- Corporal Levi's Guide to Building Little Cup Teams
- Hello, and welcome to my step-by-step guide to building a Little Cup team! I often get people coming to me to ask for help with their teams, so I thought I would make a post going into detail on just what goes through my head as I'm building teams. Without further ado, here is a sneak peak at the process followed by the manager of the Pakistani Piplups.
- Part 1: Choosing Your Pokemon
- Step 1: Number the following Pokemon from 1 to 10: Mienfoo, Foongus, Diglett, Vullaby, Onix, Mareanie, Snivy, Pawniard, Spritzee, Magnemite.
- [hide=Example list]
- 1. Mienfoo
- 2. Foongus
- 3. Diglett
- 4. Vullaby
- 5. Onix
- 6. Mareanie
- 7. Snivy
- 8. Pawniard
- 9. Spritzee
- 10. Magnemite[/hide]Notice that three of these Pokemon have Regenerator. Regenerator is a very good ability because it invalidates a key component of LC, chip damage.
- Feeling creative? You can number the following Pokemon from 1 to 15 instead: Mienfoo, Foongus, Diglett, Vullaby, Onix, Mareanie, Snivy, Pawniard, Spritzee, Magnemite, Timburr, Staryu, Abra, Gastly, Slowpoke.
- [hide=Example extended list]
- 1. Mienfoo
- 2. Foongus
- 3. Diglett
- 4. Vullaby
- 5. Onix
- 6. Mareanie
- 7. Snivy
- 8. Pawniard
- 9. Spritzee
- 10. Magnemite
- 11. Timburr
- 12. Staryu
- 13. Abra
- 14. Gastly
- 15. Slowpoke
- [/hide]
- Step 2: Go to https://www.random.org/sequences/.
- For the smallest value, choose 1.
- For the largest value, choose 10 (or, if you are using the extended list, 15).
- Click Get Sequence.
- Choose the first six numbers in the sequence. Your team consists of the Pokemon that you labeled by those numbers in step 1.

- --- images here ---
- My numbers would be 6, 5, 9, 1, 2, 8, so using the example list I provided in step 1, my team would consist of Mareanie, Onix, Spritzee, Mienfoo, Foongus, and Pawniard.
- [/hide]Note that some of these combinations will struggle to break through Regenerator cores - let's hope that you managed to roll your own Regenerator core as well.
- From the 10 Pokemon you have to choose from, there are 210 possible team combinations. If you chose to use the extended list of 15 Pokemon, then there are 5005 possible team combinations. Talk about a diverse metagame!
