Covet: Eli was out on the floor changing out some of the best seller comics, making sure the rotation was kept up to date. He was placing the comics on the rack when suddenly he rememberd a conversation with Steph that he'd had over text, "Crap...I nearly spaced that." He looked around to see where Adam and Bliss were at.
Alexithymiaa: (Me: Wait, what conversation?)
Covet: [Carnival]
Alexithymiaa: -Adam was back in the archives, desperately attempting to reorganize the ones a recent slew of customers had torn apart and not replaced in their proper order. He let out a sigh because this was probably his least favorite job, carefully sliding a few of the comics back into place.-
Alexithymiaa: (Oh yeah that)
Tsaaq: Bliss finished wiping down tables then brought the bucket back it's hiding spot behind the counter. She went through the remainder of the line of customers and waved at them before she made her way back to the couches. She picked up her iPad resumed sitting as she crossed her legs. Her eyes peering carefully at the screen.
Covet: Eli saw Bliss at the counter and walked into the Archives, "Hey, can I steal you for a minute? We've got a slow moment and I just remembered we have an event coming up for the SGA" He asked Adam, then made his way over to the counter and to Bliss. "We have a carnival to plan for, that I had almost forgot, but Steph reminded me of. Because, she'd like to have her band play."
Alexithymiaa: "Oh, yeah sure." Adam nodded, happy to abandon his post at the archives and move toward the front of the shop, following Eli to the counter. "The carnival? Oh yeah, I forgot about that. That's where I first met a lot of ya'll. That was my first week here." He smiled in happy remembrance because it was a simplier time. "Okay, so what do we need to get in order for that?"-
Tsaaq: "Right." She hit her own forehead and went to open her notepad. "I can't believe it almost slipped my mind." She sighed, shaking her head at herself. "Well, we need vendors. Entertainment, suppose that'll be Steph's band and whomever else. We need food vendors as well, rent the area and get the rides in order. I can get all that information from prior carnivals, I'm sure."
Covet: "Of course, I've still got a list of the food vendors from last year, we just need to set a date and let the clubs and groups from the school know they can have booths up for grabs too." Eli said to them both. "Do we want set performers or do it open mic sign up like we've had before?"
Alexithymiaa: "I can put it out to the clubs and groups from school about having booths if ya'll want." He planted his hand down on the counter, shifting is weight. "We can do both? Some days planned entertainment and a day for open mic?"-
Tsaaq: She nodded her head quickly. "I like that idea. That gives everyone a chance to preform." Bliss said. She looked up from her iPad and over at the two of them. "Does Steph's band want any kind of compensation for their preformance?" She asked.
Covet: "That would be awesome Adam, Would it work out alright with you guys if we headlined Steph's band then on the planned entertainment? Uh, I don't know. I don't remember if we paid Ash's band when they played last year or not. I'll have to check in with Steph on that one."  He said trying to wrack his brain for that answer.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam nodded his head, pulling his phone from his pocket to make a few notes to himself. "That's fine with me. It's not like we have anyone else lined up at all."-
Tsaaq: "I
Tsaaq: ((Fuuuuck.))
Covet: [Noooo lol]
Tsaaq: "No harm in asking." Bliss said with a tilt of her head. "Any other ideas for the carnival or we've pretty much got this down packed? I think we do. I'm just excited... Oh wait." She paused and frowned. "We should look into some type of security for the event so I'll research that when I get home."
Covet: "I like that idea of security. With the issues we've already had I don't want any more incidents like that to come up. How does the week of the fifteenth sound to you guys? Before Finals so it shouldn't conflict with anything." Eli said putting this info down in his phone and setting up a reminder to message Steph tomorrow.
Alexithymiaa: "The week of the fifteenth sounds good to me. That should give everyone plenty of time to plan for the carnival and enjoy it and have plenty of time to study afterwards."-
Tsaaq: She nodded her head. "Fifteen sounds great. I'm going to look at the budget, we should have more than enough and we'll contact all the necesarry people. Everything should go off without a hitch." She grinned as she looked at the two of them. "Anything else?"
