  1. This file contains information about @masodikbela's InGame Wikipedia for Metin2.
  2.
  3. ############
  4. # About me #
  5. ############
  6.
  7. My name is Béla a.k.a. masodikbela from Hungary, I'm a 18 years old young man and I'm working with mt2 since 2008, and making systems for it for 2 years now.
  8. I have some public content on metin2dev.org (with my masodikbela account), like tradehouse, reload commands, and some "expand XY" things.
  9.
  10. Let me clear that I don't need anybody's money at all cost. I want to make good trades that worth both of us. I want to be straight and hones to all of you
  11. (and I expect the same from you too) so I will try to give as much information as I can about this system, to help you decide that if you want to buy this,
  12. or not. Also I try to support the system with as much help as possible, like answering questions in the begining and helping setting it up, doing quickfixes,
  13. updates and so on maintenance jobs after you've bought it.
  14.
  15. In the other case, I hate when people try to resell other's work, refund the money, or leak it to the public, so please don't do that, and if you see it on
  16. a forum, let me know about it.
  17.
  18. ######################
  19. # Basic information #
  20. ######################
  21.
  22. This is an "add-on" for Metin2 private servers based on 40k(source files).
  23.
  24. You will receive the following content when you buy it:
  25. - C++ codes for client and server with a complete how-to guide (this means you may need to edit the source of your client and server)
  26. - Python codes for client with a complete how-to guide (root part)
  27. - The "redbase" image I made
  28. - A python dynamic library (.pyd) file
  29.
  30. [Q]What is that ".pyd" file?
  31. [A]Python Dynamic Library is the same thing like .dll. They are compiled codes, so you can't edit them as a basic source file.
  32.
  33. [Q]What does exactly that ".pyd" file contain?
  34. [A]It contains the gui of the system (the graphical part), and the license authorization part of the system.
  35.
  36. [Q]License authorization?
  37. [A]There is a license system in it. This means when a player starts the client once per launch it connects to a database, and downloads a key (~10 byte),
  38. and then compares it to its key. If the keys are fit, then it loads itself, else it isn't (won't crash the client). Its necessary in the case to stop
  39. "illegal" use of the system. It means that I can disable your .pyd file.
  40.
  41. [Q]When do you disable the wiki?
  42. [A]- refunding the money
  43. - leaking it to the public (for example on a forum)
  44.
  45. [Q]Will you re-enable it?
  46. [A]Never, but you can get new one if you pay back the money, or your .pyd had been stolen. Please report me the "steal" ASAP in that case.
  47.
  48. [Q]Is that database is stable?
  49. [A]Yes! Its available from all part of the world with a very good bandwidth, so the connection to it is very fast: noone will notice any kind of lag or something like this.
  50.
  51. [Q]Is the trade fast?
  52. [A]It depends... There could be some incompatibility with your stuffs, but in most of cases I can solve it in a very short time. But if I need some hours to fix your problems
  53. after you bought it, please be patient. I will never scam your money so if I can't solve your problem (can't setup the wiki for you) I will repay your money.
  54.
  55. [Q]Can I modify the order of the class list items/can I add new ones?
  56. [A]Of course, you can edit the order easily in constInfo, and there you can add new ones, but to make the new ones fully working, you have to edit the binary too.
  57. (if you want me to add new ones I can, and its free)
  58.
  59. Requirements:
  60. - client with updated python to python27
  61. - the source of the server and the client
  62. - the system is not compatible with visual studio 2008 (it means you have to use 2013 or higher) (also if you are not able to update your project, I can help for free)
  63.
  64. Since you won't get source file for the graphic part, you may will have some requests, like some little graphical change or creating a button to open it into the
  65. inventory, adding filter for wolfman or something.
  66. Of course its free but note that doing greater changes may take extra fees, so if you want me to do things like this please ask me about it.
  67.
  68. [Q]How will I be able to open the wiki?
  69. [A]Basically I don't give any button for this, I give only a method how you can make it work with a button. But as I mentioned you can ask me to make a button for you
  70. for free.
  71.

  73. # Features #
  74. ############
  75.
  76. For a work-in-progress video, check this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AKnu7Z_Xz0
  77.
  78. When you open the wiki, you will see the main window. It contains the item filter, the class list (like weapons, armors), the search toolbar, and of course the
  79. item browser.
  80.
  81. - the search module is not case sensitive and will display the partial matches (you don't have to enter the full name of the item)
  82. - hitting [enter] while the cursor is in the search field will start the searching
  83. - there are 10 items per page, but it can be changed
  84. - the scrollbar's size is dynamic (it will change its length depending of the items in the page)
  85. - you can select multiple filters in the same time (for example checking "sura" will display only the things for sura and then checking "shaman" will display
  86. thing for both sura and shaman)
  87. - you don't have to add items to the wiki, its fully automatized-> it will load the items from the client's item_proto; it also means that the precision of the
  88. wiki will depends on the item_proto-> if its clean, then the wiki will clean too!
  89. - items with no model or no icon won't be displayed
  90. - if your level is lower than the item's, the level will be displayed with red colour (only the level) else it will stay grey
  91. - you can add item vnums to blacklist that you don't want to be shown in the wiki
  92.
  93. - clicking on an item in the browser (both on its picture or on its gauge) will open a new window with more infomation about the item if possible (if there is no
  94. more information about the item then it won't be open new window)
  95. - in this new window you may will see: - what mobs can drop the selected item/what crates can contain the selected item (with count and probability)
  96. (common drop and material drop(etc drop) included)
  97. - if the item is refinable (or could be refinable from another item) it will show that item
  98. - if the item is refinable it will show the cost of the refine (if any)
  99. - if the item is refinable it will show the materials needed for the upgrade (if any) (tested up to 5 material, but its dynamic)
  100. - the probability of a successful upgrade (if any)
  101. - the bonus informations are cached, so the server has to send them only once for each item per launched client (the server will send it only if you select an item)
  102. - this bonus information window is dynamic too, its size will change depending on the information
  103. - you can click on then image of the materials and the records of the crates drop and it will open that item in the current window (if you hold l or r ctrl it will
  104. open it in a new window)
  105. - if the currently selected item is a crate, it will show what items can it contain instead of the "what crates can contain this item"
  106.

  108. # Support & Updates #
  109. #####################
  110.
  111. Of course if you have any problem I will be at your service and I will do your request(s) as soon as possible, but I have personal life too (not too much, but have).
  112. I mean I can have busy weeks as everyone has, but I will complete your request in a week (if its not an additional request (I mean bigger changes for extra fees)).
  113.
  114. Updates are free as bug-repairing too. Of course if I find a problem (or someone reports a problem) I will notice all of my customers about it, and I will do my best
  115. to solve the problem. When its solved everyone will get his/her own version (if you had some requests it will contain it too).
  116.
  117. The updates will be written in a step-by-step tutorial, so you won't have to re-setup the whole system again.
  118.
  119. I will send the updates to you via skype or with that contact you gave to me.
  120.

  122. # Pricing & payment #
  123. #####################
  124.
  125. I only accept paypal payments!
  126.
  127. The basic price of the system is 60€.
  128.
  129. If you let me add my name into somewhere of the gui (not annoying, but visible place) this cost could be reduced to 50€. If you choose this option please let me know about
  130. it before we do the transaction.
