  1. (Juno Victricia) || After having picked up the mission off the mission board, those who are able to attend travel close to Castrum Meridianum. As stated in the information, it is of high importantance that both Juno and Kaius are recruited. Upon arriving at the Processing Plant, a moogle approches the group with a small note that simply reads "Forward Gates."
  2. (Momi Hajinne) glances around, noticing the mail moogle? Message moogle? He seems a bit...distant today. Keeping his arms folded tightly against himself and muttering, "S-so...we just g-go...?"
  3. (Alexois Valeriant) raised an eyebrow at the moogle. "I guess so?" he said more like a question than a statement. He thought delivery moogles were ridiculous anyways.
  4. (Momi Hajinne) reaches back to rummage in the folds of his clothes, pulling out a small worn map of thanalan, "Mm...ye-yes...pe-perhaps we just mo-move to the gates leading n-northward..." He says, starting to walk.
  5. (Meria Boucher) Meria looks around, pausing briefly to see if there are more messages by the gate.
  6. (Alexois Valeriant) glances around the area. "That stupid thing led us no where. Its desolate here."
  7. (Momi Hajinne) looks down at his little map, trying to wipe away a stain made by tea, "Hm...so...Meridium...w-would be no-north west..." He lifts a finger and points in that direction, "Bu-but how do-do we know wh-which are the people we-we're looking for...?"
  8. (Juno Victricia) glances to Kaius as she waits, tapping her fingers on the rock underneath her. "I trust you are ready? I am giving you this opportunity so do not ruin it for us."
  9. (Meria Boucher) "Perhaps the forward gate simply refers to the 'Forward Gate of Castrum Meridium"."
  10. (Momi Hajinne) tilts his head down at the map, "O-only one way to find out..." He keeps it in one hand as he keeps walking along the path.
  11. (Meria Boucher) "We may get those answers there."
  12. (Momi Hajinne) sighs, "I am n-not o-overfond of th-this place...a-ah...is that th-the gate...?"
  13. (Kaius Laminus) smirks at Juno. "Of course ma'am. I'm a proud imperial soldier after all."
  14. (Meria Boucher) "...This is... How peculiar."
  15. (Meria Boucher) "Wait, Mister Momi. Show me that map?"
  16. (Momi Hajinne) shrugs and holds it out, the northern area is stained with tea.
  17. (Alexois Valeriant) looked up at the large imposing gate. "They must be around here somewhere. I highly doubt they have clearance to let us inside, so my guess is somewhere along the perimeter."
  18. (Momi Hajinne) glances at Alex, "I-it doesn't hurt t-to just f-follow the wall..."
  19. (Meria Boucher) She squints. "Mister Momi," she inquires. "Is there, perhaps, any chance that there is a place matching the note we were given in this stained, unintelligable area of map?"
  20. (Juno Victricia) "Good to hear, follow my lead and all shall go as planned." SHe glances around the area. "If they can even find us." She rolls her eyes a bit, relaxing further back on the rock.
  21. (Momi Hajinne) ponders this, "P-perhaps...mmm..." He thinks, then snaps his clawed fingers, "Ah! I-I think th-there is a secondary ga-gate further north..."
  22. (Momi Hajinne) "Whether it is forward o-or not I-I don;t re-really know..."
  23. (Meria Boucher) "Let us head north along the wall, then. And... perhaps try not to get noticed along the way."
  24. (Meria Boucher) Meria glances down at her attire. It was her who made the 'white-coat sneaking mistake' this time, but bugger it all, this place is warm.
  25. (Momi Hajinne) pauses noticing figures in the distance and immediately hiding behind Meria, "..."
  26. (Alexois Valeriant) used his elf eyes and saw two figures in the distance. "A viera and a hyur. It would appeart to be them."
  27. (Meria Boucher) Meria boucher does not incline to comment on the futility of the enormous pink man hiding behind her diminuitve form. "Diplomacy is not particularly my strong suit," Meria says, looking to Alexois. "Should we approach?"
  28. (Kaius Laminus) glanced toward the approacing group before speaking to Juno. "Looks like they're here. Let's get on with this."