Covet: "Not that I can think of though, I do need to get the shop's cosplay flyer done. I am so sorry, I've spaced so much being focused on vacation. I know what I'll be up laste tonight doing." Eli said as he put his phone away, looking at the other two, "I like when things come together quickly for us like this.
Covet: *late
Alexithymiaa: "Well it feels there was only one right answer to most of the things for the carnival so it easy to plan." He smiled, shoving his phone back down into his pocket. "I'm pretty sure that covers everything. As far as I can think of anyway."-
Tsaaq: Bliss smiled. "Fantastic!" She cheered a moment. "Okay well. As long as everything is in order then... I suppose we'll just talk later when it comes to updates otherwise for now we should be fine." She said as she put down her iPad. "It's okay honey." She told Eli. "it's not like you completely forgot."
Covet: "Yeah, I'll be able to let you know what Steph says tomorrow, and I can start getting vendors called tomorrow." Eli said then nodded his head with a laugh, "Yeah, true. I would be really kicking myself for that one. I mean, May fourth, it's an important holiday " He said scoffing at himself.
Alexithymiaa: "I think it's arguably the most important holiday for a comic shop." He laughed, moving around the counter to reach down and grab a rag, quickly and effortlessly wiping down the surface of the counter.-
Tsaaq: "We can make it an annual event if that helps sales?" She suggested as she looked over to the two of them. "I think customers would like that, granted if this first event is high successful and I'm sure it will be."
Covet: "Hmm, I like this idea, and it's not like Star Wars is going out of fashion any time soon, at least not in our part of the verse." He said sounding like such a nerd. "We'll plan it out once we see how the sales wind up being after this one."
Alexithymiaa: "Well it hasn't gone out in the last forty or so years so I doubt it's really going out ever." He laughed, tossing the rag back underneath the counter and shifting over to the computer to check their batches for the evening.-
Tsaaq: She got up from the couch and got ready to clean up fro the night. "I know. That's what makes Star Wars so amazing." She sighed dreamily. "I'm so excited about this event honestly. I haven't done a Star Wars cosplay in a while. I have to figure out what I'm doing."
Covet: "Indeed, I think I might actually go darkside this time." Eli said with a grin looking over at Bliss, then he checked the time, "Wow, it got late quick. Before I forget Adam, I need you to sign this, and then I'll make sure your hourly wage is adjusted  for this next paycheck." Eli said moving behind the counter to grab the file that had all of Adam's paperwork stuff in it, that he'd pulled out, placing it on the counter grabbing him a pen.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam picked up the pen and craned his neck so he could scan over the paperwork because he never signs anything without actually reading it first because he's not a dumbass. Leaning over, he signed his name on the line marked for him, setting the pen down on the counter. "I really appreciate this, Eli."-
Tsaaq: She went to sweep about the shop and looked between the two of them. "Is there anything else you need me to do before we close Eli?" She called out, trying to mind her business cause otherwise she'd be all nosey.
Covet: "No problem, Have a good night, we'll get the rest of this closed up" Eli said taking the file so he could put it back in the office, He looked over at Bliss, "I think all we need to do is lock the door count the til, and hit the lights."
Alexithymiaa: "Great. I'll talk to ya'll tomorrow then." He moved over to the computer to clock himself out, sending the two a wave before heading out of the shop and down to his truck to head home.-
Tsaaq: She waved at him before going towards the counter. She opened the cash drawer so she could count the money. "Have a good night Adam." She called out then looked over to Eli. "Today was productive."
Covet: "Goodnight." He called out to Adam then looked at Bliss, " Indeed it was. He held the folder to his chest and went to go lock the door and set the alarm, double checking everything before making his way back over to Bliss. "I just need to file this away and we're good to go upstairs."
