- Trystan had nodded at her as he approached with their newest addition, giving her a look that mirrored what he'd said mere moments ago.
- 'If this goes wrong, this is all on you.' Their track record with saving people thus far was not something she was proud of. She couldn't save Ciri from the Black Runners and he couldn't save Zaxby from himself. 'We're not saviors. This world has no place for people like that anymore.' But that didn't mean they couldn't try, right?
- "Lead the way, Mariella." She nodded and motioned to continue down the path, humming a quiet song as she took point. Hopefully it would help Zoey navigate a bit easier. The forest's undergrowth was thick and difficult to navigate but after what she figured to be about 20 minutes of navigating the woods, they came out onto a neighborhood street lined with burned out cars and trucks. The homes on either side of the street seemed to be in good enough order for any of them to serve as temporary shelter should they need it, but putting more distance between them and those Origin agents was her number one priority.