  29. (Juno Victricia) was quick to spot the group that had approached, her hand going for her sword but stalling a moment. "This may be the ones we were waiting for. " She mumbles to Kaius before jumping off of the rock. She arpproaches with a friendly appearance. "Our new associates, I assume?"
  30. (Alexois Valeriant) shrugged at Meria. "I am not good at talking to people. But I suppose we should go see what they want."
  31. (Momi Hajinne) doesn't look at Kaius or Juno head on, muttering, "...Batachikhan's associates y-y-yes...c-come to...aid yo-you..." He fusses with an ear due to nerves.
  32. (Artani Dazkar) opted to remain silent for the moment, pressing her lips together for a second as she watched the two approach.
  33. (Meria Boucher) Meria Boucher looks between the four of them, and it is only then that she realizes the horrible mistake that
  34. has been made. Well. "Hello there," she introduces herself, giving them a formal bow. "I am Meria Boucher. We would be honored to call you our new associates."
  35. (Juno Victricia) stares a Momi particularly for a long moment, a very subtle smirk overcoming her before she turned to Meria. "Ah good, then you are the right people. Can never be too careful in such territory." She gives them a salute. "Juno Sas Victricia." She then gestures a hand to Kaius.
  36. (Kaius Laminus) look from Juno to the group ahead. "Kaius Pyr Laminus." He gave a salute. "...Nice to meet you"
  37. (Momi Hajinne) makes a soft scoffing noise at Jino's words, folding his arms tighter about himself, "Tribunus A-angusticlavius...a-and a-an assistant..."
  38. (Alexois Valeriant) rolled his eyes at all the formality. "What is this task you need done?" he jumped right into it, wanting to get down to business.
  39. (Momi Hajinne) sas is highest a non garlean can acheive and can lead a castrum
  40. (Momi Hajinne) WOOP
  41. (Meria Boucher) Meria is just leaving her body and trying to let any Isghardian protocols that managed to be rammed into her head take over. "We prize efficiency, and would see your needs met as soon as possible." The complete emotionlessness of her voice kind of spoils the effect, but she's... trying??? Very hard to be polite.
  42. (Juno Victricia) her gaze went to Alex a moment, the smirk more present now. "Right to business, I can appreciate that." She takes a moment to size them up before continuing. "But yes, we do have a shall little task for you. I would see how competent you all are at getting things done." She waves a hand, walking around casually. "I trust you know of the many Castrums the great empire has built here in Eorzea?"
  43. (Artani Dazkar) "-Very- familiar." She spoke civilly, but she allowed a note of sharp derision.
  44. (Momi Hajinne) mutters, "U-unfortunately..." He looks up only slightly, "Th-this one...i-is located in a pr-prime location to o-oversee Ce-Ceruleaum mi-mining...wh-what of them?"
  45. (Meria Boucher) Meria Boucher does not, because who the hell would try to build a Castrum in Isghard, so she remains silent and hopes she can slide by on Artani and Momi's knowledge.
  46. (Juno Victricia) smiles at that apparent knowledge. "Then you would know of the one in Mor Dhona? Castrum Centri? Tis in a lovely location." She muses a moment, resting a hand to her hip. "Anyways, to the point. There has been rumor of corrupt officers and lax regulations. If we are to keep up our line of communication, this can't possibly be allowed." She digs into her pocket to pull out a small chip. "I have been given Magitek bugs, listening devices, to be planted among certain locations."
  47. (Alexois Valeriant) "And you need outsiders to do this because?" he asked. "Wouldn't that makes it far more conspicuous then if you were to do it?"
  48. (Meria Boucher) "I am afraid I must second Mister Valeriant's inquiry. What about this requires it to go beyond an internal affair?"
  49. (Artani Dazkar) "And what's to stop you from pinning the blame on us outsiders, should things go south?"
  50. (Meria Boucher) "...Well, that is indeed one possible motive for their request. It would simply be proper to clarify such details up front."
  51. (Momi Hajinne) mutters "I-it i-is a risky si-situation to-to ask us to en-enter considering w-we are offering y-you space i-in Eorzea."
  52. (Momi Hajinne) "E-especially sa-safe innocuous sp-space." He looks up, "I a-assume yo-you are Populares...o-otherwise y-you would ha-have no interest in the he-help of "Savages"."
