- Jumpyluff's 1500 Follower Special!
- Splits: http://i.imgur.com/PPPj8F3.png
- Sup guys! Thank you all for your support throughout my time streaming, it's been a blast and it's pleasing to know that people actually like watching me muddle around in video games <3
- Anywho, this is a thingo that I'll be doing for you guys. A 40-ish hour stream, woohoo! This'll include a bunch of stuff I've been working on since I started speedrunning.
- Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - 100% (PB = 1:36:44)
- BUT JUMPYLUFF CRASH 1 ISN'T ON THE LIST. Hey, I'm bad at that game. This is a game that I'm somewhat decent at if you ask me. This is actually one of the first games I started running long long ago, around the time TWEWYPlayer ran it, which was.. so so long ago. I have picked it up again recently and have been slowly improving.
- Crash Bandicoot: Warped - 105% (PB = 3:38:49)
- The first time I ever joined a call with all the big Spyro/Crash runners was before I could stream and it was a race of this category. I was on a very terrible PS1, but I managed to get a 4:47:xx iirc. I hadn't practiced before, I didn't know any strats, but I was immediately half-way decent for a blind-ish runner.
- A Bug's Life (PS1) - 100% (PB/WR = 1:34:58)
- I spent a LONG time routing this before I did only 2 runs of the category before I dropped it. I beat WHiPCPL on my first go because I actually took the time to route it before starting into runs. My time is good, but I can improve it to maybe 1:2x:xx someday, who knows.
- Spyro the Dragon - 120% (PB = 1:36:52)
- This was THE FIRST game I started running. I was really excited when I got a sub 1 in Any% when I raced Surreal_ and TWEWYPlayer. Again, this was a long long time ago. Now, I'm in the top 5 in this category. Of course a Spyro Trifecta will be in this marathon.
- Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage - 100% (PB = 1:53:51)
- One of my favorite games of all time and definitely my favorite speedgame thus far. Hell, it may even be one of my favorite categories in the game as well. Now that I finally have a route down in my head and it isn't driving me nuts, I'm having fun with the category again.
- Spyro: Year of the Dragon - 117% (PB/WR = 3:32:09)
- When I first joined the Spyro community, the runners of this category hadn't yet subbed the 4. We worked very hard on the category and I got my time down much lower than anybody else. I currently hold the record by nearly four minutes! It's amazing how fast you can beat these games, really. This will conclude the Spyro block.
- Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure - All Gems (PB = N/A)
- The latest speedgame I picked up! I love this category because it does fun stuff without the relics, which are complete bullshit. It's honestly one of the best GBA games out there, very very underrated. Just enjoy watching it, you won't regret it.
- Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced - All Gems (PB = N/A)
- The second installment of Crash Bandicoot on the GBA. If it weren't for you needing PLATINUM relics (plus one gold, weird programming), I would have done THA 101% and NT 101%. To keep the consistency between the 2 games, I put them both at All Gems, which I can deal with.
- Super Mario 64 - 120 Star (PB = 3:24:26)
- I put this in the special as a joke or a finale or something, but then I decided to do a few runs before and oh my god it's so much fun improving like this. I went from a 5:49 to a 4:05 to a 3:24. I can expect a PB in the special I believe, so get hype for a great ending!
- Thank you all so much for the support! I hope many of you can stick around for the hours and hours of this marathon. I'm sure it'll be loads of fun <3
- As a side note, this was meant to be 40ish hours. I cut Ape Escape 100%, CTR 101%, Spyro EtD 100%, and Jak and Daxter 100% from the marathon. I cut Ape Escape because I have never done a run and starting out with something I'm not familiar with isn't the best idea for something like this. Demotivation would set in quickly. CTR was cut because it's over 3 1/2 hours of pure and utter ResidentSleeper. I'd be bored by it and surely everybody else would. I didn't want to cut Jak and Daxter 100%, but as I've been learning it (and getting really decent at it), I keep softlocking in Snowy Mountain, which is over an hour and a half in. I'd rather be able to finish my runs rather than risk losing it that far in. It's unfortunate and I'm sorry, but it's honestly not worth the risk. But trust me, I will sub 2:10 in that category in the near future, I'm not bad at the game <3 Also, I cut out Spyro EtD 100% because I would rather keep it as a Spyro Trifecta or go to a Quinfecta, but not a Quadfecta. As I don't know AHT, I'll just keep EtD out of it as well. I'm sure nobody would want to see it anyway.
