  1. Here'll you'll find info for the T5S2 April Team Tournament
  2. This event will be a fully-fledged tournament and available for T5S2 standings points, but will be also used as a dry-run for a larger T5S2 team series later this year.
  3.
  4. **REGISTRATION**
  5. This is a *free* event. You can register your team here: https://www.bestcoastpairings.com/eventlanding/b1c9r635
  6.
  7. This event will have a limit of 16 teams and Round 1 will be paired as soon as possible on 4/12/21.
  8.
  9. Each team will be composed of 5 players, including one captain. The captain will be the primary point of contact between teams.
  10.
  11. Team captains must collect BCP account e-mail addresses of the players on their team, register them under the team registration. Team Captains will also need to register themselves as a player (they aren't added automatically)!
  12.
  13. BASIC INFO
  14. Mission/map info will be posted in this channel each round, and you may use this channel to coordinate with your opponent's team.
  15.
  16. This is meant to be a casual format of team event in order to generate feedback on the system. Communication between players and their captain is encouraged during the playing process, and allowed during gameplay, however players are not allowed to give advice via voice chat during gameplay (this is just to avoid confusion and speaking over opponents).
  17.
  18. This is a GLOBAL event; so while the schedule is listed in EST, players may be paired with opponents outside their time zone and are expected to adjust their schedule accordingly. If they cannot, they are expected to concede their game.
  19.
  20. PAIRINGS PROCEDURE
  21. Each round a mission+map will be randomly to played on every table.
  22.
  23. Teams will be paired based on their record. As soon as possible after pairings are posted, the team captains should communicate to determine player pairings based on the following procedure:
  24.
  25. 1. The team with the higher placing will choose whether they are Team A, or Team B during the process (this means that the first round selection will be random).
  26.
  27. 2. Team B captain presents their first player.
  28.
  29. 3. Team A captain then nominates two of their players to be potential opponents for the first player.
  30.
  31. 4. Team B captain chooses which player from the two nominated players to be paired with the first player. This is the Table 1 pairing. The player they do not choose remains presented.
  32.
  33. 5. Team B captain nominates 2 of their remaining players to be potential opponents for the presented player.
  34.
  35. 6. Team A captain chooses which player from the two nominated players to be paired with the presented player. The player they do not choose remains presented.
  36.
  37. 7. Team A captain then nominates two of their players to be potential opponents for the presented player.
  38.
  39. 8. Team B captain chooses which player from the two nominated players to be paired with the presented player. The player they do not choose remains presented.
  40.
  41. 9. Team B captain then nominates two of their players to be potential opponents for the presented player.
  42.
  43. 10. Team A captain chooses which player from the two nominated players to be paired with the presented player. This is the Table 4 pairing. The player they do not choose remains presented.
  44.
  45. 11. The two remaining players are paired. This is the Table 5 pairing.
  46.
  47. TOURNAMENT FORMAT
  48. The team with the most game wins during a round will win that match in that round.
  49. One round is to be played each week (scores will be due at midnight EST each Sunday, and new pairings will be posted every Monday). Unsubmitted scores may result in a draw or game loss. The event will last 4 rounds.
  50.
  51. Unplayed games will result in a 0-0 score being submitted, unless one player concedes or is unresponsive, in which case their opponent scores 60-0.
  52.
  53. In the event a game cannot be scheduled or completed before the end of the round, an extension may be applied for by contacting a Tournament Organizer (jk it's just Trevy) at least 24 hrs before that round's end. If granted, a dummy score will be entered which will apply for the next round's pairing process. The postponed game must be resolved and the final score entered within 24 hrs of the round's end.
  54.
  55. Each game will be played using Chapter Approved: Grand Tournament 2020 rules, alongside the T5S2 Event Regulations, including the following addendums/additions:
  56.
  57. Any faction keyword may only be included in one list per team, with the following exceptions:
  58. Imperium, Chaos, Aeldari, Unaligned, Officio Assassinorum, Inquisition, Ordo Xenos, Ordo Malleus, Ordo Hereticus, Adeptus Ministorum, Astra Telepathica, Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh, Tzeentch
  59.
  60. Tyranids may be included in two lists if one of those lists only includes Tyranids models with the Genestealer Cult or Brood Brothers keywords.
  61.
  62. Adeptus Astartes may be included in two lists if one of those lists only includes Adeptus Astartes models with the Grey Knights keyword.
  63.
  64. For the purposes of this limit, ignore the Heretic Astartes keyword on Thousand Sons and Death Guard.
  65. Players are to submit a Battle Forged army no greater than 2,000 pts, with its Warlord indicated.
  66.
  67. Psychic powers, relics, warlord traits, litanies, adaptive physiologies, stratagems that are used "before the game", etc. may be selected during the "Muster Armies" stage of each game.
  68.
  69. Each round will use the mission and terrain setup selected for it during the pairing process.
  70.
  71. In the event of a concession, the conceding player retains the VPs they have scored up until that point. The other player may then continue playing to score additional VPs as if their opponent had no remaining time.
