I made this with the paint app because F-k AI. so here is his lore.

“in the deepest part of the labs of Playtime Co. A new toy was in the works, A duck toy that was Rip off ‘inspire’ by disney donald duck, they put out ideas of what this duck toy to be?. A pull string toy?, windup toys?, a Plush?. they don’t know what to pick, there where so many choices to pick from. they when back and forth of what it should be… until one of them had an idea.

'Hey, why not make it into a new Smiling Critters since that one of our most famous toys line we have.’ just like that; they when to work.

'he will be a Smiling Critter that all about natural’ one of them said 'and he will be friends with Hoppy Hopscotch since that is the other Smiling Critters that likes going outside.’ as they talk more about who/what his personality, the other ones pick a kid from the orphanage who will be a good fit for the new Smiling Critter.

unknow amount of time has passed since that day, now a lonely new Smiling Critter sit somewhere in the labs of Playtime Co. 'billy waddlington’ as they called him now, they want to wait to find the perfect time to show the world the new Smiling Critter and introduce him to the other Smiling Critters…

that day never happen.

the HOJ happen instead, billy was in a room all by himself but the next time he knew it, he was running for his life. he don’t remember much of how that happen but he still remember seeing people kill by other toys, blood, yelling, crying, calling for help. a robot claw and voice in his head saying 'you are free now.’

that was +10 years ago, billy somehow got out of Playtime Factory when no one else did. he been living in the woods hidding from the world itself, but it didn’t stop people accidentally finding him and end up being a cryptid of the woods know as 'the man duck’ as they called him. it made him go deeper and deeper into the woods to hide. stealing stuff to survive, finding/killing animal’s for food and living in caves to avoid the rain and snow.

he think he will keep doing this until he dies… until. he hear news of an Angel saveing toys from the Factory, he didn’t believe. he didn’t believe at all, he think it was a trap from playtime co. to find him.

and so… he wait.

he wait to hear more news of the angel. of how they save the toys, how now they are being protected by them. and now hearing that they live on a farm, that one made him leave the woods for ones in his life.

it took some time to find it and when he did, a claw was on his shoulder to meet him.”

Honestly I can see your art being something we find in-game before meeting Billy by accident, and OH MY GOD THEY KEPT THAT BABY LOCKED UP??? I don’t know I’m surprised, it’s perfectly in-character for PlayCo, it’s just. BABY. HE NEVER GOT TO MEET HIS FUTURE FRIENDS??? HE HID IN THE WOODS?

GOSH. The baby isn’t a baby anymore but to me he’s STILL a baby. He knows how to hunt, homeboy had to learn EVERYTHING by himself, and then!!!! He became a CRYPTID! I’M SO PROUD OF HIM FOR THAT, I WISH I WAS ONE, BUT ALSO. POOR BABY. AAAAAAAAA.

This makes me think about him asking himself if leaving PlayCo. was worth it, or if he had it “easier” than the others, and how isolated and alienated from everyone else he must have felt once he found his way back to the farm. I can imagine him ending up super deep in the forest and it taking him either days or weeks until he finds out where the farm is, then gathering all the courage in the world to come inside, only for the Prototype to immediately “detect” him around.

Imagine like. Him sitting in the sofa, covered head to toe in dirt and leaves because he lived in the woods for most of his life, wearing a little blanket while holding a cup of hot cocoa in his hand, while Angel and the Prototype are talking in another room but he can very much STILL hear them. “That kid is very much alive, Proto”, Angel mutters, while Elliott tries to explain that he thought Billy was very VERY dead since the Hour of Joy. He probably saw him roaming around the factory via the cameras, only to lose sight of him in the chaos, and coming to the conclusion that he died. Simple as that.

Imagine the other critters reactions tho! They were supposed to have another friend, BUT HE WASN’T THERE. HE JUST WASN’T THERE. And I do wonder if Bobby would eventually try to leave the farm, or actually leave the farm, but end up coming back because even though he feels a bit disconnected from time to time, they are the closest thing he has to a family, and staying with them is so much better than being alone. Augh. Imagine him and Angel bonding bc they’re both nature guys </3

You are right on that one, I imagine dogday or angel talk to him about not leave the farm and make realize that he not alone no more.

also here some stuff of what will happen when he now part of the family.

1.when someone try to scared him, his instinct/self defense was to punch who every it was, so the toys now know trying to spook him is not a good idea.

2.he don't know how to talk to people and since there 84 toys in the house, he just end up being outside 99% of the time since he have no idea how to deal with that.

3.but the same time since there 84 toys in the house and that mean so many mouths to feed. he immediately want to help by getting food from the woods, so he when missing for 5 or 6 hours that cost angel and the others Panic out there mind. when he got back he got: Berrys, wild onions, and somehow bag a big deer. Prototype and catnap are impressed, same goes for angel but they ask him to not to this again. (1/2)

4.confused, billy ask why. angel had to explain that he don't have to do this, angel can take care of the food. which he ask 'how that's possibly' and angel have to explain what money is. (2/2)

5.billy finds money stupid, he don't understand why you need to buy something when you can go out and get it your self.

6.Billy is 100% on time nightwatch with catnap and Prototype and going hunting with them.

7.at some point, the smiling critters are going to ask him what happen to him. he explain that he was in a dark place waiting for the doc's to show up, something happen, he was running for his life, seeing toys killing people, and he got out of the factory. which it cost the smiling critters and the toys realize that was during the HOJ. (1/2)

8.Billy ask what with that and what happen to them?. they have to 'breakdown the lore of HOJ and after' when he got out. when it was done, he gave catnap/Prototype the look of 'what the actual living f-k with wrong with you' and very happy that angel save the toys. he also realize that he was very lucky to be in the woods and not in that place. (2/2)

9.He a big brother to the small toys, he end up showing them how to make traps to catch small animal which it made angel ask him to not do that.

