- Wakfu Damage Calculations [Examples]
- =======================================
- These examples are carried out using an Air/Earth Dragon Osamodas build. This means Whip (the spell I use) will have extra damage because of being in Dragon form. I will also add images at the end of the calculation showing the damage in-game in [brackets].
- Here are the stats I will be using for these examples: http://i.imgur.com/gz48NjF.png
- Here is the spell I will be using for these examples (both non-crit and crit damage): http://i.imgur.com/qYxp1au.png
- Here are the stats of the enemy I will be testing hits with resistance on: http://i.imgur.com/j87T805.png
- Working out Frontal Hits
- -------------------------
- -If I cast Whip on the front of an enemy with no air resistance, the damage will be either;
- 1) For a non-crit; 78 + (78 * 535%) = 495.3 (495 or 496 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/i5BCDo3.png]
- 2) For a crit; 116 + (116 * 535+98%) = 850.28 (850 or 851 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/h6H2VYe.png]
- *Whip's base damage is 78 in Dragon form, and 116 when a critical.
- *I have 535% Air damage, so that is my elemental damage%.
- *My critical damage bonus is +98, which adds to the elemental damage% under a crit, giving me 633% elemental damage% when critting.
- -If I cast Whip on the front of an enemy with 7% air resistance, the damage will be either;
- 1) For a non-crit; 78 + (78 * 535%) = 495.3, then 495.3 * 93% = 460.629 (460 or 461 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/2KeS3Bk.png]
- 2) For a crit; 116 + (116 * 535+98%) = 850.28, then 850.28 * 93% = 790.7604 (790 or 791 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/DD21ngr.png]
- *The enemy has 7% Air resistance. This means my normal damage with Whip will only be 93% of what it can do on 0% resistance.
- (As my normal damage on no resistances is taken to be 100% and the resistance removes 7% of that, meaning the spell only does 93% of what can do.)
- Working out Sidestabs
- ------------------------
- *We have worked out that my damage with Whip is either 495.3 when not critting, or 850.28 when critting. This is what we will use to calculate a sidestab.
- *Sidestabs increase the damage of a normal or crit hit by 10%, meaning if we take the normal damage of the spell to be 100%, its' power will be increased by 10%, meaning my spell will do 110% of its' normal damage.
- -If I cast Whip on the side of an enemy with no air resistance, the damage will be either;
- 1) For a non-crit; 495.3 * 110% = 544.83 (544 or 545 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/wFzpoyW.png]
- 2) For a crit; 850.28 * 110% = 935.308 (935 or 936 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/FkgVRql.png]
- *Check the first two parts of this section if you're unsure of how I got these values.
- -If I cast Whip on the side of an enemy with 7% air resistance, the damage will be either;
- 1) For a non-crit; 495.3 * 110% = 544.83, then 544.83 * 93% = 506.6919 (506 or 507 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/sMNcwsD.png]
- 2) For a crit; 850.28 * 110% = 935.308, then 935.308 * 93% = 869.83644 (869 or 870 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/V3knd2c.png]
- *Check the first two parts of this section again if you're unsure of how I got these values.
- *Remember, the enemy has 7% air resistance, so my normal 100% damage output will be reduced to 93% because of it. (100% - 7% = 93%)
- Working out Backstabs
- -----------------------
- *For backstabs, we need to re-calculate the damage values, as we have to take the backstab damage% stat (BS) into account as well. My BS is 50, and this will add onto the elemental damage% value.
- *On top of this, once we have calculated a damage value, remember that backstabs increase the damage of a normal or crit hit by 25%, meaning if we take the normal damage of the spell to be 100%, its' power will be increased by 25%, meaning my spell will do 125% of its' normal damage.
- -If I cast Whip on the back of an enemy with no air resistance, the damage will be either;
- 1) For a non-crit; 78 + (78 * 535+50%) = 534.3, then 534.3 * 125% = 667.875 (667 or 668 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/lGLGduZ.png]
- 2) For a crit; 116 + (116 * 535+50+98%) = 908.28, then 908.25 * 125% = 1135.35 (1135 or 1136 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/NqO1Z2m.png]
- *Check the first two parts of this section if you're unsure of how I got these values.
- *Remember that for a critical hit, critical damage bonus is taken into account. My CDB stat is 98, meaning we add this to 535% as well as adding the BS stat (50) to this. This results in my overall elemental damage% to be 683% when critting a backstab.
- -If I cast Whip on the back of an enemy with 7% air resistance, the damage will be either;
- 1) For a non-crit; 667.875 * 93% = 621.12375 (621 or 622 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/IYdC10S.png]
- 2) For a crit; 1135.35 * 93% = 1055.8755 (1055 or 1056 Damage) [http://i.imgur.com/hcGQ9kj.png]
- *For these calculations, it is just 93% of the damage we would do if we backstabbed an enemy with 0% air resistance. This is why we use the two damage values calculated from the first part of this section.
- *Remember, the enemy has 7% air resistance, so my normal 100% damage output will be reduced to 93% because of it. (100% - 7% = 93%)
- ======================================================
- (?)What happens if the enemy blocks?
- -To see what you damage is if an enemy blocks, calculate the damage you want to check. Then, multiply that by 70%, because a block reduces damage by 30%, and this is taken into account after everything else has been worked out.
- i.e.) Whip does 495.3 damage when I hit an enemy with 0% air resistance from the front and it doesn't crit. If they blocked, it would be 495.3 * 70% = 346.71 (346 or 347 Damage). Blocks are quite nasty!
