  1. DARKWOOD REVIEW - by Torgo

  3. It's a bloody masterpiece of surreal horror. No zombies, ghosts or other trash, this is surreal visceral horror, to rattle the core of your brainstem, reminiscent of Eraserhead, Pathologic, ZdzisΕ‚aw BeksiΕ„ski, James Gleeson, Stanislaw Lem. Addictive punchy gameplay reminiscent of STALKER: Call of Pripyat or Resident Evil (the good ones), limited resources, rogue elements, a fascinating, eerie story, brilliantly told with masterful fully-illustrated and animated story/dialogue sections. Best game I've played in the last 12 months, looking forward to my second playthrough. The devs are great guys, they put their game on "a well-known torrent site" because they want people to play it, that's how much they care about their artform. This game is a masterpiece and devs like this need our support. Darkwood game is tough as nails but deeply satisfying and the spookiest thing I've played since Alien Isolation. More-spooky in fact. This game is truly unique in terms of the gameplay: the mix of genres, the environmental storytelling, the art, and the haunting surreal world. Totally addictive and unforgettable. I'll never sleep again. But the forest is calling me back, I must return. Highly recommended, if you don't get this game then the Chicken Lady's deformed sister will eat you.

  5. The devs posted this with their torrent, it's fascinating and tells more about them and their project, worth a read, it's what inspired me to get the game: https://imgur.com/a/xVhDz
