  1. >Order out night in Equestria.
  2. >Fifteen minutes.
  3. >You've been sitting in this car for fifteen fucking minutes, waiting for Celestia to come back with your food.
  4. >Of all the things that ended up in Equestria with you, you're actually pretty happy your car was one of them.
  5. >A roomy, dirty old thing but it was yours.
  6. >Just as good was finding out that Equestria has an Applebee's located in Canterlot.
  7. >You'd seen them in Mexico so it stands to reason that there would be one here.
  8. >Who's reasoning?
  9. >Fuck you, that's who.
  10. >Tonight however, you were not behind the wheel.
  11. >Nor were you in the passenger seat.
  12. >Instead you were seated in the back along with the dark night herself, princess Luna.
  13. >While you had drawn the long straw to pick where you and the princesses of the sun and moon would get your take out, Celestia won the rights to drive tonight.
  14. >You'd taught her how and she won that staring contest fair and square, you think.
  15. >Fucking laser pointer got you out of nowhere but you couldn't prove it was her so here you are.
  16. >Despite the leg room for humans, having an Alicorn drive your car involved her laying on the front seats like a couch so she could sit comfortably while working the pedals and steering with her magic.
  17. >You told her they have car side to go.
  18. >She said she placed her order on time.
  19. >The buck toothed colt in charge of running orders to cars claimed they never got your order so Celestia herself got down to speak to the manager.
  20. >With how long it's taking, they're probably making it fresh since it's their princess who's waiting for it.
  21. >Still, she even took the fucking keys with her.
  22. "Bitch..."
  23. >Luna being the smaller sister fit quite snugly here in the backseat with you although why Celestia insisted she come when Luna prefers waiting at the castle you don't know.
  24. >What you do know is why Luna stays home and declines going out for rides.
  25. >How do you know?
  26. >Because at the moment, she's curled up into a ball next to you and trembling madly while muttering things about "the cold gray", "dark side of the moon" and you swear you heard her ask if Major Tom was there.
  27. >Apparently her time in the moon left her with a bad case of claustrophobia.
  28. >Poor thing, you actually feel kinda bad but whenever a pony walks past your car, she rushes to window and begins tapping at it, begging for their attention.
  29. >Most ponies are instantly put off by her strange behavior and run off or simply try to ignore the blue Alicorn on the other side of the glass.
  30. >You wanted to crack the windows open for her but unfortunately for you both, power windows don't work without the keys.
  31. >Obviously you tried opening the doors, but when you pulled the handle, it just snapped off like the 2000 dollar clunker it is.
  32. >Upon seeing that, Luna panicked and tried all the other handles at the same time.
  33. >When they too broke, she followed their pattern and curled up into her current fetal position.
  34. >Looking at your watch, you note that it's about kickoff time for the game before letting out an exasperated sigh.
  35. >There's no way some pony is gonna walk by and help out now.
  36. >Luna on the other hand has begun hyperventilating.
  37. "Hey, Luna? Don't worry. She'll be back soon."
  38. >"She's not coming back! Don't you see? She never intended for me to come back from the moon, so now she's abandoned you as well as I here. She just wants to sweep me under the rug and forget me like all of pony kind did before." Tears form in the corner of her eyes and she resumes her rapid and now hitched breathing.
  39. >Instinctively you reach out to hold her but remembering her phobia you stop yourself and settle for placing a hand on her wither.
  40. "Luna. Listen to me. Your sister loves you and she's thankful every day that you came back to her. She's sorry for what happened and she'd take it all back if she could."
  41. >Fighting back her tears she leans her head on your shoulder.
  42. >"I know that Anonymous. It's just so hard to not be scared. There are times when I close my eyes and fear that when I open them I'll once again be trapped within the moon, MY moon. I can't look at it without remembering either why I ended up there or what it was like being there and it terrifies me. I don't want to be alone like that again."
  43. >Taking a risk and pulling her in against you, she freezes momentarily before resuming her previous trembling, albeit more subdued.
  44. "You'll never be alone as long as I'm around."
  45. >She raises up her head as she looks into your eyes with tears staining her coat under her own.
  46. >"Do you mean that?"
  47. >You reach forward to wipe some of the dampness out from under her shimmering cyan eyes.
  48. "With all my heart."
  49. >She leans back in to nuzzle your face.
  50. >"Thank you Anonymous, it's good to know I have you in my life."
  51. "Not a problem. Now that you've settled down I wanna try something."
  52. >She returns to her seat while you climb forward into the front and pop open the glove box.
  53. >Grabbing a screw driver you return to the back seat and begin removing screws from the door panel.
  54. >Luna watches over your shoulder and casts a small light from her horn to help you see in the dimly lit portion of the parking lot.
  55. >Once the panel is disconnected from the door, you reach inside and feel around for the latch the door handle normally pulls on and with a bit of effort you get it open.
  56. >As soon as the door swings out a little, Luna leaps over your lap and bursts out to run around the parking lot in glee.
  57. >"Sweet freedom! Thank you Anonymous!" She shouts as she runs up to hug your midsection when you step out of the car.
  58. >Smirking at her, she lets out a tiny cough before composing herself.
  59. >"It seems I wasn't as calm as I thought." She rubs a forehoof against her other leg before looking up at you.
  60. >"Perhaps you'd like to help me relax a little more?"
  61. >Surprised by her invitation, you mumble a positive response before crawling back into the car with her following suit.
  62. >Before closing the door behind her, she asks if you can get it open again and you assure her you can.
  63. >Letting out a sigh of relief, she lays down on top of you and closes the door.
  64. >Meanwhile, from her booth inside the restaurant, Celestia eyes the dark corner of the parking lot and once the car begins rocking side to side, she smiles knowingly and returns her attention to the television as she enjoys her grilled tilapia with mango salsa and takes a swig of her brewtus before yelling at the screen, "Oh come on! Do I have to go over there and show you how to throw it!?!"
  65. >Killing the beer, she slams the empty glass on the table and yells for a waiter to get her another.
  66. >Back in the car, you rub Luna's tummy as she kicks her rear leg out happily in response.
  67. >"I was expecting you to take this further."
  68. "C'mon, I'm a little more romantic than settling for the parking lot of an Applebee's. Doesn't mean I'm not adventurous though, so let's wait for Celestia to pass out later and do it in her bed next to her."
  69. >"You're a mad man Anonymous, and I love it."
  70. >Today was a good day and tonight promises to be even better.
