Rath extra scene

[If Rathazul is in camp, and you talk to him after getting the black goo in the Bazaar]

You approach Rathazul, who's working on his alchemical creations, to show him what you found in the Bazaar and see if he can shed some light on what it actually is. The rat jumps when you call him, having been clearly engrossed in his business, before turning to face you.

"Ah, [player], it's you" he says, before pausing for a second to catch his breath from the scare you gave him "We really need to talk about your habit of suddenly appearing behind people's backs."

You chuckle, and bring the goo you found on the Bazaar out of your pouch. His eyes widen, opening up further and further as you tell him where and how you got it. By the time you get to the part where you ask him to research it, his eyes are as wide as saucers.

"[player] I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. This is fantastic!" he shouts. You ask why he is so excited, at least compared to how he is normally.

"Why?! You have brought me, an alchemist, a never-before-seen material! Think of the possibilities this little glob brings!"
You ask if that means he'll investigate just what it is exactly.

"Yes, of course I will! When I have results, you will be the first to know and benefit from them!"

Nodding, you leave the old man to his excitement. You think you may have brought a bit of light to his world.