  53. (Juno Victricia) the friendly apperance that Juno had carried for so long began to crack. Her smile turning much more viciously cruel. "Eorzeans do love their questions, don't they?" She glances to Kaius for a brief moment, then walks pointedly in front of the group. "You will do as I told you, if you wish for our cooperation. If you were under my command you would already be knee deep in a trench." She pauses, looking between them all with that same unchanging expression. "But let's not start off on the wrong >
  54. (Juno Victricia) foot, yes? As I stated before, it is to insure you can complete any task regardless of what the challenges are. If I were to already be planning on betraying you at the drop of a pin, I could have called upon the Castrum we stand just outside of.”
  55.
  56. (Momi Hajinne) removes his weapon from his back, his usually calm and shy demenor flipping like a coin, "Keep distance Imperial scum." He saus without a stammer, "We'll do yer dammed job. But keep yer filthy aura off a'us."
  57. (Meria Boucher) "If we were under your command, we would have more context into the task that is being asked of us. It would help to understand the logistical nuances behind the operation."
  58. (Alexois Valeriant) felt rather annoyed being ordered around, especially when she had no authority over them whatsoever. "Listen. I just dont want to end up in imperial prison simply to get you to trust us, or whatever you have in mind. I don't give a shit if you trust us. I just want to know that reward is worth the risk."d
  59. (Kaius Laminus) walked up behind Juno and loudly cleared his throat, "Praefectus. I am sure they meant no dissrespect. They are simply a... wary lot. It is not a trait to be admonished."
  60. (Meria Boucher) She glances back at the viera behind her, and takes a slight step to put herself in front of the man as much as she can. Is she being... protective? "Mister Momi; all is well," she murmurs. "This is a bad location to start an altercation. I will try to keep you safe."
  61. (Artani Dazkar) didn't step back, but rested her fingers lightly on the tops of her blades. "Last I checked, we weren't your underlings." She tipped her head slightly to one side, eyes narrowing. "And -I- have no incentive to blindly follow orders, especially from you."
  62. (Juno Victricia) "My, what language. Is this how all of your company acts upon request of companionship?" She turns more to Meria and Alex. "I will be joining you, I imagine it would not be ideal to be seen with an outside source such as you lot. I am risking plenty to ensure this company was what I was told." When Kaius speaks, she sighs, acknowleging his words.
  63. (Momi Hajinne) growls, "Go to hell. Like yer lot are...are..." The soark in his eyes fades and he's left looking tired and confused, "I..." He looks at his weapon, then sets it away. Falling silent.
  64. (Meria Boucher) "I would like to politely say that we are quite amicable and competent workers, however part of the nature of the Free Companies of Eorzea is a rather... independent mindset. To see this task brought to a thorough and mutually beneficial conclusion, may I politely request that you respect that you are not in a position of command over us, and rather treat us as equals who wish to simply ask preliminary questions before proceeding?"
  65. (Meria Boucher) Meria glances back at Momi, and then offers her only hand. Does. Does he want hand-holds. How does she comfort someone. What is human affection.
  66. (Momi Hajinne) looks at the hand for a long moment, then after a soft sigh escapes him he takes it and squeezes it. Keeping his eyes down, "...th-thank you..."
  67. (Alexois Valeriant) nodded in agreement with Meria. "You are the ones who want to join us right? Then lets just get this over with and cut the animosity. A job is a job. Just tell us what to do."
  68. (Meria Boucher) "...Along with any assets we will have, such as maps of the layout and target locations, along with anything we may need to know about the proper installation of the required items." Meria, again, completely lacks emotion, but she does return the squeeze.
  69. (Juno Victricia) turns her head , rubbing a finger into her forehead. "If I had known this would be so..." She mumbles to herself before waving a hand at them. "Our intent has no ill will towards your group. Miss Dalamiq and I found a mutal understanding in one another, and thought to bring it to fruituation. I supply her with the knoweldge of Garlemald she seeks, in tern Kaius and I are provided an area to expand the Populares ideal. You must excuse me, as this 'freedom' you speak of it not something I know.">
  70. (Juno Victricia) "But I would like to get to our task as soon as possible, nothing is being acomplished amidst standing."
