Anyways, to pose a question as newcomer, I've been looking to create a sonic OC that belongs to a character I have for something else entirely. This character in particular is a hobbyist artist of slightly below average skill, who is definitely on the higher end of the spectrum. The kind of person who says "You too" after the waitress says "enjoy your meal." While I'm not sold on making her OC terrible, I would love to hear from anyone here on any sort over-done things with sonic OCs, any red flags for weirdness, etc.
At least, in regards to abilities, powers, backstories, and themes on the non-edgy side. I already imagine the visuals would be very self-inserty.

If anyone has a good list of do's and don'ts that'd be dope too. Sorry if this is a bit out of place, but I'm sure in time I'll get a bit more comfy and in line here.

Bass the scrapbot, made out of different robots something like frankenstein.

ok I got it, this is what I imagine he will look like. right arm is from a Egg Pawn, his head is a Caterkiller, his left arm is from a Snowy, his chest is a E-2000 but there not a lot on it. it just a exoskeleton that you can see through it but it's still somehow works.

both of his legs are from a E-1000 but the right one is very badly damaged, it's almost like a peg leg that he is using.

that what I imagine he will look like.

yeah and since he back on the mainland, he can get new parts that are not rusted metal and broken parts beyond repair.

also more I think of this, the more I feel like I just made a zombie bot, like just moving around at this Sluggish speed. ready to get the jump on eggman new robots so he can rip them apart to fix himself/make himself not die, almost like 'eating'?.

and like any zombie, they are a bit hard to kill since bass is Durable for being made out of rust and stuff.

that be something but he doesn't have any backstory/lore but i have 3 ideas for him, like.

1. he was found by big the cat and he just follow him wherever he goes.

2. fishing is a hobby for him since he copy it from big.

and 3. if you put him in a room with eggman, he will try to kill him, no cap. he will try to end eggman for leavening him on scrapnik island.

yeah I am going for the creep factors but for the cobbled together from dead bots thing. you should do it because my friend King of Sorrow just made art of Bass the scrapbot.

She also really cares for Rico as he reminds her of some of her brothers and would do anything for him as well. Though she's not afraid to scold him. She also may have fked her alternate male self, but she doesn't want to talk about it. She has a Chaos Emerald, but just stores it in a pile of trash treasures.

I'll also post the story of Riley and her Alternate male self, Ripley. It's not finished, but it's a fun little read into the sht they get into and ultimately how they're better best separated as they bring out the worst in eachother. Some others have written stories as well, so if you want to write a story about Bass go ahead! There's tons of write fgs here and we enjoy the stories!

I love this and I already know how bass and Riley meet.

I imagine bass and big are looking for froggy in the junkyard of Empire city for some reason (that frog knows how to hide) bass check the other side of the junkyard and with checking the other side, it will take 10 or 20 minute to find froggy but bass found Riley instead.

she was checking out some thrown out mini fridge when she saw him, a walking junkbot that she didn't make. happy and giggling, before she can walk over to take a closer look of the scrapbot, she hear him talk.

"h-have you s-seen froggy-y?, B-big is L-looking for h-him" she raise an eyebrow of what she just heard "who the fk is big?" and so he explain of how him and big are here in the first place.

I don't know how long the talk will go and Riley is definitely asking questions about bass and most likely asking if he can stay with her, which he will say no because he want to stay with big. at some point big found froggy and they have to leave but before bass left, he is going to write down where him & big lived on some cardboard or something, so Riley can visited them.

that is my idea of how bass and Riley will meet.

so I got some lore/backstory for Bass the scrapbot. it's not good but it's something

day 1: E-2000 came online to see he was somewhere... new. somewhere unknow, around him as far he can see is pure scrap metal and broken badniks. did his master eggman throw him out all because he got defeated by sonic?, he was still in somewhat working. maybe there a way back to eggman.... why my arms are not working.

day 5: E-2000 meet some working badniks, all of them are made of different parts, they told him that they can give him new arms if he help them find good parts. and so he said yes, giving two new arms of a Egg Pawn and a Snowy. he already start to move out to find some good parts and map out this place.

day 20: the metal on his chest fell off over the week, the rain was hitting him hard, and it didn't help that his legs are start to give out. they have to be replace like his leg's with two E-2000 legs but one was missing a foot. 'why' E-2000 repeat in his head 'why did eggman throw me out?, did she even check if I was still working?!.' he felt something new... anger. anger at his maker. eggman. 'He Will Pay.'

day 40: it's been a month since E-2000 was drop and left to rust away here, he had to replace his head with a Caterkiller to keep himself going. he found himself at the edge of the 'scrapnik island' as they call it. he was dangerously close to the water but he want that  robot foot that is sticking out the ground, he got closer, closer, and closer that he almost got the robot foot. but a loose scrap metal under his one foot made him fall into the ocean and everything when black.

???: unknown amount of time since he fell into the ocean, when he came back online, he was somehow back on the mainland. no scrap metal, broken badniks around him but tree, life, and.. frog?. a frog and a large cat that he somehow didn't notice that was looking at him. "hh-hi?" E-2000 said, the large cat blink a few times before saying "hello there, l'm sorry I fish you out, I thought I cough a big bass fish but it just you with all that seaweed on you."

E-2000 also just now notice the seaweed on him, he star to rip it off of him with his Snowy arm "T-thank you... um...w-was your n-name?" he ask. the large cat pick up the frog and put it on his shoulder "well my name is big and this is froggy, we should be going, bye." as he pick up his fishing pole, as he start move away from E-2000, he put his Egg Pawn out saying "W-WAIT!" which big stop in place.

"I-I.... have n-no where to g-go. I d-don't know anythinnng about this-s place. c-can I stay with y-you?." E-2000 said as he try to get back up, big walk to the robot, pick him up and put him back on his feet "ok. but what your name?" big ask curiously

"I d-don't h-have on-ne" E-2000 lie "but I will t-take the name you-u said before, bass." big nod his head "ok, let go, there other good fishing spots." froggy ribbit as a reply, Bass slowly but surely follow big the cat behind. and that how those two meet/became friends.

Bass will give it to them, he have zero idea what to do with it, he could used it to end eggman but he have a 'feeling' (is that the right world for a robot to have?) that would backfire on him and give the Chaos Emerald right into eggman hand.

so yeah... but if some reason, somehow he have all 7 Chaos Emerald's on him (and I have been re-thinking of his power up) he would turn into a gundam like a zaku. because I have been getting into gundam and I find the zaku really fking cool.

1. 'wake up' to see the sunrise, get a head start of fishing.
2. big wake up and join, wait for the fish to take the bait.
3. get some fish and cook it for big, watch froggy do froggy things.
4. if froggy goes missing, bass will get ready to go on a adventure to find froggy with big.
5. found froggy and get ready to go back home to 'sleep'.
6. rinse and repeat.

Dislikes: eggman, badniks that works for eggman, trying to find froggy, and people who try to hurt big.
