- [13:46] Hoisting a large pouch of gold coins, Boreas entered the Waystone Tavern only escape moments later with a large frozen gemstone that was wrapped in a finely woven cloth.
- Buckling it to his back, Boreas moved forward, striding through the calm embrace of the morning star as his journey would lead him back towards the mountain.
- However, an interesting individual stuck out to him. A man, perhaps forgotten to time, stood before the deck. Watching those who casually walked by.
- "Beautiful morning isn't it?" he called from way below. Approaching the man from the side as he walked up it's steps. Passing through a small crowd before finding himself standing beside them.
- "This seat isn't taken is it?" Smiling, he gestured to see if he could take a seat besides them. "My name is Boreas by the way."
- (Boreas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:57] Amadeus let his eyes wander around the place of the waystone. He wore a pair of casual clothes, that of a long sleeved shirt, covering the metallic arm on his right.
- His eyes were never lost, nor his person as he let the day go by, the day to day of being around Esshar weighting little on him before he heard the voice of a young man speaking to him.
- It was none other then Boreas, a Dragonlord, yet his red eyes stared at him, seemingly listening towards the boy. He didn't stop him from sitting, but he'd make a point of it. "I don't own this place, you're free to sit."
- He'd come to scratch as the beard that he was once again growing, stubbles for the moment, but looking to sigh before looking off to the side towards the young man.
- (Amadeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:06] Worse for wear, Boreas stood the side, unable to view the individual properly as his sight was still blurred out from the most recent battle. Though he could only make out vivid shapes in the ones that surrounded him, he could still sense who most familiar faces were.
- "Thank you." he welcomed, carefully stepping around to sit beside the Elder man as he unbuckled the gemstone and set it aside between his legs.
- "Just made a major purchase today." he thought outloud, "A quite daring purchase if I do say so myself. I hope it'd be worth something... But the issue is, in my settlement there isn't any artificer's left." he sighed shortly afterwards. Almost dreading the very thought.
- "A huge conflict broke out between the two and now my settlement has fallen..."
- Shaking his head from side to side, he smiled.
- "Though, things must be broken. Before they can take form and become something great again."
- (Boreas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:18] "Hmph, so I can assume you're apart of the Fireblooded. Or at least of what was left of it. If anything, you just so happen to be talking to an artificer."
- It was rather lucky of him to be talking to Amadeus as he was out and about. Yet, the man seemed to see that item he spoke about, raising an eyebrow all the while.
- "You said you made a rather major purchase. What was it?"
- (Amadeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:28] At their attention, Boreas couldn't help but smile at their call.
- It wasn't hard enough for anyone to tell that he was apart of mountain, much less a someone who held a grandiose title that he never wanted; but given due to his call to arms and effort he gave towards the Fireblooded.
- "Heh, that obvious huh? Well, I recently became Dragonlord and now I feel this huge weight on my shoulders..." his voice dissipated with the wind. Wishing that there was another to take his position, but even the Ebonblooded knew that he was the only one just enough to take upon such a burden.
- "So I've been trying to create a weapon for myself.. To help protect my people and if I'm being honest.." He turned, pulling a piece of the cloth as it's fine wrapping dropped from the elegant gemstone. Picking it up with both of his hands to turn it towards them.
- "This is what I bought, the description the vendor gave me was something else if I'm being honest. However, to find someone to be able to forge this into what I'd like?" a short laugh escaped.
- "I believe there's only a few artificers in the world that are able to complete such a feat." Showing the recent purchase towards the man. Boreas smiled, "Perhaps maybe you would be daring enough to take on this task- Oh! Speaking of which, I found a flyer around here some time. A man by the name of Amadeus.
- They said that they were looking for some Tyrium. To make something that was old and forgotten. Hopefully if you know them, maybe you can ask what they plan to bring back? I was hoping if it could help in what I want to be made." Though, the odds of that wouldn't be in his favor. Would it?
- (Boreas)
- [14:46] Amadeus rose an eyebrow, but it came up to laugh loudly, hearty too.