  71. (Momi Hajinne) mutters "The po-populares is a meaningless wo-word..." He says, though there's little venom, "Th-they have asked mu-multiple times fo-for a breifing o-of the mission...so ge-get on with it..."
  72. (Juno Victricia) "Their are locations I would have these bugs planted, it is as simple as it sounds. I have the locations marked on a map of my own. Would you like to wear disguses or whatever else, is up to you." She pauses a moment. "And no one is to be fought or killed. Nor are we to be seen. I have smoke bombs if we must use them, but the Castrum will be on alert after we have been spotted once."
  73. (Meria Boucher) "Understood. Would we be allowed to have a similar map to limit the amount of verbal communication we must engage in, or would that be a security risk for you?"
  74.
  75. (Alexois Valeriant) "I have no problem remaining undetected. I dont care for disguises or gimics."
  76. (Juno Victricia) "It is a very simple map, there is not much to be gleamed from it so you are more than welcome to copy it if you would like."
  77. (Meria Boucher) "That would be quite helpful. My speciality is gravitational manipulation - " A fact which Meria demonstrates by lifting a few nearby stones - "So in some cases, I'll be able to work remotely. Knowing exactly where to place things makes such things easier. I am assuming you will apprise of us an entry and exit protocol on-site; however, should the worst transpire and we are discovered, what would be the best exit protocol?"
  78. (Artani Dazkar) "Is there anything of interest we should be on the lookout for that might hinder our progress?" She folded her arms once more. "Anyone who may suspect a visit?"
  79. (Juno Victricia) "Should need be, Kaius and I are more than willing to offer distraction. But the rest of you must remain unseen. There is a sewage grate that the four of you must get through, Kaius and I shall meet you on the other side to decide where to go first. In case of emergency, there are little other areas to escape aside from the main gates and said sewer entrance."
  80. (Juno Victricia) glances a moment to Artani. "And anyone of note, should not be arriving for a matter of suns. The only thing we must look for is typical soliders and Vanguards." She gestures to the massive walking machines in the distance from where they stood.
  81. (Meria Boucher) "Understood. We will do our best to keep this from coming to pass; I understand that having to do such a thing would put your positions in jepordy. The less you can seem affiliated with us in any way, the better it is for you. I believe my questions have been satisfied for now."
  82. (Artani Dazkar) nodded, glancing to the others. "Shall we move while we still have the night?"
  83. (Momi Hajinne) nods his head slowly, releasing Meria's hand from his death grip and inhaling deeply, "Mm..."
  84. (Juno Victricia) nodded. "Lets." She stated simply before heading for said Castrum.
  85. (Momi Hajinne) WHICH DONA
  86. (Momi Hajinne) 1
  87. (Momi Hajinne) ?
  88. (Momi Hajinne) 1
  89. (Juno Victricia) as they arrived just outside the Castrum, Juno turned to the group. "Your entrance shall be off to the side, there." She points to a sewer grate that led into the fortress. "It remains unguarded. We shall meet you on the other side."
  90. (Momi Hajinne) watches where Juno points, eyes glinting in the dim light as he begins moving ahead, "Q-quietly th-then..."
  91. (Momi Hajinne) scans the area with his eyes before he crouches down and proceeds through the pipe un-pooped.
  92. (Meria Boucher) Meria follows, privately glad that she, as well, has escaped interacting with feces.
  93. (Alexois Valeriant) army crawls through the pipe, the space a bit tight for his large frame. He still manages to make it through unscathed.
  94. (Juno Victricia) had moved through the gate with relative ease, insuring the guards were none the wiser as the other four managed through un-pooped.
  95. (Artani Dazkar) slipped through quickly and smoothly, stepping out into the grass cautiously.
  96. (Alexois Valeriant) glanced around him with distaste. He hated the military, and certainly didn't want to be here on an installation. His eyes kept darting to every corner, wary of patrols.
  97. (Juno Victricia) "Now, a device." She holds out her hand with three small circle like devices. "They will need to be placed in these locations." With her other hand she gestures to said area's on the map. "It would be more ideal to move in smaller groups, or alone to avoid being detected."
