- >Everyone is too nice and it looks like the God damn Carebear village!
- -
- >Everyone is too nice and it looks like the God damn Carebear village
- Holy sht Charlie thinks she's doing everyone a favor by sending them to heaven but in reality heaven sux just as bad but in a more "We can't stop fcking smiling" way.
- ---
- why was this episode so communist?
- -
- >viv makes the demons spout communist garbage
- uhhh...bros...? based viv?
- -
- not really
- the demons are really the "good relatable guys" if you understand
- its fcking stupid
- its clear that vivzie is an ancom but she still takes money from big corporations to make hazbin
- -
- >its clear that vivzie is an ancom but she still takes money from big corporations to make hazbin
- so she's a neoliberal?
- -
- she's a Californian, if that tells you anything
- --------
- >old rich guy sinners looked very similar to how they did in life
- >Viv said that you don't get to look like how you did in life
- She can't keep to one rule can she
- -
- >Viv said that you don't get to look like how you did in life
- I think thats been outdated for a long, long time
- -
- Even Vaggie and Al had that
- -
- Still headcanoning that the amount of sins you committed pertains to how human you look.
- Vaggie must not have done much bad, as she's still relatively human, but Angel looks completely different.
- -------
- >heaven is supposed to be this bizarre high tech afterlife
- >/hhg/ comes up with all these interesting theories on what heaven really looks like
- >its literally stock_photo_heaven_01 with willy wonka storefront slapped on top
- -
- Its like she took a snapshot of fairy world from fairly odd parents and just slapped a new color pallette over it
- -
- >high tech high life
- This confuses the cyberpunk
- -
- this
- shouldn't have expected much from a c*lifornian
- -
- I would've liked to see a taste of heavens wrath when CHERUB fcked up, maybe sending in a winged enforcer angel (who can only speak in ancient hebrew) to clean up the mess
- Just a tiny taste of the true, lovecraftian and old testament true nature of heaven
- -
- or at least a young one that spent too much time with the equivalent of a grandpa and thinks supernatural problems can be solved like in the good old days
- >blood for the blood god
- >i-i mean, demon blood for our good lord
- >no dude, it's just a funny human meme, no need to be a boo-
- >*banned from entering the living world again*
- -----------------------
- Why cherubs want to save the old man if he experimented on the poor?
- -
- Love the Sinner hate the Sin.
- -
- sicide bad m'kay
- -
- Because everyone in heaven is a massive hypocrite
- -
- Vivziepop is going to totally pull the 'real hell is actually HEAVEN' """plot twist""" I bet

- >/HHG/ Hazbin Lore.
- >Interesting asthetics and a neuanced take on abrahamic religions.
- >What Viv will probably do.
- >Chirstianity is dumb, lol. Look how clever I am.
- -
- I think Christianity has some gray areas that would need exploring. But I know Vivienne is just gonna take the easy route
- -
- Yeh, and you know she would thread lightly on other religions.
- -
- Take me back to the good old days before we got Helluva boss ep1 and pre A24 Hazbin
- Those were the golden days, we had such high hopes
- I mean, our theories and discussions were drenched in autism, but shit I think we actually wrote up some pretty good stuff
- -
- It really isn’t that difficult to grasp. They’re the polar opposite business model to I.M.P.
- People in hell, for whatever personal reason, pay I.M.P. to kill people on Earth, regardless of how good or bad the person on earth is. So far most people who they kill in the show have been bad people (most likely because the second they kill someone who was actually just a good person, people watching are going to start disliking the show). Still there’s a good shot most of the people in the spring break episode weren’t all horrible people
- C.H.E.R.U.B. is the polar opposite. People in heaven, for whatever personal reason, (don’t) pay to have the cherubs save someone on earth. The person they try to bless doesn’t have to be a good person. They just need to be someone that someone in heaven wants to save. They said it in the episode: the stuff that the old man created did help people. Even if he created them for selfish reasons
- ------------------------
- Anyone feel that this most recent episode felt really hollow? I've heard many anons previously talk about how when the next (now most recent) episode drops we'll have more to talk about lore wise, but their doesn't seem to be very much to talk about beyond what we already know
- -
- Yeh, this episode was kind of a let down.
- -
- I ironic because its mostly a lore dump episode.
- -
- I mean, I guess it could be called a lore dump
- All I know now is that
- >heaven appears to be subdivided (cherub ville seems to be on the outskirts of a city, could be the "center" of heaven)
- >sinners actually look like how they died in real life
- >their voice doesn't change in hell
- Not much else to glean from it
- -
- The gag with the piano changing postition in the air was pretty funny.
- -
- Well I forgot to mention, it looks like blitzo turns pink when he's in emotional distress, possibly hinting to him being half incubus
- -
- that's a reference to a Brandon Rodgers skit as far as I know
- -
- I'm pretty sure thats just clown paint.
- ----
- >no white mark on the face
- what does this mean
- -
- There's also this poster.
- Either the background artist fucked up, or Blitzo didn't originally have that white spot on his head.
- Also, R.I.P. Tilla. Seems like she didn't make the cut.
- -
- Welp, great minds think alike!
- -
- hmmmm. So what happened to Tilla then? It looks like Blitzo went from performing with both of his sisters to just his twin to being a solo act.