- "Well you are talking to him over all. And I'm pretty sure I can take this...Crystal of ice and dark into make something for you. Though, I merely need to know what you want to make. I've been a Artificer since I was late into my young adult years. But, if anything. I am in search of Tyrium for a project of mine, bringing an old material back.
- Yet you say you want to have a weapon capable of protecting your people. You can do that with any weapon, be it a stick or the mightiest sword. What you want is a sword to take up the physical representation of your will for your city."
- Amadeus looked towards the item that Boreas spoke of, the weapon itself look like a spear? No, a mace? Maybe. Though from the chains and more, the weapon seemed to show use of Tyrium. Yet the older man seemed to touch it, only to feel the energy being sucked out of him, normal as it were.
- "Hm, well if anything if you have Tyrium for sale I'll buy it, but if you want to have your weapon made I can do that now. If anything I might have an idea for it over all with what you've shown me."
- (Amadeus)
- [14:58] "Oh?"
- Taken aback by the strange twist of fate, Boreas could only smile at the realization that came before the two.
- "Well then, seems like fate willed it for us two to meet here didn't it?" his lips tugged into a wider smile, laughing at himself to the strange coincidence about the entire situation.
- "It's actually an axe believe it or not." he corrected with a smirk. "Different from what the usual magi prefers. However, I'm more of a spellcaster than one who embraces the brute strength of armed techniques. But the idea is to create a bond with the Axe to be able to recall it whenever I wish." The amount of heirlooms that were stolen and never returned never ceased to amaze him. "But to hold a weapon to represent the will of the mountain?" Boreas turned to the sky, wondering if such a thing could happen. "Of the Dragons? Could you really do something like that?" Questioning if the Elder was truly capable of creating such a weapon.
- He heard about the possibility of such could happen with several methods, however he didn't know where to even start on his own.
- "I wouldn't mind giving you the amount of Tyrium I have as well, though I'm curious about this idea you have. Would you care to follow me into the mountains?"
- (Boreas)
- [15:07] Amadeus was fine with the lot of everything, though to be invited to the mountains? He seemed to tilt his head. Though his eyes seemingly looked over the boy before sighing.
- "I can make the weapon without much of an issue. Yet isn't your group of people all about a fire? I myself am very true to that, but you're asking for a weapon of frost, of cold. But, if it is your will, then I cant really deny you that luxury. But yes. I can make it a way for you to call back your woman when you should choose without much issue."
- The thought about using Tyrium to do something like that was already on Amadeus' mind. After all, Tyrium and Adamantite could do that with a collar and a remote. So, it should be possible to make something like that with the two with ease. But he'd come to follow the young man.
- (Amadeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:23] A laugh escaped the Dragonlord's maw with a flurry of ice.
- "You're an interesting one Amadeus, I'm glad to have met you today. You surely are different from the most, and have the humor and wisdom that many lack in this era."
- Appreciative, he didn't waste any time to bring Amadeus towards the mountain where the Fireblooded live. Ascending the mountains to finally reach into the base of his home.
- "Despite the majority of our religion, I mostly worship Jormungandr. Though, I do pay my respects to Garljing and make sacrifice towards them every so often. Can't be much of a Dragonlord if I didn't pay my respects towards the god on top of the mountain."
- Throwing Amadeus a playful wink, Boreas moved towards his chest to pull forth a line of items he managed to collect over the years.
- "Hopefully you'll be able to make use of these items." Moving to grab his weaponry before presenting ittowards Amadeus.
- (Boreas)
- [15:42] Amadeus looked along the pieces of items that the young man had. There were lots of items to take note of, yet the sight of it all seemed to show him that he was rather adventurous, or wealthy since he just bought something.
- The man looked at three specific thing, the Gemstone he recently purchased, the shard of ice and some Blue Mercury. With the fact that Tyrium and the weapon itself he had prior would be added it would all make sense.
