced Veil's family and friends into cooperating in a clandestine plan to annul every trace of him. Veil is all alone with no option but to begin a desperate, dangerous quest to find out how and why this has happened and most importantly, who is behind this torturous scheme.
 46. This series sticks out as one of the best sci - fi mystery series ever aired. Unfortunately it aired on the UPN network during it's early years, and died in the ratings.

Not since THE PRISONER has a series left me saying "What the F..." every time I saw it. Imagine a world where you're identity, career, family, and finances disappear in the time it takes to go to the bathroom. Then imagine there's no one in the world you can never truly trust. (Especially if they smoked cigars).

Part of the story revolved around a photograph Thomas veil took as a war photographer. The picture of 4 men, executed by hanging, was about to be displayed to the public as part of Veil's first major photo exhibit. The photo had a lot of hidden meaning. It's origins weren't ever what Veil thought they were - Even though he took the photo himself. (Or did he?)

The pilot movie was directed by Tobe Hooper, and was considered by many reviewers to be a minor classic.

The series had an ending of sorts - Which I won't reveal that made some sense. But all in all the series could have lasted longer than the one season it ran. I, for one, miss it.
 47. Almost two decades after The Prisoner and just before The X Files Nowhere Man drops. And It did drop because it was not just a homage but it went truly out there blazing it's own path. I'm pretty miffed this isn't a better known and loved show. It's awfully tasty. It has a great lead in Bruce Greenwood. It has spirited writing which takes chances and is really sharp. The premise of you no longer have a life like the one you've become comfortable in is excellent and deserves an update to which I find Nowhere explores it as an arc but with each week building on that arc. I've watched the series straight through several times now and find given enough space between viewings it gets better. I love the unabashed parallels to The Prisoner in the fifth episode of season one, but recommend the entire run for maximum entertainment. Greenwood really hasn't been better.
