Good day!

I regret to inform you that I will not be able to attend the policy-making meeting on Thursday.

Inasmuch as I am aversive to the notion of being drilled, my midterm examinations span a whole week and even though I do not have exams on Thursday, I must use the time I have come said day to review for the unit-heavy subjects.
