  1. Hello everyone, Ticken here.
  2. *Shoutouts to Clumm (Se0), Stunfisk the Great, and Ghast!*
  3. If someone wants the team, I'll have a complete team c/p at the bottom. The sets in the middle are just for referrance but those are the same too so take those too if you want.
  4.
  5. The first pokemon as we all know start off with the typing core dual.
  6.
  7. Nidoqueen @ Life Orb
  8. Ability: Sheer Force
  9. EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
  10. Modest Nature
  11. - Stealth Rock
  12. - Earth Power
  13. - Sludge Wave
  14. - Ice Beam
  15.
  16. Nidoqueen, part of the core, is one of the few poison types to learn Stealth Rock. As we all know, Stealth Rocks can decide a game or make a match up much more favorable especially in Monotype.
  17.
  18. Toxicroak @ Assault Vest
  19. Ability: Dry Skin
  20. EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  21. Jolly Nature
  22. - Drain Punch
  23. - Sucker Punch
  24. - Gunk Shot
  25. - Ice Punch
  26.
  27. Partners with Nidoqueen, Toxicroak was a must use. Even after the core challenge, Toxicroak is my least favorite member by far. The Assualt vest helped Toxicroak many times. For example, it beat a Specs Porygon-Z and Gunk Shot + Sucker punch beat +1 Sp.Atk Fiery Dancing Volcarona's.
  28.
  29. Venusaur @ Venusaurite
  30. Ability: Overgrow
  31. EVs: 248 HP / 76 Def / 184 SpD
  32. Careful Nature
  33. - Curse
  34. - Synthesis
  35. - Earthquake
  36. - Petal Blizzard
  37.
  38. This is a GodChef classic set. First time I ever used it so the EV's are a little out there but you probably get the point. Because this team is SO Skarmory weak I was debating on changing this set to the Regular Grass monotype set for Mega Venusaur. As you see I did not because Ground is another type this team struggles with and this set is much better than the special one especially when Lando-I and Hippowdon go down.
  39.
  40. Drapion @ Choice Scarf
  41. Ability: Battle Armor
  42. EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  43. Jolly Nature
  44. - Knock Off
  45. - Pursuit
  46. - Earthquake
  47. - Rock Slide
  48.
  49. This was added because I was thinking "There are going to be a lot of Psychic monotype teams on the Ladder" but I was wrong. There were like 3 I faced and Scolipede swept all. Anyways, this set did help against other threats that I needed the Scarf for like... idk Meloetta on a Normal team or Lando-I. There are many more pokemon but those were just a few.
  50.
  51. Scolipede @ Life Orb
  52. Ability: Speed Boost
  53. EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  54. Adamant Nature
  55. - Protect
  56. - Earthquake
  57. - Megahorn
  58. - Rock Slide
  59.
  60. I Love Scolipede<3! Scolipede is not on EVERY Poison monotype team but is quite useful. There were many, many Fighting monotypes on the ladder and every time they had a +2 Attack Mega Gallade out, Scolipede defeated it with one Megahorn. Helps a lot vs Fire monotype and Psychic but I'll leave the rest of the type match ups until the end like previously stated.
  61.
  62. Gengar @ Life Orb
  63. Ability: Levitate
  64. EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  65. Timid Nature
  66. - Energy Ball
  67. - Shadow Ball
  68. - Sludge Wave
  69. - Focus Blast
  70.
  71. Last but not least we have Gengar. Gengar helped a LOT against Ground and Water monotype teams with the addition of Energy Ball. As Stun was watching me against a Ground team one time, I lead with Gengar and it gave me a crucial start on weakening Lando-I and defeated Gastrodon... but I'll save the type match ups to the end. All the rest of the moves are normally on Gengar as many of you know.
  72.
  73.
  74. Like I promised everyone, there will be a typing analysis at the bottom but beware that this is all situational on the opponents teams and I'll just tell you my experiences with the team.
  75.
  76. Fire- Main threats: Charizard-Y, Victini, Darmanitan. Those are the main threats. Charizard-Y does not defeat all my pokemon in one shot like Nidoqueen, Venusaur, and potentially Toxicroak but it is faster than those stated while my pokemon cannot one shot the Charizard. Scolipede, Drapion, and depending on the health the Charizard is at, if you set up rocks, Gengar can all avenge the fallen comrades. Let's be honest. After you set up Rocks Scolipede sweeps as long as they do not have Fletchling and you hit all your Rock Slides.
  77.
  78. Psychic- Psychic as we all know is one of the weird types for poison. On paper you'd think Psychic would win because it is SE and all but as many of the top players as of now say that Poison has an advantage because of the fact Scolipede can basically sweep if it does not miss of course. For this team, there was only one Psychic threat to be honest. Sash Alakazam can take any 1 hit and strike back and defeat a pokemon in one shot. Thus, as long as it was hit before Scolipede starts sweeping, you're fine. Gengar also helps but there are a few pokemon that can beat it such as Meloetta and Hoopa-U.
  79.
  80. Fighting- This type is a pain to battle against. They have access to Hawlucha, Mega Gallade, and Mega Medicham to name a few. All 3 of those pokemon can either sweep or leave a dent in the team by the time they are down. I relied on Scolipede to defeat them for me but since Scolipede cannot kill Hawlucha in one shot, it would get to +2 and its unburden boost would activate only leaving it up to a 50/50 with scolipede or having to sacrifice Nidoqueen to possibly live 1 attack. (I did not do a calc for this so do not get mad at me if it doesn't live one)
  81.
  82. Ground- This team has like 3 main attackers for Ground but at the same time can be inconsistent with the results. Many times you need to predict the opponent like since Nidoqueen only has Ice Beam as a SE move, you'll need to switch it up to Earth Power so a Mamoswine does not come in. Gengar and Venusaur are the other 2 that can do work vs Ground. If you can set up Venusaur correctly, it sweeps. That is all that needs to be said about that. For Gengar, it is to attack the fast pokemon like a Lando-I or surprise an unexpecting Gastrodon/Seismitoad.
  83.
  84. Flying- This is the final type analysis I'll do since it was the 5th most used type that I battled. This types SUCKS to battle with this team. The only way to beat Skarmory is to use Nidoqueen or Gengar respectively and it is hard to keep them around with their limited livability. I never beat a proficient Flying user on the ladder so that is my only advice for this match up.
  85.
  86. The team's c/p.

  93. - Sludge Wave
  94. - Ice Beam
