  1. Corporal Levi's Guide to Building Little Cup Teams
  2.
  3. Hello, and welcome to my step-by-step guide to building a Little Cup team! I often get people coming to me to ask for help with their teams, so I thought I would make a post going into detail on just what goes through my head as I'm building teams. Without further ado, here is a sneak peak at the process followed by the manager of the Pakistani Piplups.
  4.
  5. Part 1: Choosing Your Pokemon
  6.
  7. Step 1: Number the following Pokemon from 1 to 10: Mienfoo, Foongus, Diglett, Vullaby, Onix, Mareanie, Snivy, Pawniard, Spritzee, Magnemite.
  8.
  9. [hide=Example list]
  10. 1. Mienfoo
  11. 2. Foongus
  12. 3. Diglett
  13. 4. Vullaby
  14. 5. Onix
  15. 6. Mareanie
  16. 7. Snivy
  17. 8. Pawniard
  18. 9. Spritzee
  19. 10. Magnemite[/hide]Notice that three of these Pokemon have Regenerator. Regenerator is a very good ability because it invalidates a key component of LC, chip damage.
  20.
  21. Feeling creative? You can number the following Pokemon from 1 to 15 instead: Mienfoo, Foongus, Diglett, Vullaby, Onix, Mareanie, Snivy, Pawniard, Spritzee, Magnemite, Timburr, Staryu, Abra, Gastly, Slowpoke.
  22.
  23. [hide=Example extended list]
  24. 1. Mienfoo
  25. 2. Foongus
  26. 3. Diglett
  27. 4. Vullaby
  28. 5. Onix
  29. 6. Mareanie
  30. 7. Snivy
  31. 8. Pawniard
  32. 9. Spritzee
  33. 10. Magnemite
  34. 11. Timburr
  35. 12. Staryu
  36. 13. Abra
  37. 14. Gastly
  38. 15. Slowpoke
  39. [/hide]
  40.
  41. Step 2: Go to https://www.random.org/sequences/.
  42.
  43. For the smallest value, choose 1.
  44. For the largest value, choose 10 (or, if you are using the extended list, 15).
  45.
  46. Click Get Sequence.
  47.
  48. Choose the first six numbers in the sequence. Your team consists of the Pokemon that you labeled by those numbers in step 1.
  49.
  50. [hide=Example team]

  52.
  53. My numbers would be 6, 5, 9, 1, 2, 8, so using the example list I provided in step 1, my team would consist of Mareanie, Onix, Spritzee, Mienfoo, Foongus, and Pawniard.
  54. [/hide]Note that some of these combinations will struggle to break through Regenerator cores - let's hope that you managed to roll your own Regenerator core as well.
  55.
  56. From the 10 Pokemon you have to choose from, there are 210 possible team combinations. If you chose to use the extended list of 15 Pokemon, then there are 5005 possible team combinations. Talk about a diverse metagame!