  98. (Meria Boucher) "I was primarily a solo-agent during my time in the military. I feel perfectly confident with this arrangement."
  99. (Momi Hajinne) walks forward, holding a hand out, "I-I ca-can go alone a-as well..." There's a storied tone in his voice there, but considering how he bahaved before...it might be best if he did not go alone.
  100. (Momi Hajinne) Momi: *shoves a chip down a mans throat* Like this right-
  101. (Momi Hajinne) OOPS
  102.
  103. (Alexois Valeriant) "I work better alone. I don't want to be responsible for another person.."
  104. (Juno Victricia) she holds out the magitek devices out to the group once more. "If you would take them so we may begin."
  105. (Momi Hajinne) steps forward and takes a chip between his clawed, gloved fingers. Turning it over a few times, eyes narrowed, "..."
  106. (Artani Dazkar) nodded and stepped forward to take hers, examining the device suspiciously for a moment before pocketing it carefully. "I'll go alone as well. I've some experience with castrum layouts. Should be able to get in and out quickly."
  107. (Momi Hajinne) tries very hard not to eat it out of spite. He succeed.
  108. (Meria Boucher) "Then Mister Valeriant can venture solo, I will pair with Mister Momi, and Miss Artani can operate solo as well."
  109. (Juno Victricia) once all the chips are handed over, Juno points to location A on the map, then towards Alex. "Be on the look out for Vanguards, they highly patrol this area." She gestures to B, then points to Momi and Meria. "This is a highly visable area, be acutely aware of your surroundings." She then gestures to location C, and nods to Artani. "The same for here."
  110. (Juno Victricia) also hands over a small device to each of them. "For ease of communication."
  111. (Meria Boucher) Meria allows Momi to take this as well, as he has more hands than her, unless she detects he's about to put it in his mouth... and then she is stealing that bad boy before he can sink is rabbit teeth into it.
  112. (Alexois Valeriant) nodded to Juno, adjusting his mask as he headed off to his location.
  113. (Artani Dazkar) nodded and headed out to her location.
  114. (Momi Hajinne) takes what he assumes is a linkpearl of some kind. He turns it around like he had the chip and tucks it into his ear, "Mmph..." He mutters, glancing at meria with a nervous smile, heading to location B.
  115. (Meria Boucher) Meria can't help but murmur - her voice as low as she can make it - "I really am quite impressed by your pastel-clad sneaking prowess.
  116. (Juno Victricia) as everyone leaves to their duty, she turns to Kaius with a smile. "Now, for why we're really here." She pulls out a small device that occsionally blipped with a red light. "Father has speical need of Soliders infused with aether from Mor Dhona for study." She presses a button on the device and places it on the ground, then pulls out a few needles. "I merely need you to distract them while I draw their blood."
  117. (Momi Hajinne) looks...well not embarrassed, but he does have a sort of unease about him, "Th-that concerns me..." he says softly, "So-something feels a-amiss...I-I feel like th-the guard should be stronger...but..." He looks at the device, "Well...I-I will discuss it wi-with Batachikhan la-later...for now w-we work." He surveys the area, what's goin down. WHomst is getting chipped.
  118. (Kaius Laminus) looked down at the needles. "I wondered what you were really after." He gave a shrug. "Fair enough. Just try not to get into any more pissing matches with our new 'friends'. The last thing i need to to be caught up in any kind of commotion in a castrum."
  119. (Juno Victricia) || Location A is guarded by two Vanguards, making it impossible to reach the wall where the chip must be placed. Both locations B and C have two guards chatting in front of them.
  120. (Meria Boucher) "Oh, please do not misunderstand, I hate this. As we passed through, I identified a few alternate locations we may be able to escape from, considering my own aetheric skillset. However, for the task at hand..." She peers at their target location. "That chip looks light. How exactly does it attach to the pole?"
  121. (Juno Victricia) rolled her eyes. "They ask too many questions, and my patience is thin enough as is." She begins moving towards the first guard she spotted.
  122. (Momi Hajinne) taps his chin as he looks at the location, "...two g-guards...a sm-small distraction wo-would mean that only one wo-would be inclined to che-check..." He reloves his weapon from his back, it pulses with aether and he looks out, then chuckles, "G-good...c-cause I-I don't much trust th-those two ha-have our survival r-really in their minds."