- "Alright. This wouldn't take much as I thought. With that staff you have I can make something relatively attuned to your magic. But...I want to test something from my project ideas on the weapon you want. It will help me understand a little more of what I can do. And from old text I've come to see in my earlier days. Though, know its nothing like a ritual or giving your soul up or something of the sort. You'll be fine....mostly."
- With that, Amadeus looked at the young man, then back at the items with amild glare for what was there;
- Two Dragon's Teeth
- Blue Mercury
- A Shard of ice
- A Cold Gemstone
- Tyrium
- And a Rigs Rattle.
- With all of these materials, he should be able to make something snappy in a relatively calm manner.
- "If we make this now, then you'll need to help me with it."
- (Amadeus)
- [16:01] A series of items were placed on display.
- A couple of dragons teeth, items of worth and acknowledgement that are only bestowed by the very mythical creatures who only give their scales or teeth to those they find are worthy.
- Blue mercury, an ore that's liquid in nature and highly conductive towards his knowledge, a potential item that would aid in the elements of his natural affinity.
- The shard of ice, that was able to withstand the heats of Garljing's flames and never melt.
- A cold Gemstone that no other with a touch of darkness in it's heart.
- Tyrium and the rattle he received from the mutant from Shadowmire, the king of Rhymes, Rigs.
- A smile tugged at his lips as he placed everything away, he moved forward with Amadeus. Willing to move forward with the process.
- "Let's get started then, no reason to delay what can be done now after all."
- (Boreas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [16:16] Amadeus nodded, yet with the two of the process shouldn't take that long. With the items in hand, Amadeus took the rattle and grabbed the skull, slowly ripping it off, specially the Tyrium around it so removing the actual skull was far easier.
- "This skull isn't needed. But the bone and Nyshek here will help with balancing weapon for the entire thing. If anything...."
- He looked towards the boy, waving him closer.
- "Do you know of an exercise where you create a ball of mana and throw it? It was popular in Starfall in my youth."
- (Amadeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [16:24] The jerking moment was rather, unexpected. The trained professional moved forward, hoisting the rattle from the rug to yank it's skull off after giving it a keen look. Observing it's structure for it's intricate craft before deducing what could be done and how it would be utilized towards it's most potential.
- Deeming that the Rattle would be useful for it's already crafted staff with clear instructions of what could be used after the 'rattle' of the staff would be torn from it's shaft. Boreas moved with Amadeus's call.
- "Manaball you call it right?" he called with a satisfying grin at the oddity of their craftsmenship. "I didn't have during my time of my attendance, nor did I truthfully join the Academy, but there were several items that I required from the Academy like Manaball gauntlets I've come to collect and utilized for my own fun." Smiling, the method was simple.
- Joining Amadeus at their beckoned call, he rose his palm outwards as his mana circuits from within churned towards his will. Azul artic wings unfolded from his rear, beating against the surrounding, expelling northern winds with each stroke before expanding towards his sides.
- The room of the room was slowly falling, reaching a near critical point as his very presence, along with the unmalting ice that laid upon the rug started to freeze the surroundings. Coating every item in the room with a thin veil of ice that would only harden and increase the longer the two stayed within the small house.
- Willing it to be, a manifestation of mana conjured before his palm. A raw, controlled orb of mana appeared before the two as it grew into the size of his torso.
- Managing to bring forth an ball of mana of such a feat wasn't an easy task that most could accomplish, especially when holding it in a tamed matter. Showing the years of dedication and usage that he's harnessed to accomplish what most could never do.
- "Also, I've been creating a bond with an egg I've come across. Will that have any changing affects?"
- Turning with his free hand, he pointed towards the Wyvern egg in the corner, resting ontop of a pedestal.
- (Boreas)
- [16:35] Amadeus looked towards the young man as he forced a ball of his mana out, only to feel the man flick his forehead.
- "You don't need to go showing off. recead the mana you have back into your body. I need you to preform something."
- When the ball shrunk as he told him, Amadeus took a few chunks of Tyrium and fused them together to make a rather medium size chunk of that metal, already being drained from something small like that. Tyrium was a dangerous thing.