- -
- i think tilla's been retconned out of existence
- ---
- Wait, what the fck?
- Where are the fcking angels?
- -
- Angels have now been reconnected
- Buy my merch you fcking paypigs
- -----
- Reminder these are Cherubs, not Angels, similarily like how Imps and Hellhounds are not Demons.
- -
- >Imps
- >Not demons
- -
- >cherubs aren't angels
- >imps aren't demons
- btch what the fck are you talking about?
- -
- I think he meant not the high level, "torture you and steal your soul" type of demons, and not "winged humanoids" type angels.
- -
- Ok, they DO classify as Demons, but they aren't the same as human sinners who die and are turned to demons.
- Now sure where exactly is mentioned, if in some Twitter post, Q&A stream or something else, but Hellhounds and Imps are said to be demons native to Hell, so they have never been humans who died and went to hell.
- I think it's the same case with Stolas and his daughter and wife.
- I am sure the appropiate [Citation] is on the Wiki about them.
- My point is the angels who do the purges are most probably still a thing, if they aren't something like Humans who go to Heaven and such or higher Ranked angels.

- K so
- >What I liked
- The absurdity and excessiveness of the fight scene was amusing. So was the violence of the "nature is horrific" joke. Interesting that there are people up in Heaven who would want someone who's going to end up in Hell protected anyway. The gag of IMP constantly having to do a shtty job of disguising themselves didn't really make me laugh out loud but it was quaint. Lends credence to the idea that maybe not everyone in Heaven is on board with the exterminations. Also interesting how efficiently CHERUB got kicked out of Heaven. Like, seconds after the fcker died the portal home was auto-kicking them. Good to see that angels can officially fall from grace even without deliberately doing anything.
- >Not so great
- Pacing was really off. The kooky crazy 1920s-ish tone of the two sinners was a little weird since the show otherwise seems to be set in the modern period. The mustachioed guy from Loo Loo Land showing up as some kind of inventhelp.com-esque pitchman felt odd, almost like they just decided they liked the design and the VA had some time to spare so they threw him back in. Other than the female, none of the cherub's voices did much for me. I didn't really get the gnome joke that everyone keeps talking about but that's probably because I'm a little detached from pop culture. I get the classic "no one even notices the character is in horrible agony" joke, but Millie not reacting to Moxxie being under a pile of rubble seemed out of character for her given that in the last episode she ramped up into kaiju-slayer mode without a second thought or even uttering a word.
- I'd say it was a B-/C+. Kind of hope we'll see CHERUB again and find out what kind of stuff a heavenly being gets up to when they're permanently stranded in the human world. Be kind of funny if they gradually grew more and more embittered after being exposed to mortal life for a long time, or maybe just got themselves a never-ending and increasingly unscrupulous vendetta against IMP
- -
- Pretty well-rounded review, I get a sneaking suspesion that the fallen cherubs may become small time antagonists to I.M.P., they probably won't be a serious threat though
- -
- In some of the preview shots for one of the later episodes you can see glimpses of what appear to be Verosika's shoes and the silhouette of Robo-Fizz. I think that these early episodes might be them setting up their rogues gallery of recurring antagonists who will be up in IMP's face going forward.
- -
- Seems so.
- I wonder if Martha and her family will make a re-appearance. No doubt they ended up in Hell, and I.M.P. would be number one on their shtlist.
- ---
- The fallen cherubs becoming bitter and and hardened to a comical degree would be an amusing gag. Like full on eyepatch, beard stubble, chain smoking, constantly bickering, worse-than-IMP level stuff. Now that they can't retire to Cherub Town at the end of the day and have to be knee-deep in the muck of humanity all the time they just come apart like a stack of wet newspaper in a hurricane
- -
- Don't describe the aftermath of you getting fired anon
- -
- That's what happened when my dad started drinking again...
- -----
- All I want now is for a karmic anvil to drop on IMP
- Their smug aura offends me
- -
- At this point I think it's mandatory they get Karma'd, otherwise it'll get annoying with no repercussions
- -
- Moxxie gets battered in both the beginning, AND the end of the episode.
- Millie's always going to injure herself, because she's the team's bruiser.
- Can't believe you two are THAT salty because they're in a cat costume.
- Let them fcking have this, they're the fcking chewtoys on every other occasion!
- -
- Calm down son its only a joke
- -
- Question is, who's going to deliver the good news?
- -
- >>37085413
- >Angry about the cat costume
- No, I actually liked seeing Moxxie in his. I just don't like seeing bad people getting away with stuff repeatedly because of 'plot reasons' or whatever you want to call it. Gotta have some proper karma in there somewhere.
- >>37085422
- Honestly I'd love for it to be Stolas just hitting them with a "you fcked up have some suffering", since he's the one that enables their business.
- -
- Like I said, Moxxie got crushed both at the beginning and the end of the episode, and he and Millie typically end up being the chew toys.
- -
- Cartoon violence =/= consequences
- The scene immediately after Moxxie got crushed showed that he was perfectly fine
- --------------------------------------------
- What a sad life i can never experience
- Get your sht sorted out
- -
- >What a sad life i can never experience
- what an insightful statement that's completely pointless to make
- -
- Well my dad died when i was a 1 year old anon