  123. (Momi Hajinne) ok just tryin to think of....distract
  124. (Momi Hajinne) DAMMIT
  125. (Meria Boucher) "'Trust no one' is something of a family motto, so I've come to simply assume that anyone may try to kill me at any time." She looks Momi over. "Even if both did not leave their post, if both looked away, I think I would have little trouble attaching the chip. Hand it to me?"
  126. (Momi Hajinne) hands the chip over to Meria without much thought. He then smiles gently, "I-I will attempt to pro-provide th-the distraction then..." He moves forward and with a flip of his staff in a hand he aims a glare for a lighting fixture, attempting to make it explode and cause the two guards to become distracted.
  127. (Juno Victricia) || Both guards are partly blinded by the light, covering their eyes and groaning.
  128. (Alexois Valeriant) silently climbled up on top of a pile of large crates, surveying the area. A whole vanguard was blocking his way to the wall he was meant to attach the bug to. "Of course," he muttered to himself, gritting his teeth. The only real way to pull this off would be to get the lot of them to move away from the wall at once somehow.
  129. (Kaius Laminus) went to walk by before suddenly stopping and eyeing the guard. "Am I losing my mind here or were you just about to let a superior walk by without giving a proper salute?" He stalked closer. "I don't know what back water provence you came from, but as long as you serve the Empire you WILL show proper respect!"
  130. (Juno Victricia) || The guard Kaius approached quickly turned, looking flustered and confused. "W-What? No, of course not!" While he blubbered Juno went in from behind, and quickly stuck a needle into his neck. Drawing enough blood that was needed before quickly moving back beyond the wall out of sight. The guard slapped at where the needle had taken him by surprise and looked around. "What the... did a bug just?!"
  131.
  132. (Alexois Valeriant) takes note of the lamp posts alongside of the platform, illuminating the area in the darkness. He lines up an arrow and shoots out one of the far lights, sparks flying all around it. Hopefully this would not only distract the guard, but give him enough cover to move closer.
  133. (Kaius Laminus) was quick to interrupt. "And now you're making excuses? I ought to have you thrown in the gaol for insubordination!"
  134. (Juno Victricia) || The light does indeed shatter, the vanguards in the area are for the moment called away; leaving the area where the chip needed to be placed open.
  135. (Meria Boucher) Meria feels the weight of the chip, practicing levitating it in her hand for a few moments while Momi prepares to blow out the lights. As the guards are blinded, she hurtles the chip forward using the same manner of spatial manipulation magic she employs for her knives, then promptly pulls back on the speed on the last third of the distance to try to attach it gently to the pole.
  136. (Juno Victricia) || The guard Kaius yalled at continued to make random noises before running off to where he imagined the superior had gone.
  137. (Artani Dazkar) crouched nearby, watching the guards irritably as she considered her method of distraction. Nodding once, she slipped her fingers into her pocket, drawing out a tiny metal bulb. When thrown, it would ideally create sparks and smoke like broken machinery for a few minutes. A quick toss hopefully sent the little device past the guards' unsuspecting feet and into the grass near the metal wall further away, where the sparks and smoke would start on impact.
  138. (Juno Victricia) approaches from behind the pillar, tucking away the vial. "Well, I suppose that will do it. Who knew you could be so aggressive." She laughed a moment before looking around for another guard to poke.
  139. (Meria Boucher) As she tries to control its more delicate placement, the distance - and honestly, the lack of weight, something that's quite unfamiliar for her to work with - causes the chip to, instead of attaching neatly to the pole, fall onto the ground about a foot away. There is a quiet hiss of displeasure from the woman.
  140. (Kaius Laminus) gave a mocking laugh. "Let's just get on with this. I don't want to be in this place any longer than I have to."
  141. (Artani Dazkar) It seemed as if the sparkbomb was a dud - the small metal device rolled harmlessly into the grass without setting off any sparks, prompting a deadpan glare from its owner.
  142. (Juno Victricia) || For the time being it seems no guards or mechs have caught wind of the group. The Vanguard once at A will not return for one more round. Both guards at B & C look around but are blind to any intrutors.