- Amadeus placed that medium sized chunk against Boreas' palms, making that ball of mana disappear but soon enough told him what to do as he felt that energy slowly being sucked away.
- "Try to flow your mana through the ore. DO NOT STOP, by any means. If you do, you'll die. Keep it in a nice and steady flow"
- (Amadeus)
- [17:02] Chuckling idly, Boreas recalled the immense size of the mana orb into a more condensed shape. Molding it to his will as he rubbed his forehead from the flick of the elder.
- "Of course, of course."
- The performance was something he's never witnessed before. Blue serpentines watching as Amadeus molded a few chunks of Tyrium together into a large state of itself.
- Already, the pull was magnified from his essence, the compacted sized conjuration pulled away from him. Absorbed into the chuck of Tyrium as his instincts told him to back away.
- "I'm surprised that your able to mold that ore so casually Amadeus." he laughed off, shyly trying to make up for the clear dislike of him having anything to do with it.
- Upon their words, Boreas could only stare on. Wondering if they were serious about their call, as time passed on, they were.
- Regrettably, he stepped forward. Moving towards the ore as the flow of mana seeped through his hands. The fatal warning was grandiose as his life was nearly on the line.
- Biting back in pain, his wings flared outwards, expanding wide as he pressed his hand firmly onto the ore as his mana was pulled from his essence.
- Hissing with pain, his free hand grabbed onto his wrist as he continued to feed his mana into the chunk of ore. Feeling his very self losing towards the chunk of metal. Every passing second, he felt himself getting weaker and weaker. A biting sensation penetrating his body as veins budged at his wrists.
- (Boreas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:26] Amadeus looked towards Boreas, yet the older man started to watch the ore , letting the blue colorization slowly phase into something 'purplish' yet the man grabbed the ore from the boy, placing it on the nearby table with a rather tough look on his face.
- There was no need for apology, yet he seemed to point towards a nearby chair.
- "Go rest, you need to do that again after a little while. Its for the bettering of your weapon."
- With that out of the way, Amadeus seemed to work on the axe's core or rather it's pole. With the items he offered, Aamdeus grabbed the old weapon's staff and started to use a bit of pocket iron to make a nail, poking into Nyshek and Bone mixture to mark where the blade will entered.
- Even for the weapon to be used for a Magi, it will have it's bladed part entered there before the man motioned that nail along the outside, on a different side to make a fitting for that Gemstone, but made it slightly bigger then the gemstone itself as he used it for visual conformation.
- Once the fitting was made he double checked to make sure it was still close. It was a very simple task, but he'd come to grab the newly purchased Gemstone and a bit of blue mercury. Not to mention some Blue Mercury, where as he held the staff, he held it down, letting his hand coat in metallic embrace from the iron, letting the man heat up his metallic hand to let the metal melt down , creating a small pool of itself, molten before shard was pushed inside of it, instantly freezing it and turning it solid once more, locking it into place, but allowing the staff to be a little more balanced in the wake, not to mention still actively chilling the staff for the young man.
- "One part down....two to go."
- (Amadeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:41] The seething pain burned throughout his core.
- Boreas's pale skin beamed red as he felt the ore continously absorb his essence, drawing him into a center as the two continued with their new acts of material.
- Continously pouring everything he had into the chunk of Tyrium in fear that it would kill him.
- Instantly, the ore was snatched away. A connection still lingering with ethereal ties connected him towards the chunk in a spiritual manner. As he poured his mana continously into the chunk. Feeding it until Amadeus believed it was time to stop.
- Taken from him as a chance of rest was given. Coming to a pause, he moved towards the nearby chair to rest, gathering his breath while beads of sweat fell from his visage. Falling as his chest rose and fell against the weight of the chair. Resting as curious eyes barely managed to see what Amadeus was working on.
- "I'm... That hurt like..." he gasped, surprised that he wasn't nearly unconscious due to the amount of exposure he held to such a devilish material.
- "I'm surprised.." he sighed, grabbing onto the back of the chair with both arms to rest against it. "Let's take a breather for part two and three... Don't you think?" he suggested. "Unless you want to continue of course." The choice would be left to Mutes, either to stop and continue after he gathered his breath. Or if they should continue for now.
