'Sup, doods!

For starters, I am too creatively bankrupt right now to come up with an April Fools joke. This is a safe space free from that BS.

I have edits upon edits planned for LPS videos and my personal clips, though I fear I'm just working on a conveyor belt cranking out the same clips. If I tried to make appealing edits, I would never get them done. I don't have the experience or consistency to make any presets in my editing software and automate the work. I only recently realized that presets are critical to the efficiency of an editor's work, but only if you have a distinct editing style. I've tried editing videos in a style I would watch myself, but it turns out that only I would watch it. Even now, I tend to listen to more videos than actually watch and pay attention to them. What is the last produced video that I paid my undivided attention to throughout? I can't find one, doods.

SO WHY AM I CARING ABOUT CREATIVE EDITS?!

Maybe I'm not cut out for edited content. Or maybe I'm just in a creative fog. If I don't fall asleep now as I type this update, I will remain an April fool.


Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals (actual priority is in constant flux):

Goal #1: schedule LPS videos for this week.
Goal #2: schedule personal shorts for this week.
Goal #3: schedule LPS videos for the rest of the month.
Goal #4: schedule personal shorts for the rest of the—wait, I don't have a month of clips. I can go through the 22nd. I'd love to be able to build a backlog of clippable moments for steady content even through unplanned absences.
Goal #6: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. This will need to wait until after the Tetris Attack tournament is done.
Goal #7: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process. Next objective is to make transitions and alerts.
Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.

This week's schedule:
I might be recording a tournament match on Friday. If that falls through:
Friday @ 9pm-1am EST – Friday Night Salt Mines – The Rematches Only Get Harder Edition, Doods!
Saturdays and Sundays will have matches throughout March and April for the duration of the tournament. I will be streaming to Twitch during my own matches. Go watch at twitch.tv/puzzlespeedrun!
