>big muscley student approaches rudy
>rudy is at his desk studying or whatever
>"I got a problem, heard you know a guy"
>rudy smiles, "yeah, I do."
>when is the soonest they can meet?
>"I'll let him know as soon as I can", and fucks off
>going into 1st period, through the hallway
>conner bursts out of a locker inches away from him
>"right, so what can I do for you?" conner asks
>he's got a test in less than an hour and he has no pencils for it.
>"and what can you do for me?"
>trades a dragonsword for a #2pencil
>conner inspects sword
>alright time to try dragon-hunting
>transition to being at friend's place (same shot of sword in hand, bg changes)
>friend is supportive of it
>conner doesn't really go on adventures (or much anyways)
>doesn't know where to find dragons
>friend draws out a map for him ("pass Hero's summit, then take a left on hellhound highway..")

>sudden footgrab, squeals
>oh, it's just conner on the floor...and a trail of blood?

>chat while friend tends to his wounds
>"you made it back in better condition than last time. finally find your calling?"
>"nah, it's..it's not my thing"
"oh, sorry man"
>"-but that means I'm one more try closer to finding that!" conner resolves, pumped

>friend sits next "conner" (a straw doll or illusion to fool staff)
>overhears someone having a dilemma
>(dialogue contintues over next scene of them approaching conner)
>"oh that? that can easily be fixed by next period"
>(conner looks at the sword sternly, before easing and putting it away in his big-ass backpack)

>(conner notices the person)
>"I know a guy"
>(connor smiles slyly and makes a confident stance, head held high)