- (Boreas)
- [00:28] Time was spared, a break was given.
- "It's time to get back to work isn't it?"
- A smile breaks through his visage. Nervous as ever seeing how they only just started with the materials he gathered for such a creation. A mold was already in place, and Amadeus was waiting at a moments notice in order to finally bring the axe into existence.
- They just needed to complete two more stages and it'll be set.
- "Alright.. So no more near death experiences right?" he joked, nervously edging closer as the project had only just started.
- (Boreas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:38] Amadeus looked towards Boreas after hours given to him for rest for his mana circuits. However, the young man would get just a shake of his head.
- "I need you to do it again, but it should get easier if you try to 'focus' your mana into the Tyrium, not trying to just pump it full of Mana, but try to connect with it passively. It wont be easy, but it will get easier as you do it.
- We need to do two more parts. Creating the axe, and finishing work,"
- (Amadeus)
- [01:00] His calm demeanor broke the instant his joke was met with a stern no.
- Dread crossed his face as the near death experience returned once more. Sighing heavily as his head shook side to side. "So instead of recklessly pouring mana into the chunk of Tyrium you created. I should create a bond with it. Connecting with it passively until a proper tether is created between us." he summarized with a shrug of his shoulders. Rolling them as he prepared himself mentality for the task that sat before him.
- "The Denfather aided me in something similar believe it or not, it had to do with the draconic egg that I have." he breathed. Knowing that the room was far below temperatures of zero by now. Freezing over the very room and keeping it as a frozen wonderland.
- "Alright.. It's better than nothing." he smiled nervously, stepping forward into the frozen light as he extended his palm forward.
- As his frame neared thechunk, the blocky material of deep purples and even deeper blue shown towards him. Pulsating with the mana he fed it earlier, vibrating with a deathly glow as the anti-magic rock stared back at him. Slowly, it's pull could be felt before his hand even touched the chunk.
- Pressing his hand against it's rigid formation, he felt it bite against him. Striking his leylines as the paining sensation erupted within his very core again. Biting back, his free hand grabbed at his forearm once again. Trying to control his mana output as the chunk continued to pull from him in an aggressively rate.
- The nature of his mana already rested within, making it easier for him to connect with the chunk of material itself. The practice he's been giving with creating a bond with the draconic aided in the very process he was attempting. Instead of filling the ore with his essence alone. Giving along with what it took, he aided the process willingly. Concentrating into the partof him that condensed within the finely tuned chunk. Pouring his mana into it as veins pulsated through his skin. Riddling his arms while veins popped at his visage.
- Sharply sucking in the air, he felt a biting pain at his leylines. A seething sensation crawl through his body as he welcomed the pain that pressed against him aggressively.
- Continously fueling the mound itself, there was a missing feeling that lingered within. The more he concentrated on the ore, the more he felt himself edging closer to the connection. Minute by minute, he felt himself nearing that connection that he suffered with. Managing to take a hold of the separate entity he created within the chunk, feeling a faint connection being built through the burning pains that continued to penetrate his soul.
- Stars filled his view as he dug continued connection with the chunk, deepening the bond that would be made as a connective flow began to regulate between the two. Almost as if a fluid connectionflowed back and forth, refining the edge the two became to share.
- (Boreas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [01:24] Amadeus watched in surprise by the amount of mana he was trying to function with the weapon. However, Amadeus took the ore out of his palms the moment he saw his veins popping and moving with how much he was giving in.
- "That's enough for now Boreas. you can do it again tomorrow. You seem weak still. If anything you can get some rest and we will finish this up in the morning"
- (Amadeus)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [03:43] With the connection finally growing into fruition, Amadeus's words resonating in his mental as he finally created the bond between him and the chunk of ore. Refining it before resting it to the side with a laborious breath.
- "Yeah.. Sounds good Amadeus, thanks again.." mummering weakly with the bit of strength he held left. "Until then."
- (Boreas)