10.angel also had to ask billy to stop putting up traps outside of the farm. because the mail man end up in one and angel had to get him out of it.

11.smiling critters where surprise and not surprise play co. was about to make a new smiling critters, so billy end up spend time with them, he finds Kickin Chicken really cool.

12.the family end up finding out that billy is the 'man duck' cryptid when some nut job try to grab him and try to show the world that he was real. angel when on full-on mom mode and put the fear of god in him. this makes billy to make a note to not make angel mad.

Him punching someone in the face may be the reason Angel makes the “no scaring others on purpose” rule, because I 100% imagine that Billy isn’t the only one who reacts to being scared with immediate violence. Poor baby!!!

He found out about money and his immediate reaction was to think it’s stupid. He’s so right, he literally just got out of the woods, is LOADED with trauma, and has one right opinion after the other (/hj). I like to think the Prototype ends up taking Billy with him, Catnap and Hoppy on their hunting trips through the woods.

ALSO PLEAAASEEEE, NOT HIM SIDE-EYEING THE PROTOTYPE AS WELL LMAO, he deserves it, mind you, BUT ALSO IKSKIASKIASKIKAIASKAS. Everyone in the family is side eyeing him and I love that.

You bet someone accidentally got caught in one of the small traps lmao. This made me imagine Billy thinking about how lucky he was that Angel calmed themself down before talking to him about the traps! You bet Angel showed all the toys that they are indeed THE guy who knocked out 5 people on a bar that one time, as they kick the ever living shit out of the conspiracy theorist wanting to show Billy around like he was a living trophy.

I do have more of him (which i think I need to make a new post of him since this one is getting very long.)

here his list of favourite smiling critters. (he likes them all)

1.KickinChicken: he remind him of those 'cool guys' he saw/watching for a far of action movie, the cool guys don't look at explosions?. yeah, he think kickin is like that.

2.DogDay: safety, that what he felt when he met him for the first time. something billy didn't know that was missing from him, he very happy that he could met him.

3.HoppyHopscotch: it's funny, he was made to be friends with her and it work when he met her. fast friends of two of them. hoppy show him what soccer is and billy show her how to fish.

4.BubbaBubbaphant: so many things he didn't know about, so many new thing to learn about. but for Bubba, he can't remember everything after HOJ. so billy want to help him with that.

5.CatNap: It's 50/50, on one hand. it's cool to find someone who like going into the woods and just... export. but the other hand, this is the man who made a cult and hurt a lot of people... it's werid.

6.BobbyBearHug: someone who is full of happiest and love yet they are so hurt... it's. something he can't stand by, he always be at her side when giving the chance to and keep her safe.

7.CraftyCorn: it's nice to have something you can chill with and see them make stuff, billy made some art as well.

8.PickyPiggy: COOKING FRIENDS!, picky showing him what kind of new stuff you can make with food and billy show her how to make his own fish soup.

Billy spending the past 10 years pretty isolated from the rest of the world and having him think Kickin is the cool guy of all time sounds like the perfect recipe for disaster lmao, these two are going to make SOMETHING explode or get themselves into an accident and Angel will have a heart attack thanks to them- rip everyone's sanity, Kickin gotta set a bad example for Billy to follow.

Him feeling safe around Dogday- UAGHAUGHAUGHAUGHHHH. I can see our big pup getting a bit overprotective over him thanks to his trauma of almost losing all the other SC + him seeing Billy as the Baby(tm) of the bunch.

HIM ALSO GETTING ALONG WITH HOPPY. Once again, perfect recipe for disaster, she and him go on a hunting trip and come back covered in blood and panting, but also there's a Giant Dead Deer In The Backyard Now.

He could follow Bubba and Delight on their mini hiking trips around the farm! These two love nature and would get along nicely with Billy. Everyone can infodump to each other :0)

Catnap... I can feel Catnap also being a bit overprotective over Billy. Similar reasons to Dogday, but also Billy is the only critter that never met Catnap during his worst years. Our big kitty would feel the need to do better with him than how he did with the others.

Bobby, Crafty and Billy would be such a cute trio dynamic. Traumatized girlie with fear of abandonment x ball of anxiety x lived in a forest for 10 years. They're staring at people in the mall because no one here knows what to do (at least in the beginning). Bobby makes matching friendship bracelets for them!

Picky and him being cooking buddies.,... We have another one to help with making food for the entire family! Yeeehaw! I can see Picky explaining farm stuff to him as well :0)

I love this so much. billy and kickin, the dumbass duo. will cost trouble on accidents. oh boy.

Dogday and catnap are on "overprotective big brother team" to watch over billy. because I can imagine them like on a picnic, keeping an eye on him, catnap trying to be a good person and dogday don't believe that at all. end up talking shit to each other, when that done and look back. he is gone.

you better believe they end up trying to find him for 2 or 3 hours and found him playing with the ducks at the pond. the look on their face is priceless.

for the hoppy and billy part you said, I can see that. angel walking out in the backyard to get some fresh air and just see billy & hoppy cover in deer blood. hand waving at them and realize it's going to be one of those days.

Bubba, Delight, and billy. the infodump trio, there are going to hours of non-stop talking about stuff and it's going to be great.

and for Bobby and Crafty, when they get to the mall, I just see all of them at the food court and trying out new things there.

Picky and billy, 100% would ask her to read some cook books together.

I love how part of Billy's reactions to the HoJ and the fallout of it is to just go "So many issues could have been solved with a heart to heart." Meanwhile he is preparing a spear to get more food cause he still thinks money is dumb.