  143. (Momi Hajinne) watches the chip fall, pouting a bit as it decides not to stick, "D-damn...so-some garlean te-tech..." He holds his staff forward a bit, keeping his gaze on the guards as he carefully uses Aero to finesse the chip up and onto the pole.
  144. (Juno Victricia) smiles as she pulls out another needle. "I really only need two, and this one should be easy enough. I spotted a guard lazing just outside the gates." She rolls her eyes. "Further proof this Castrum is as they say."
  145. (Alexois Valeriant) swiftly descended from his perch and made his way and quietly as possible to the wall. With the light out and his all black attire he was confident he would not be spotted. He took out the device and affixed it to the wall.
  146. (Meria Boucher) Once Momi has picked up the chip, it becomes far easier for her to detect, and stretching out her hand, she tries to lend her own aetheric aid to the process and push it against the pole. Stick, damn you!
  147. (Kaius Laminus) quietly approached the lounging guard until he was but a few fulms from him. "What do we have here?! Napping on imperial time are we?"
  148. (Artani Dazkar) decided to try a different tactic this time. From her pocket came another small ball, one that would release a cloud of aetheric smoke meant to make one extremely drowsy and quicker to forget what they saw. She let this one roll across the ground to lightly hit against one of the guards' feet like an errant beetle, releasing the smoke.
  149. (Juno Victricia) || Juno had moved behind the guard while he was woken, slightly disoriented as he stared at Kaius confused. "W-What? Who?!" Juno laughed under her breath while stabbing him (gently) in the neck. Pulling back quickly and hiding beyond the rock. The guard touching at his neck similar to the last. "What was that?!"
  150. (Juno Victricia) || The smoke is successful! Both guards at C dropping to the ground in slep
  151. (Meria Boucher) After watching with bated breath for a few seconds, waiting to see if the chip falls, Meria allows herself a single, small bounce on her heels in pride. "Good work," she says softly to Momi.
  152.
  153. (Momi Hajinne) exhales slowly, glad the chip decided to stay. He puts his staff away, the glow of aether vanishing as he speaks, "We-we should le-leave now..."
  154. (Kaius Laminus) "Silence! I'll give you to the count of three to get your sorry arse up and moving back to your post! 1..."
  155. (Juno Victricia) || The Guard that had been needled quickly stumbled to his feet, mumbling a "yes, sir!" Before running off towards his post. Meanwhile inside the Castrum, a patrol unit starts to approach group B & C. They notice something odd and start to appraoch (will arrive in one turn).
  156. (Alexois Valeriant) narrowed his eyes in annoynce at the chip. "Piece of shit," he mumbled as he slapped it against the wall again."
  157. (Momi Hajinne) watches the partol start to stray from the path, unsure of how Artani was doing, he tsks and removes his cane yet again. Preparing to cast repose he mutters to Meria, "Ch-check on Artani...le-let them kn-know a patrol i-is inbound if I ca-cant sleep them..."
  158. (Meria Boucher) After a swift nod, Meria presses her back flush against the large metal pillar they're hiding near, making herself less visible as she uses the communicator.
  159. (Juno Victricia) rolls her eyes at the guard as he flees, pocketing the needle she moves back into the Casturm to secure the needles into the device. "It's been long enough, where are the others?" She mumbles with slight annoyance.
  160. (Momi Hajinne) makes his move, kneeling down and holding his cane in both hands, gathering all the aether he can in an attempt to make the spell particularly potent, "Dr-dream now..." He mutters, casting, a dreamy haze moving over the patrol.
  161. (Juno Victricia) || The Patrol also fall over, asleep for the time being.
  162. (Momi Hajinne) stands, setting his cane away, "Th-this will d-do for n-now...we-we should move..." He turns to Meria, then his eyes move towards the direction of an exit point.
  163. (Meria Boucher) Meria nods, and after hearing Juno's message, begins to return alongside Momi.
  164. (Artani Dazkar) With the guards asleep, Artani sprinted over and pressed her device into the wall quickly, letting her fingers linger for a second or two before slipping away to heard for their entrance.
  165. (Juno Victricia) smiles as they reconvene. "I trust the mission went as planned, I did not hear any alarms." She pulls out a small Magitek screen. "And it would appear the chips are working as intended. Good."
