VMG24h 2021 Announcement

Good Morning/ Afternoon/ Evening.

So most of you are aware of the situation we currently face here at the 2021 VMG 24 Hours of Spa.
However, for those of you unaware i will provide a simple brief of the situation so that we are all on the same page.
The situation is as follows:

-> I have no access to any of the forms or submission folders.
-> I have no access to any of the locked channels regarding announcements/ bot changes/ setwarding or role tagging. Making moderation/ Race Stewarding/ Basic communication near impossible on a mass scale.
-> I have no information regarding unnoted rule clarifications that are required in the rulebook. For instance; Car Swapping and team renaming.
-> I have no information regarding server settings, what live weather plugin(s) we use or live timing plugins/ links that the server requires. I was not even originally supposed to do this but certain members of the Orgonisation rage quit after Spa because they couldnt take Critisism that was warranted (Not the first time the certain member has done this to a series in the past either from sources i know)..
-> Alongside the above point. I was never supposed to be doing the server because VMG have a server hosted from a "friend" or something along the lines of that which never seemed to materialise at all in the time i have been here since the Interlagos race.

That is the basic situation. I have, effectively, nothing. No access to anything that's vitally needed to run this event as efficiently as possible even though a few managers have personally messaged me informing me of things (and i can not thank you all enough for taking that initiative and attempting to help me via informing me personally. It is EXTREMELY appreciated).
In the Discord i have seen a lot of comments that  question how this event will go ahead. Even i, myself, have questioned this and have attempted to still keep this event running at the best of my ability with the lack of information I have. To then have the only other person i had working with me compeltely dissassociate themselves because of "reputation" puts me in a situation where i am now alone, with no (effective) backup or information or abilities of fluid management. I have been left with files regarding the skinpack to sort for the event (and obviously repackage if any skins get submitted to me henceforth) and that is it outside of any information from team managers regarding car changes and driver line up alterations.
Of course, I have had offers from various members regarding help. They will be well aware of my responses to them being along the lines of "we will be okay". This is due to the fact that if one group wishes to dissassociate because of "reputation" then, surely, on the basis of that logic they will also follow when similar situations arise within the coming two weeks, especially whilst other events happen at the same time as our 24 hour event. Therefore i have been left with a difficult question that has been, quite honestly, "danced around" for the past few days leading up to this exact post.
"Will we cancel or...?"

"Professionally" I am not in a position to make this decision as Joey is still the CEO of VMG and has NOT given me explicit permissions to make decisions like this regarding the event.

HOWEVER

For the sake of the reputation of VMG and Joey I am forcing my hand and making this decision on his behalf because of the situation I have been positioned into due to his innactivity and lack of contactability. The decision is as follows;

"I, Alex Skinner, hereby declare that the 2021 VMG 24 Hours of Spa AND forthcoming events in the 2021 VMG Endurance Championship shall be suspended until such a period of time that specific members of the Organisation team are able to retake their duties and allow other members of the team to view vital information that would ensure the possibility of professional event management. In the event of the decision being overturned by the CEO (Joey Vroljik), the responsibility shall fall on him to ensure the event is set up in a manner of which represents the quality that VMG strives to meet of which cannot be met at this current stage. I take full responsibility for this decision and any critique or feedback on this decision should NOT be targeted towards other members of the Organisation outside of myself."

I would, personally, like to apologise for anyone who was looking forward to the event. Under normal circumstance where i have access to the information that would enable myself to run this event to a respectable standard, I would do so. However the current situation does NOT allow this therefore i can not allow the event to be run when I, myself, cannot even guarantee the event will be able to go forward even if i attempted to ensure it did. Alongside this there have been notifications regarding other events on the same day. Therefore for the sake of respect to those teams having to schedule around those it is only fair to announce this at an advanced time. I also sincerily apologise to those teams if this announcement is "too late" regarding those events. I wanted to attempt to ensure this event ran but sadly could not live up to that.

In the event that the series does continue, I will be more than happy to retain myself as a Race Director and Steward for the forthcoming event(s) should they commence. However, for the time being, I will not be dellegating any time towards VMG until such a point as i can access all the relevant things i am required to in order to effectively run the series.
