      <translation>Praise is to Allāh Who gives us life after He has caused us to die and to Him is the return.</translation>

      <transliteration>lâ ilâha illâ l-lâhu wahdahu lâ sharîka lah, lahu l-mulku wa lahu l-hamd, wa huwa ‘alâ kulli shay’in qadîr. subhân allâh, wa l-hamdu li-l-lâh, wa lâ ilâha illâ l-lâh, wa l-lâhu akbar, wa lâ hawla wa lâ quwwata illâ bi-l-lâhi l-‘aliyyil-‘azîm. rabbi ghfir-lî.</transliteration>
      <translation>There is none worthy of worship but Allāh alone, Who has no partner, His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is able to do all things. Glory is to Allāh. Praise is to Allāh. There is none worthy of worship but Allāh. Allāh is the Most Great. There is no might and no power except by Allāh's leave, the Exalted, the Mighty. My Lord, forgive me. (Whoever says this will be forgiven, and if he supplicates to Allāh, his prayer will be answered; if he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted.)</translation>

      <arabic>اَلحَمدُ للهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا (الثَّوْبَ) وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَولٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ</arabic>
      <transliteration>al-hamdu li-l-lâhi l-ladhî kasânî hâdhâ th-thawba wa razaqanîhi min ghayri hawlin minnî wa lâ quwwa.</transliteration>
      <translation>Praise is to Allāh Who has clothed me with this (garment) and provided it for me, though I was powerless myself and incapable.</translation>

      <arabic>اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الحَمدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ، أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِهِ وَخَيْرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشِّرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ</arabic>
      <transliteration>allâhumma laka l-hamd. anta kasawtanîhi. as’aluka min khayrihi wa khayri mâ suni‘a lah. wa a‘ûdhu bika min sharrihi wa sharri mâ suni‘a lah.</transliteration>
      <translation>O Allāh, for You is all praise, You have clothed me with it (i.e. the garment), I ask You for the good of it and the good for which it was made, and I seek refuge with You from the evil of it and the evil for which it was made.</translation>

      <translation>(In the name of Allāh). O Allāh, I take refuge with you from all evil and evil-doers.</translation>