  166. (Alexois Valeriant) "That seemed like a hell of a lot of trouble for something you could have done easily..." Alex said with a hint of annoyance.
  167. (Momi Hajinne) mutters, "I a-am perplexed..." he admits, "Th-that someone wh-who is a-as...bossy a-as you wa-was not present t-to oversee o-our behavior i-in your turf."
  168. (Meria Boucher) "We encountered no real difficulties on our end."
  169. (Artani Dazkar) "Surprisingly easy. I worry about the guards waking later, but we'll be long gone before there'd be a commotion."
  170. (Juno Victricia) continues to stare at the screen before handing it to Kaius. "If I were overseeing you, how could we learn to trust one another? You could have easily killed all of the guards you wanted and done it that way as well."
  171. (Juno Victricia) "I trusted you would get the job done."
  172. (Meria Boucher) "That would be silly. You easily could have found out about it later through a report."
  173. (Momi Hajinne) narrows his eyes, the doubt is strong, palpable even, "O-of course...su-sure..."""trust"""."
  174. (Kaius Laminus) took the screen. His eyes went from the pink one back to the screen. "Having us hover over you would defeat the entire purpose of splitting the group. Our did you would you have liked us to hold your hand the entire time?"
  175. (Momi Hajinne) "Forgi-give me errand bo-boy if this mission se-seems pointless wh-when you two could ea-easily take care o-of your own business.:
  176. (Alexois Valeriant) rolled his eyes, wishing Poti was here so he could say something like, 'this bitch thinks we're stupid.'" he said nothing though, realizing arguing about it was pointless.
  177. (Momi Hajinne) "Bu-but I-I will entertain th-that you re-really are he-here in ""good faith""..."
  178. (Meria Boucher) Meria seems to have come to that conclusion as well, and she shrugs. "It's ultimately irrelevant. Have we performed to your satisfaction to continue your dealings with our employer?"
  179. (Juno Victricia) "A building cannot stand without foundation. I'm simply glad to see you can hold your lust for some type of obvious 'revenge' on those who have done naught. A test is a test, reguardless of the task. You passed, for which I am glad. I will happily report back to Shirogane with Kaius and agree to the terms of our contract with Miss Dalamiq."
  180. (Momi Hajinne) "You a-are complicit...th-that is enough." Momi says coldly, "Populares...wh-what a joke..." He says, bitter as he walks past to go home.
  181. (Artani Dazkar) At the word "revenge", Artani simply smiled, very faintly, and very breifly.
  182. (Juno Victricia) doesn't bother to look back as the pink one leaves. Merely turning to Kaius. "I would see this estate, I will have need of my own chambers as well. I imagine you will get your picking too." She glances to the three with a smile. "It has been a pleasure."
  183. (Artani Dazkar) looked to the others. "I'm heading back as well." She gave Juno and Kaius a polite nod before heading off to find Kuro.
  184. (Kaius Laminus) chuckled as the angry bunny passed. "I don't think he likes use." He turns to the others. "I look forward to working with you in the future."
  185. (Alexois Valeriant) shrugged, glad this unpleasant interraction was overwith. Too much drama. Batachikhan better pay him well for this. He simply nodded to to the two of them indifferently as he followed after Momi, eager to return home.
  186. (Meria Boucher) "It would be a terrible idea to make a sabotage attempt in such circumstances. Too many things would skew the probability out of our favor." A pause. "...Which is probably also irrelevant, really. Regardless. We shall see you around, I imagine." She gives them a formal bow.
  187. (Meria Boucher) "Do you know the way?"
  188. (Juno Victricia) "Yes, we do. Thank you. I have visited once, I believe I can safely take us there in one piece."
  189. (Meria Boucher) "Very good, then. Is this a socially appropriate moment for me to depart as well? I know my companions already have, but I am under the impression that I should not take cues on appropriate behavior in these situation."
  190. (Meria Boucher) *from them
  191. (Juno Victricia) waved a hand. "Go, it's fine."
  192. (Meria Boucher) "Goodbye, then. I have matters to attend to." With just that - still completely monotone, what the hell - departure, Meria walks off.
