  1. Hello, after april's fool i would like to send a mail to SNK to send them some suggestions to create an (eventual) new Metal Slug game that i hope would reboot the series in order to make room for a more convincing plot compared to the one written up until Metal Slug XX (last chapter of the main series) and starting over from the events of the 1996's Metal Slug.
  2. I have different innovations in mind as for gameplay like a better characterization of characters (12 of them) and new characteristics. Take a look and please tell me what you think (and a way to contact SNK, i know firsthand that im not the first one to have suggestions in mind, but its fait that SNK knows there's people like me that passionately desire a new chapter of this series, with updated graphics, possibly)

  14. D-Change Weapon (you can bring 2 weapons at a time max)

  16. E (outside of a veichle) -Close quarters move, in this chapter its replaced by a pseudo combo of three-four consecutive hits

  18. E (inside of a veichle) -Metal Slug Attack

  20. C+E (with a weapon selected with D) -throw away the selected weapon, useful to pass a weapon to another player in two player co-op

D+E- Double Weapon mode (the charactes loses a life, but he'll be ready to unleash his two current weapons, if he doesnt have two, the missing one will be replaced by "H", or if the character doesnt have weapons in the slots he will get a double heavymachine gun, and for 30 seconds they will have unlimited ammo and double shot power)

  26. -Life system (usually 3) gets replaced by a lifebar system, what does that mean? That everytime our character gets hit he won't die right away, but loses a life point. Every character has 4 life points (except Ralf which has 6) and once you run out of all the life points you lose all rescued prisoners, weapons, the Special gauge resets and you get the classic CONTINUE screen.

  28. -Under the life points there's a "Special" gauge that lets you, once charged up, collecting yellow coins, to execute the character's special moves that are executed with specific button presses. Have to mention that the Special will activate only if the character is holding the pistol (the standard weapon for every character)

  31. Passive Ability: Pistol Professional (he holds the most effect weapon of the entire game)

  33. Special: Pressing A+E for a maximum of 3 times can shoot particularly big bullets that can beat up to 5 enemies in a row, similar to the A.P. of the Metal Slug. This projectile can only be shot left or right.

  35. -Eri Kasamoto
  36. Passive ability: Master of Grenades (other than starting with 20 grenades instead of 10, she gets double the amount from additional grenade pickups, and can decide a direction of the throw with a direction+C)

  38. Special: Pressing A+E Eri converts traditional grenades into molotovs for 30 seconds, useful for eliminating an area with many enemies in a short time.

  40. -Tarma Roving
  41. Passibe ability: Mechanic (when he's inside of a veichle, it will be stronger, more resistant and gets the "Vulcan Fix", capability that lets him shoot in a direction while moving in another direction)

Special: pressing A+E outside of a veichle, Tarma can build a motorcycle, a veichle that's gonna autodestruct itself after 60 seconds, can be used as a veichle (it won't give the player protection if the cycle gets hit, the player will get hit and lose a life point). If tarma is inside a veichile, using A+B will let that veichle become invincible for 20 seconds (doesnt work on the motorcycle)

  46. Passive Ability: Weapon Expert (at the start of every level and after every CONTINUE she starts off with an "H" in one of the two weapon slots, and she will gain 50% more ammo from pickups of any weapon)

  48. Special: Sniper rifle. Pressing A+E Fio will take out her sniper rifle to inflict significant damage to any type of enemies for 30 seconds, Holding E will put Fio in a kneeling position and will be able to shoot in any direction including diagonals, losing movement or jumping until E is pressed again (pressing A+E again can interrupt this action anytime to interrupt the Special gauge usage).
