- ### Black & White 2: Redux Version 1.0 Changelog ###
- REMEMBER: The game needs to load a new land so that most of the changes take effect.
- Changes labeled with [EXE] need the optional installation files. Further information in readme.
- # ADDITIONS
- - Added land 8, land 9 and land 10
- - [EXE] Holding shift while drawing streets or walls enters a special draw mode that makes it easier to draw certain shapes
- - pressing 4 will switch between the following modes: straight line, V shape, U shape, half circle
- - pressing 2 and 3 will move the tip of the V or U shape up and down
- - pressing 1 will flip the shape or mirror it
- - AI epics now fire as player epics do
- - Added a new music system to land 7
- # AI CHANGES
- - It is more likely now that AI platoons attack player platoons first before capturing the town
- - The enemy creature will now more actively attack the player if the town is under takeover
- - Changed how siege weapons search for gate-houses to attack, they now pick a random one instead of the nearest
- - Land7: The AI will give the player a bit more time before the first attack
- - Disabled AI responding to nearby platoon attacks, it sometimes makes the AI pulling all platoons on the map to attack
- # BALANCE
- - Walls now reduce happiness
- - Villagers can carry more food and wood now
- - Changed house-capacities of norse/japanese/aztec buildings to the same as greek houses
- - Old villagers now die a bit earlier
- - Adjusted some values for sacrifices (The older the less mana you gain)
- - Land6: Increased needed impressiveness by roughly 2500
- - Land7: Increased impressiveness needed for the second and third town by roughly 3000
- - Platoons initial level now rises depending on the amount of armories the player has (Maximum level 5)
- - Reduced wood needed for an armory or workshop
- - Increased altar mana production slightly
- - Set starting villagers for most lands to 70
- - The pour-out duration of fire wonders has been heavily increased

- - Fixed player hurricane
- - In land 7 the AI won't instantly build the hurricane wonder now if your alignment is around +100%
- - Fixed a bug where AI platoons were stopping actions every few seconds if a hometown was under attack
- - Fixed a bug where AI platoons would stop doing anything if the target town is taken
- - If a town migrates or gets captured once, it doesn't migrate any longer except the enemy capital town is taken
- - Improved scripts for better performance
- - Reduced villagers in many AI towns for improved performance
- - Fixed departure portal showing up too late in land 8
- - [EXE] Fixed a bug where impressiveness decay actually started with the third building of a type, even though other parts of the game displayed it starting at the second
- # MAPS
- - Land4: Changed some texture colors
- - Land4: Added another mountain to the landscape
- # OTHER
- - Changed some values for minor objectives
- - The Advisors remind you much less of your ressources
- - When building a granary/lumbermill it now shows the fertility map
- ### What's planned? ###
- - Add some new scripts which get activated on a second playthrough to increase replayability (For example a norse with an epic)
- - 3 Skirmish maps with opponent gods (2 player, 3 player and a 4 player map)
- - Gods playground: From it you'll load skirmish maps and it will feature some minigames and fun-stuff
- - 4 "Mini Epics" (Inferno, Regrowth, Vortex, Meteor-Storm). They'll be fired from the altar. If a volcano wonder is built next to it, it will activate the inferno wonder (50.000ish mana)

- If you want the new creatures you have to start a new game for creature selection.
- # ADDITIONS
- - Added Tiger as playable creature
- - Added Gorilla as playable creature
- - Added new loading screens (probably want to add better loading screens at some point)
- - Land 3 influence will now also extend with villagers
- # AI CHANGES
- - AI now has less defenders in their hometowns
- - Changed how the AI decides to build defenders
- - Increased time between attacks slightly
- - Increased the radius where AI siege weapons will search for a enemy wall/gatehouse from 300 to 750

- - AI epics now need more time to charge up each time they use it

- - Last-land artefacts can now be purchased as often as you want, but they'll get more expensive each time you buy it
- - Reduced siege weapons movement speed to something similar like platoons
- - Set artefact cost for last-land hundred soldiers to 240.000
- - Set artefact cost for last-land hundred archers to 280.000
- - Set artefact cost for last-land siege engine to 140.000
- # FIXES
- - Bearfights in the theatre now only play if the theatre has 100% health, also they don't play all the time now
- - Fixed a bug where the AI wouldn't attack in the second phase of land 7
- - Fixed a bug where the AI was able to recruit too many armies
- - Fixed a bug where the player got twice as much tribute for completing the land
- - Fixed wind sound during loading screen
- - Fixed some dialogues playing twice
- - Fixed AI villagers cheering nearby AI armies endlessly, causing them to get stucked (Might have fixed a number of issues related to villagers)
- - Fixed some navigation issues on the 6th land
- - Enemy generals now comment player actions less
- - Improved in which direction AI earthquakes will head
- - In land 7 the hurricane won't trigger now if the greek town is controlled by the AI
- # MAP CHANGES
- - Added symbols on maps which indicate the possible targets of an AI Epic (Applies only for earthquakes and volcanos)
- - Flattened the landscapes around the player town in land 4, land 5 and land 6.
- - Land 4: Removed some static objects like fences which cause navigation issues
- # OTHER
- - Increased the size of sheeps required for the "Lost Sheeps" quests by 75%
